I made oat milk using just the first press of soaked oats yesterday. I was amazed how there was no separation on standing at all. I’m so happy with the cut soap today. You make beautiful soap x
I recently textured the top of one of my soaps with a whisk, and it was driving me bonkers trying to figure out where I saw it. I thought it was one of your videos, but it took me a while to figure out which one. I made sure to state I saw it here first, and added a link to this video in my description to give you credit 😍. Thanks for sharing your art with us. 🥰
love the swirl! for my plain bars i know i wanted a whipped soft texture and this trick is genius ! i froze my milk this time but i adore how you go straight in with the milks/creams. the vanilla bean powder is such a. cute speckle! i’m trying to find a balance of less prep and maximize time. the heat transfer methods & water discounts seem effective.
This the 1st video i have seen of hers. And i have to say i am loving some of her techniques from the melting of the oils and how she did the oat milk to the textured top. Would of never thought of that myself. Good job! Lol
OMG I fell on your video and the whisk swirls, I love it. I can’t wait to tag you in it to see if I can do it as well as you in my soap. Simple and beautiful...
I gave my mom a bar of your Roses and Violets soap for her birthday, and she asked me to let you know that she's really enjoyed using it in these trying times. It makes the whole hand-washing process more bearable when you have something pretty to smell and look at while you're doing it. :> Thanks for all the great work that you do!
I haven't seen anyone else use the whisk to decorate the top of their soap! I do that! I am a beginner and I love playing with different designs on the top of my CP soaps and that is one of the designs I have been doing lately. Also, as a beginner I only use the heat transfer method. Lots of people say only advance soapers use the heat transfer method and that its not for beginners however it is the only way that has really worked for me. I love the heat transfer method because I soap at around 85 degrees every time. I find it gives me more time to enjoy creating different designs. It also is a time saver and I don't have to worry about babysitting my lye water and waiting for the temp to drop. It is the method I am most comfortable with. I love watching your videos!!! You are awesome at making soap look like its coming to life and turning into something special and beautiful!! Your videos are genius and they they show what a true artist really is!!! I really appreciate you sharing how special it is to be able to create and make art come to life!! Thank you!!!
Nice simple soap and I bet it smells amazing. Do you add the oat milk as part of your liquid amounts(subtracted from the lye solution amount) or just as a 5% additive ? I hope I asked that right.. thanks
Neat idea with the whisk! I'd love to know about straining the nut milk. I have nut milk bags I've used. Did putting it through the strainer allow some of the oats through (which could give some extra goodness to the soap I'm sure 😍)? I love the simplicity in the design too. 😍😍😍
Oh, I do like that a lot. Lately I am obsessed with white soaps. Do you suppose if I cook the heck out of my steele cut oats and run them through a Vitamix I could make oat milk? I don't think I have rolled oats. I just really want to try this....
Very nice texture, can u say wt s the lye:water ratio for soaps like this.. loving it.. thank u for sharing. I love all ur soaps.. beautifully crafted..
Beautiful soap. But I would have loved it if you could have explained some things like how much lye you used, at what point did you add the oatmeal to hot lye water, etc. ? Where did you find your molds, cutter, etc?
I didn’t add the oat milk to the lye water. It shows me adding it into the soap about half way into the video :). All the equipment I use is linked in description box.
Hi. I saw on one of your videos that you make jewelry. I saw some pieces that I loved. Are you still making jewelry? If so, where can I take a peek at what inventory you have to sell.
Julie do measure out the hard oils in the buckets way in advance so you grab and go or do you do it the day of? I know those buckets are pretty air tight once the lids are on.
The TD is so it can be some what thick and the oats won’t only be at the bottom but all in the mix ?? I have trouble with my soap that all the oats end up at the bottom lol and the top nothing in the middle like yours :(
@@OpheliasSoapery The hard oils are your Butters, what you mixed the Lye into. It looks like Cocoa Butter and Coconut Butter. Or is the latter Palm Oil?
@@OpheliasSoapery Now what are the dangers of soap overheating? I had it happen to me. It seized hard..like seconds and then became hard in the mold..then liquid again with the top cracking and is now hard in the mold
1st time I've seen a whisk swirl. Beautiful results. Who knew something so simple could have my jaw on the ground lol
My first time seeing it to and I have to say it my favorite.
me too
I was thinking the same. So COOL!!
I love how you "live dangerously" with a full container of oil and just the teeniest tiniest space for the stick blender!!💛🧡💛🧡
Beautiful as normal, there's something so calming about a plain soap :-)
Oohh love a simple yet beautifully made soap! That design with whisk on top of the slab, though! So creative!

I love the way you textured the top! Oooh I want this soap! 😍
I love the way the texture on the top turned out!! And the scent sounds amazing!!
Lovely,i enjoyed watching, the finishing results was perfect
The tops are so cute on these!! I bet they smell wonderful 💕
OMG... first time I see the whisk technique. Beautiful. Another project to add, lol. It’s all piling
up. 😀. Thanks.

Love the whisk twist you did on the top. Very cool!
Love the way you did the top!
I love the whisk idea I don't do so well using the back of a spoon...Beautiful soap
The way you did the top was awesome and I bet the soap is so silky too.
The whisk design was an awesome feature! Turned out lovely :)
I love the wire whisk topping I never thought of that thank you for sharing.
I made an oat milk and Aloe soap last month! Got rave reviews. Half milk and half aloe Vera juice.
LOL, I love your texturing method. The pattern is cute and elegant.

So perfectly beautiful. I learned so much today, like how to make oat milk. I love your talent and expertise. Thank you for sharing.
A lovely bar of soap.
I just love your soaps! Always so beautiful! ❣️
Very nice texture and I love the creaminess of the soap.
Simple yet beautiful. I love this!!!

Love that soap. You did a great job.
Simple. Yet, beautiful. 👍
Wow this is awesome so professional love it thank you 🙂
Beautiful soaps
I love using the heat transfer method....it's the only way to go ❤️
Ohhhhhh I love that!! 😍 💞
I would love to know where you found vanilla bean powder?
I believe I got it from Etsy a few years ago.
This is so beautiful!!! Than you for sharing! 💕
This is beautiful
Me encanta! Como una decoración tan sencilla hace tanto 😍😍
3:45 what does TD stand for?
Titanium dioxide. It is a white colorant for soap. :)
Soooo so beautiful!!! Can you share the full recipe?
Got to try the wisk

Yes. How ever much milk you use you would want to remove that much water. I believe I used 8oz of milk so I reduced my water by 8oz :)
Ophelia’s Soapery Thank you so much. I bought oats probably 2months a go to try oat milk soap. I guess now is a good time. 😅
I bet that feels wonderful on your skin...
Impressive love this

Very nice texture, can u say wt s the lye:water ratio for soaps like this.. loving it.. thank u for sharing. I love all ur soaps.. beautifully crafted..
I use a 1.5:1 water/lye ratio :)
@@OpheliasSoapery thanks for ur reply.. finally it means, if u add milk, then 1:1 water/lye and 0.5 milk, isn't it, am i right.. Thank u so much🙏
You can if you want to. I do not go any steeper than 1.5:1. I feel the batter thickens up faster. But it’s a personal preference :)
Just Love ur soapmaking... am going to make one of these ina few days.... question is wouldn't the oatmeal pulp used go bad in long run ?
No soap is a natural preservative :)
Beautiful soap. But I would have loved it if you could have explained some things like how much lye you used, at what point did you add the oatmeal to hot lye water, etc. ? Where did you find your molds, cutter, etc?

Hi. I saw on one of your videos that you make jewelry. I saw some pieces that I loved. Are you still making jewelry? If so, where can I take a peek at what inventory you have to sell.
Love it! Where may I get vanilla bean powder
I got it from Etsy years ago. I wish I could remember which shop. I’d like to order more too lol
This is a nice and creamy soap, I love it! Does the vanilla bean powder give it a vanilla smell at all, or is it for a little exfoliation or looks?
It’s just for looks. I’m obsessed with speckled soaps 😏
Julie do measure out the hard oils in the buckets way in advance so you grab and go or do you do it the day of? I know those buckets are pretty air tight once the lids are on.
I usually do it the day of or the day before :)
Ok. Thank you.
What did you dilute the titanium dioxide with & what’s the proportion? Thanks!
I use water soluble titanium dioxide. I’m not sure what the proportions are. I just eye ball it :)
Hi is the splitter 2 in 1 use? used to cut the log/loaves of soap and cutting the soaps individually as well?
I suppose you could. But you would have to change the wire size every time :/
🙌🏻💜💜💜"Love this!"
Can I use a food grade lye for soap making?
Yes. As long as it’s 99% lye.
Beautiful, you are so creative. Was the first song a version of Love Jones?
I’m not sure. I use music from RUclips’s audio library. :)
The TD is so it can be some what thick and the oats won’t only be at the bottom but all in the mix ?? I have trouble with my soap that all the oats end up at the bottom lol and the top nothing in the middle like yours :(
TD is to make your soap white. Maybe your batter is too thin. Are you making cold profess?
Hi. What TD stands for? thanks
Titanium dioxide. It is a white colorant. :)
@@OpheliasSoapery Thank you. One more question, your lye solution is with oat milk or water? Then you add more 5% of oat milk? i didn't understand
It’s made with water. I add the oat milk straight to the batter. It was 5% of my oil weight.
Thx. For sharing this ...please want to if 5% of oats milk is discount in quantity of water or it take about percentage of oils..?
Yes. I do a water discount to account for the oat milk.
@@OpheliasSoapery thx ☺️
Did you use mineral water/tap water?
I use distilled water
Ophelia’s Soapery thank you 🙏🏾
How many gram soap you make, the oil weight?
This mold holds 10 pounds.
What exactly are this hard oils?
@@OpheliasSoapery
The hard oils are your Butters, what you mixed the Lye into. It looks like Cocoa Butter and Coconut Butter. Or is the latter Palm Oil?
It’s coconut oil and cocoa butter 🥰
Thanks for sharing but can you tell me as i add 5% of oat milk you mean 5% of total weight or just oils ??
It’s 5% of the oil weight :)
Only one question. What is TD???
Is it coloring product???
Yes it makes soap white. It’s titanium dioxide :)
How long did it stay soft after you cut it? Did it take a longer time to cure? It’s such a luscious beautiful soap. Your soaps are always amazing. 🙌🏻👏
I let my soaps cure for 3-4 weeks. They get harder the longer they cure
Adding TD? What is TD?
Titanium dioxide. A white colorant.
@@OpheliasSoapery Now what are the dangers of soap overheating? I had it happen to me. It seized hard..like seconds and then became hard in the mold..then liquid again with the top cracking and is now hard in the mold
So, use a dry measure cup to measure your liquid?
I do 😊
What is TD
Titanium dioxide it’s the best to use if you want a white soap.
@@OpheliasSoapery What did you add to the oil because it was real thick?
👍✌️❤️
first! (wee!)
