- In this video Bill Valavanis takes us on a walk around of his garden at International Bonsai. Bill has been developing these trees for a number of years and the quality and age of the trees really shows. Corin reminisces about trees he remembers from his time with bill and is surprised by some of his new additions.

@@greenwoodbonsaistudio who cares if the exposure wasn’t perfect the content was. It was a pleasure to watch two old friends enjoying each other’s company and some world class trees. Its the first time ive seen all of Bills garden and obviously ive seen it from different angles but your video linked all the pieces together.

Fantastic! Thank you :-) Love the x2 mixed maple seedlings at 24 minutes in, never seen a Osakazuki ( the left one ) used as maple bonsai before.
There are some beeches with similar leaf shape on highfields park in Nottingham, near the island in the middle of the lake
There’s also a reasonable size variegated turkey oak near the croquet greens

Yes. Only because importing trees from USA to UK can’t be done. !
Bill has some amazing trees, many of us wil never get. His Shishigashira bonsai is out of this world. I love them as bonsai, but not as garden trees. One of the only maples i don´t like as a garden tree.
Where and how do you winter over all these trees?
How do you water all of these during dry summers?
