They may not be perfect, but the Tyrells are still one of my favorite houses. I appreciate how the women of their house played the game of thrones in their own way, doing with whatever circumstances and opportunities they're given in the reality they live in.

At some point, the Gardner line started run out kings with good sense, but were kept strong by the Tyrells management of the there realm. When the Gardner line was destroyed, which even Margery acknowledges may have been due to council of her ancestor, they simply positioned themselves to be the new rulers of the reach and rule openly rather then behind the scenes.

Mina and Janna may have existed in the show, but Mina is probably wed to Paxter Redwyne and her surname is now Redwyne by marriage and Janna is wed to Jon Fossoway, meaning that her surname has also changed as well. By rights Highgarden and the South should have gone to Paxter since he may be married to a Tyrell but Bronn got Highgarden instead. I liked Bronn a lot but he should’ve gotten the twins of the Dreadfort as his castle. Not Highgarden.

Yeah it's kind of a dick move by Aegon to name the Tyrells the lord paramount of the reach when it was the Hightowers of Oldtown that crowned him as king of Westeros, though again, to be fair with Aegon giving that title to House Hightower would create a house near equal to his own house' strength and influence.

He was the one Sansa was offered, and Sansa was happy with the idea, which made her being tricked all the more sad.

George RR Martin himself pronounces “Baratheon’s” as “Bar-ah-thee-onz” and “Cersei” as “Cer-seh”. So it really doesn’t matter if its “Ti-rell” or “Ty-rell”, it comes down to the person.
