I have found that these bus loops aren't very efficient. A better option is station to residential to station to commercial to station to industrial. A second loop goes residential to commercial to residential to industrial. This seems to prevent the stops from clogging up because there is no space in the bus. Essentially the bus picks up and drops off and collects only those for the return journey. I hope that makes sense and perhaps you could test that in the next episode.

That’s a great idea and could work well!
I’ve had a lot of success with the loop style, I just add more buses to solve congestion even if the line barely breaks even. The real money is made with trains due to the longer distance, the buses just connect more potential passengers for the trains.
Also I typically let the cities grow naturally, so I don’t have as clearly defined borders between my city sections. Especially when the city grows 2 or 3x as large, I wouldn’t have one main “industry” stop, so it’s just easier to do a loop route that hits everywhere

Yeap, agree. I stick to the following rules:
      1) Customers will take the fastest way of transport. So make it as direct (route) and simple (number of stops) as possible.
      2) Customers never travel between areas of same type, and always travel through home. So your lines should be Residentional Industries, or Residentional Shops. Shop Industry is useless. Your intercity station also counts as destination, so I suggest a tram line to each area with 2-3 stops only. Then existing network will do the rest.
      3) Customers do not how to do Park&Ride. If your Intercity station is not connection via another way of transport, they consider it unreachable. Keep the whole town covered with stops to get max coverage.
      4) Transport should ALWAYS travel both directions. Make reverse routes as shown in the video 13:00
