    Yes! I love how you have equal parts water to oil/butter. I love that! I been looking for a recipe that didn't have more water than oil/butter. Winter time I need more moisture! Thanks for sharing!

    This recipe looks great. I want to make a heavy duty one for a sticky man. I want to use charcoal, peppermint oil, eucalyptus lemon and maybe tea tree and/or lavender essential oil. I’m wondering if I could add bentonite clay or bi carb soda or something else? Apple cider vinegar? Surely some of these things wouldn’t work? I feel like there’s too many options…. Thanks for the inspo Dora xxxx

      You’re so welcome Nicole. Everything you said seems ok. Although, shower gels aren’t my forte’. I’m not sure about the vinegar tho- just bc of the smell mainly. But everything else looks good. Try it out!!

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  2 года назад

      This is such a common question that I’m adding polysorbate 80 next time, no matter what! LOL! (But seriously, I am!). As of right now, my shower gel looks the same as the day I made it. I suppose it could separate in the future but my guess is if it was going to do so, it probably would’ve done so by now

    it lathers so easily with little surfactant because of the oatmeal. many folks don't know it, but oatmeal in itself is a natural soap.

    If you add more water will you need to add more of the preservative? I have been looking for a non toxic body wash and the ones I have been seeing don't use a preservative when making body washes. From the research I have been doing it says to use a preservative when using water. That is correct, right?

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  2 года назад

      I’m not a scientist so I don’t know on the sub-atomic level why- but if I had to guess when the water is emulsified into a jelly with guar gum the atoms are changed & therefore can be mixed with oils. This shower gel is still good ti go & mixed up (no separation)

    • @CreativeBathLab
      @CreativeBathLab  2 года назад +1

      The easiest way to do that is to make the base, then add it to a big batch of the thick jelly stuff (in the "issues" chapter). That will double/triple it right there. OR just double, triple the entire recipe

    • @CreativeBathLab
