Yup. I was born in Australia but grew up most of my life in the middle of N. America. North, South, East or West you couldn't get further from the Ocean. However, I went back after highschool and learned the intense respect that's needed for the Ocean. In Minnesota we have over ten Thousand perfectly flat and level lakes but my point is that I've taught my boys the importance of water fitness and awareness!
Just like local kids cliff diving in the canyons in my area. They seem to count on their training (from "elder" kids) and experience. It does seem like any deaths reported are visitors. I think I'm ok with that system rather than more protection for youth.
Its sad that so many visitors to Hawaii have to return to the mainland in bodybags. Drownings are a cottage industry here. Locals here at one point or the other always end up saving mainlanders lives. However, its sad to watch them drown sometimes.
Can tell he from da islands. Watch how his head quickly turned when the water receded from the ledge around 4:20. On the islands. If you not comfortable with the water, stay out. Besides, I didn't see any disrespect towards the ocean so he good🤙
Future life guard's right there!. Throughout the whole video all I saw was how focused they we're on reading the ocean. Most likely learned from their parents. 808allday!!
In the summer it's not like that, winter time is rough, was there for about 3 years, those guys weren't local, they just stupid... very few people that live in Kauai go there all the time. But I have some great video's of the locals.
I live in the mountains of NC and when I went to Hawaii I was standing there just looking at the waves and some locals about my age told me to jump in with them so I did and they were like wow we typically mess with tourists they never actually jump in they just have panic attacks when locals jump in. They said it’s aggravating how many people assume they are in danger

Those Island boys are simply at another level when it comes to understanding the Ocean. However, it's their playground and just like other kids on other kinds of playgrounds, they should be considerate and kind to visitors. Too much of Hawaii is cruel and racist. I understand wanting to keep the population down but you do it by keeping respectful standards. Not intimidation.
Been there plenty it is right before Queens Bath on Kauai . A lot of people don’t keep walking to the bath which is a little further. Local kids always there, not a bad day.
Yep, just gonna film you guys jump in there ok? Looks like a terrible idea, but I’ll get a million views on RUclips.. not gonna try too hard to dissuade you.. good looking out bro!

To many people say this is queens bath, IT IS NOT. This is the pool of death on the big Island Hawaii
I recorded this video while staying in Princeville Kauai and it was definitely not on the Big Island.
Been there plenty it is right before Queens Bath on Kauai . A lot of people don’t keep walking to the bath which is a little further. Local kids always there, not a bad day.
