  • UP 8810, UP 6182, and chuggin' away on the rear is UP 6483, drag a coal train west, out on the UP Adams Subdivision. This was filmed of HWY 164, in Sussex, WI. Every time I go up north, I go across this crossing. Usually I see nothing, but when I went across I saw a headlight to the east. After making a U-turn, and finding my usual spot to park, I got setup. It was a loaded coal train, which was very unexpected for me! Leading was a SD70ACe, with a crispy flag, and a awesome RL K5LLA! Trailing was a former SP motor, looking rather clean. On the rear, was a rebuilt UP AC44 chuggin' away! It was also really clean, and fresh! For not having a clue this was coming, this was a really nice catch!

Living close to where the Adams sub crosses Lilly Rd in Menomonee Falls I have found that most of the traffic runs at night inbound and outbound from Butler yard... so I would agree this was a lucky catch!!
