    We can simulate age in so many ways with our technique, but the tree is in control of the bark!!
    Thank you for allowing me to attend an international show with you - always exciting to see collected trees that are just not possible here . . .

    Hi Nigel sorry we could not wait around for you to be free at the show , we had a schedule to meet in the afternoon. Your Chinese Penjing was suburb my friend. Always a treat to visit this show. Thanks, Brendan and I sure enjoyed it.

    Those Suiseki are fantastic looking stones. Especially the snow cap mountain stone.

    Someone finally came up with a solution for your shohin stand lighting issue. Lol
    Also, using that iron plate for the beetle accent was brilliant!

    Beautiful show. My favorite might have been the persimmon full of fruits.
    I'd love to have one like that, too. But every tree in the show looked great!

    Wow, that was fast!! It was great to see you again, Nigel. Thank you for the kind words about me to my parents, that was very nice. Also, I was STUNNED by your Chinese village penjing!! It was so much smaller in person, and the tigerbark ficuses were superb.

    The upright plant is a horsetail, or Equisetum, species 🙂

    I can't wait to make it to a show up there, you always have the best footage, regardless of your tough filling conditions sometimes!
    Some amazing trees today, it's neat to see some we've seen before so we can see their improvements also. Thanks as always Nigel, you rock!

    Nigel your group plantings are superb! Really impressed. For the rest - this is personal - I don't like trees that have been oversculpted, if that's a word. I'm much happier with miniature, natural-looking trees, and there were some belters (English expression meaning v good).

    The rush accent plant is Sabah Snake Grass I think.

      It could also be horsetail

    Nigel, you're going to have to learn a few more scientific names so you don't wear out Thuja Occidentalis.... Thanks for the great videos!
