- In this video Corin walks around the exhibition and talks us through some of his favourite trees. This is a unique insight into the show as Corin acquired special permission to film the exhibition .
Bill Valavanis (the show organiser) is a close friend of Corin's so it was a very enjoyable opportunity to be involved in the show.

Most video's are without commentary, Corin has just made a great statement sharing his knowledge and expertise with us. Which makes viewing so much more enjoyable. Thank you!!
Thank you so much. Book can be ordered here

The Rocky Mountain juniper and bald cypress in water were a knock out. Very well presented Corin. Thanks for taking us through a world of happiness. 👩🏻🌾🪴
Thank you for your impressions of the show. I’m especially proud of our Canadian who gave the Americans a run for their money! Mike Roussel (pronounced roux-cell) has the patience of a meditation master, and the talent beyond his years! Really appreciate you highlighting his two thujas!
Congratulations Mike!
Thank you Corin> your commentary made it worthwhile.
Glad you enjoyed it!
It was nice to meet you, Corin. Your demo was the highlight of my experience, indeed.
Thanks very much, Good to hear
Thanks for giving us an insight into the show Corin, really appreciated. I particularly liked the Thuja at 31:00. I have some large specimens in my garden and couldn't see how much work had gone into the tree until you zoomed in. Truly brilliant with the horizontal foliage.
I think the owner said he'd spent 34 hours wiring it for the show
Having seen the 'vertical' foliage on my garden Thujas, it was wiring time well spent Corin. They look so different will the foliage turned to the horizontal.
Wow many beautiful bonsai tree at 8 th US National Exebition.
Greeting one hobby Bonsai from Indonesia.
From America. Thank you. I appreciate the commentary.
Thanks for watching!
Oh wow that cypress in water was original!

Stunning trees. Lovely to see that Ginko. Thank you Corin 🙏
Very much appreciate your identifying the trees, the style, the pot selected, and overall views of this great bonsai event. Safe travels back to England. Keep your videos coming my friend.
That show is something else such a fantastic, and that back lit stand is totally amazing thanks for sharing 😜
Super promenade, merci pour la vidéo!

Lovely job
Made it early to a video nice job wish I could be there thank you for sharing it so early
that bald cypress in water is gorgeus!
Thanks so much for the video Corin! Absolutely loved them all. Hard to pick a favorite. We’ll probably go next year since we only live 4hrs away 🙌🏼
Where is it? Im in Gwinnett GA
that cypress stood out all on its own with its own uniqueness, it was mesmerizing and memorable, thats how i like to see them presented. they are all beautiful but everything looked the same, except for a few, all the way down to the stands.
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your tip ! Glad you like our work Bill
OOMMGG what a trees just no comment .
Bonsai bonsai yang ditampilkan sangat luar biasa indah...❤❤❤❤
Cheers from Ojai California. Gorgeous trees
Yes, well done to all the exhibitors, and helpers at the show !
So many superb trees. The Douglas Fir was stunning as was the Limburg Pine. Very informative walkthrough Corin, thanks.
You're right, both were very good trees !
*Limber
That the Pseudotsuga menziesii is my favourite. Not normally seen in this country as bonsai. The movement and bark are amazing
Excellent Corin
WHATTTTT!? When you said Rochester I figured "ah you have a Rochester in the UK too." Then you said NY and I realised I'm an hour away in Buffalo and never knew this happened.
There once was a man from Devises,
Whose trees were different sizes
One was quite tall
And no use at all,
But another was wee and won prises
That Korean Hornbeam, not a leaf out of place👏 Not sure about the best in show, branches a bit immature compared to the trunk, foliage a bit sparse, would look better in a few weeks. The Azalea but, wow! I'm off the try and find a picture of Mark Arbegs Nana cascade from before. Loved having a critique with your expert commentary, thanks heaps Corin👏👏👏cheers from Australia👍
Having said all that about The Scots pine, seeing it on the back of Bjorns truck in his pre show video, it looked better, I think maybe the lighting in the stadium and the fact it stood alone without a backdrop contributed to being able to see through it more? But still there was 2 or 3 more pines in your video I liked better.
I live less than 5 miles away from this, but went to buy tickets and they were sold out on that day I could go! :( I wanted to meet you and others!
Rất nghệ sỹ, chào anh nha🎉
Im in love with the bald cypress in water! How come the water looks black? Did they use squid ink or food coloring? Or just from the dirt? I mean i love it looks literally like swampwater!
Something was used to colour it but not sure what
Did anyone else notice the Limburg Pine (32:31 mark)? The trunk looks like a woman running with her arm back and her skirt flowing around her legs? Check it out when the zooms in. But maybe I'm just seeing things...wouldn't be the first time, lol.
👍👌🙂
How’s that tree at 28:05 not won an award!
That japanise yewas sweet:}
what tree who you like to buy
Where can we purchase the book for the exhibit? Would love to have one.
book can be pre-ordered
here www.usnationalbonsai.com/register/commemorative-items/
I never caught the name of the book by the photographer.
Does anyone know??
The book will be out in a few months. Available from International Bonsai website. It’s the 8th national exhibition album. Photographer is Joe Noga
You look a lot like Mark Wahlberg, a little chubby and bearded
this last nat expo could have been the lowest tree quality expo I've seen... I wonder if the pac Bonsai expo has sucked the wind out of this show, people who might have made the drive east before are now saying meh pass now
goood thumbnail haha
Bonsai without sufficient space between pads are just little bushes.
