Thanks for watching. I do have a tooth bar on the bucket. When I got my tooth bar the company BXpanded that makes the Piranha wasn't around yet. I have heard great things about the Piranha tooth bar and I hear it does a super job taking the sod layer off.
Thanks for watching. I agree with you. These loaders are hard to come by and when they do come up for sale they are gone in a flash. I'm certainly glad that I got mine when I did. It's a great attachment and I use it a lot. I've also made a set of forks for it and a grapple which has come to be my favorite attachment.
@@X748SE when’s the grapple video coming. By the way I comment on another of your snowy vids that I was thinking of the x590. But took your advice and others and got a used 2018 x738. Got a great deal. I’m not sure how to find a model 45 loader? May just go with the Little Buck Loader. It’s about 3k plus a 2-3 hundred for shipping.
@@Malinois_Whisper CONGRATS on getting the X738! You will not regret your decision. Just a heads up, I don't know if you know or not, but John Deere no longer makes a loader for the 2013 to date, X700 Signature Series. A 45 loader will not fit on your tractor unless a custom mounting bar is manufactured. There is another aftermarket loader made by Compact Tractor Components (CTC) that you may want to have a look at and it fits your tractor. Fairly good reviews for this loader. It is a little better design where to weight of the loader and load is spread between both axles instead of mostly on the front axle as for the Little Buck loader. It maybe a little easier to mount and dismount the loader too as it it is more like the 45 loader. Secondly, if you are planing to use your loader on your X738 you may want to "shim" the implement relief valve (IRV) from factory (around 1000 PSI) setting to just over 1400 PSI. It makes a world of difference. A link to how that can be done can be found here: --> www.mytractorforum.com/threads/legacy-k92-hydraulic-psi-increase-done.69683/ I've did mine back in early 2013 and have had ZERO issues with it. Most people who have loaders for these tractors have done this modification.
@@X748SE Thank you especially for the link on the valve relief. I’ve heard other blogs talking about it but no one ever went into detail so I look forward to watching the link. I have seen several vlogs stating CTC is a good 3rd party FEL. Including positive feedback from Carlos who makes the Little Green Monster unit for the x3-x5 JD ‘s. I really like the way Little Bull looks...but I’m going to look into your good point about potential weight distribution issues with a single center only hydraulic.
Thanks for watching. This 45 loader will not fit on a X739. John Deere no longer makes a loader for the 2013 --> present X700 Signature series. There is an after market company that does make one. The company is called Compact Tractor Components (CTC) and they can be found here: --> compacttractorandcomponents.com/index.htm
Thanks for watching and your query. First of all a toothbar makes a world of difference when digging and loading up material like dirt and I highly recommend getting one. I got my toothbar for my 45 loader from Everything Attachments back in 2012. Since then the BXpanded Piranha Toothbar has come out and a lot of people are using them and seem to really like them.
@@KirtH27 Thanks for watching. I got my cable operated joystick from a surplus store up here in Canada. You can find joysticks in the USA at the www.surpluscenter.com/ Search for "joystick controller" and then "Control Cable". The control cables comes in different lengths so you must measure to see which one fits best for you needs. Hope that this helps!
@@X748SE Could you be any more specific on how you set up the joystick? I was lucky enough to just score a 45 loader for my X700 and your set up looks way better than the stock JD arrangement.
Thanks for watching and your query. Unfortunately you can't have the loader and brush guard because of the way the loader mounts/uses the front weight bracket. You can have the mower and the loader on at the same time though.
@@X748SE Great to hear. Love your videos and all the great stuff you do with that X7 series machine. It is truly impressive what those garden tractors can do
Thanks for watching. Yes I do "sort of" monitor the hydraulic oil temperatures. I make sure that the hydraulic oil cooler radiator is kept clean of debris and I give the tractor a cooling off period every hour of so. I believe that there is an over temp sensor near the radiator the will shut the machine down if it gets close to overheating. Keeping the rads clear of debris (grass) is key to keeping the machine and hydraulic oil cool.
have you tried using a piranha tooth bar on the bucket?
