  • CN 8953, and CN 8935 lead a stack train south, down the CN Waukesha Sub. This was filmed on Subway Road, just north of Fond Du Lac, WI. Well, I saw a very early heads up of this train, like over 200 miles north of a heads up. I knew right away this train wasn't making it south of Fond Du Lac with any daylight, so my only hope to see this train was to catch it coming into Shops Yard, which is what I did. Leading was a unit I have been wanting to see for ages, CN 8953! This is just a normal SD70M-2, with an amazing sounding RS3L! It's not fouled at all and it sounds great! It doesn't have much of a fade, but it still sounds great! Trailing was another M2, making yet another sweet EMD duo. This train didn't depart until 9 PM, and at 12 AM I was standing in my backyard, trying to get some audio of this unit again, but that just didn't work. I have a pond that is way to loud for that, but at least I just barely caught it here!
