  • This is a video I shot back on December 26th, 2023, boxing day of the daily Canadian National Westbound manifest train to Saint John down the Sussex Sub, through my hometown of Rothesay near mile 78, with a rare load about mid train.
On this train, was what appeared to be, a set of an electric "shuttle train" loaded onto flat cars for the Port of Saint John, to be loaded onto a vessel and head overseas. Rumors around stated they were going to the Dominican République, but I am not sure if they lead to be true. It was certainty neat to see, and a rarity for this line!
CN L594 has a pair of GE locomotives for power, CN ET44AC 3152 leading the charge, along with CN (EX CREX) 2767 trailing, hauling about 86 cars of mixed freight and the rare cargo mid train!
