    This will help me not having to drop the weights and worry where it lands, or making loud noises. Sometimes when i drop the weights after a set it would hit/ding bench frame.

      Yep! Also ensures that you're set up and ready for the next set as opposed to having to pick them back off the floor!

    I've been using dumbbell hooks from another brand for several years. Mine have a built in Velcro strap which wraps around the dumbbell after placement. Any spotter hooks are great to have. To the (macho) guys that think they have to raise dumbbells from their knees, I ask: Where does the bar start for bench press? Where does the bar start for squats. Same thing here! These are perfect to use with my smith machine. Bench press requires you to lift bar up a slightly forward to start. Same with these. If you work out alone like I do, these are great for the heavier dumbbells!

    Nice review. I saw this this morning on a RUclips video. I was almost certain they would be a great addition to my home gym. I've always struggled kicking up dumbells and getting into a position due to a bad AC joint in my left shoulder. I'm super excited to try these and greatly appreciate your review.

    LOL! Love the demo on how the larger diameter dumbbell handles will not fit. Reminds me of a bad tv ad. Oh the frustration this doesn't work. Maybe if I try one more time.

    Just received mine today.They are the 2.0 version.They use a nylon strap in the cradle area.

    I bought mine today. I was doing incline dumbbells. I was using a little heavy weight 110. I’m 50 and have injuries from years of insanity. I skipped one of the sets this morning because it was hurting my shoulder to toss them up with my knees, the way I had always done. the weight when it’s up there doesn’t feel very heavy but getting it up there feels like it weighs a ton. So I googled and it is or what I found. I’m sure they work great for incline or anything else.

    Do they work with the Bowflex 1090 dumbbells? The handle for the dumbbell is fatter in the middle and tapers out on both ends. The Knurling looks like it is the same thickness through out on on the spoofed hooks.

    • @MattPendergraph
      @MattPendergraph  2 года назад

      Honestly hard to say without owning any myself. I suggest measuring the thickest portion to see if it exceeds the 1.25" opening of the spotter cradle.

    • @DonaldConceicao
      @DonaldConceicao Год назад

      I don’t think their compatible, my 1090’s handles flair out at 4” plus the handle at its widest is over 1.25”

      @@MattPendergraph can these hang on a pull up mate? the circumference on the pull up mate bar is 2inches.

    • @MattPendergraph
      @MattPendergraph  Год назад

      @@chrisdopez8443 I can't see why not! They easily hang from the ends of a barbell which is right at 2" as well. Hopefully that helps!

    Bought these, and if your trying to work heavy weights, these are just awkward as hell. When you line up under the bar to pull them down, your lining up in a proper position. Which means, since these bars stay attached, they clank into the bar. You can try to not lift hem up and in an improper position, but you have to scoot down inches and it is VERY awkward if not dangerous with heavy weights not being lifted straight up and off. Additionally, the fabric pad to attach them and keep them rigid, adds additional thickness to the bars your grabbing. I never felt like I had a solid secure grip. It was actually rather scarey. I went back to the knees because that's actually safer than not having firm grips and lifting off center with weights hovering over your head that are running 80+ lbs.

      Appreciate the insights! They definitely take some getting used to if you decide to go this route, but ultimately personal comfort and safety is more important at the end of the day! Appreciate you watching!
