Katie!!! Girl--LOVE, LOVE, LOVE how you lift up other soap makers and content creators (and the rest of us!). Also love that you don't feel the need to 'hard sell' your beautiful products with your videos but just seem to genuinely enjoy sharing the fun of creating with all of us who watch, whether we are soap makers or simply soap making voyeurs. This is one of the many reasons I watch your videos. 💖
I make soap, and you bring some techniques to life that I have only ever seen done by people who are trying to hide the process. I thank you for that. You also show me what some of the colorants actually look like. Some companies don't show the soap in regular light, so it never seems I get what I see on the computer. And the fact that you show us the reality of some ingredients-like acceleration, it makes other soapmakers feel like they aren't alone when some things get more challenging than they anticipated. I really do enjoy your videos! And all of y'all's quirkiness just adds to the fun. Best of all, you really are having fun, so it shows. I love the suggestion below of Royalty Oats for a name.
Oooh I love when you post videos with new additives/ingredients! The wildest we’ve ever done was beer soap and it was a trip. You’re always honest about your experience with new things and I really appreciate that! ~Raven
Ooooohhh "Goldy Locks" would be a great name! I'm glad your channel is more entertainment than advertisement. I love the designs you come up with and I love watching your videos. I haven't bought any soap from you but that's because I make my own, but I do get inspired by you to make something pretty once in a while!
Me and my eczema are excited for this one! I acknowledge that stove top oatmeal is better, but I have a deep love for the Quaker "_ and cream" packets that go in the microwave. Microwave Strawberries and Cream oatmeal has been my go-to hot breakfast on weekdays since I was a kid.
It’s so sweet of you that you don’t want people to feel pressured by things, but I want you to know that I have a good handful of your soaps now and it’s because I discovered your channel. So I’m happy for the extra revenue you get!
Katie.... you should have a patreon, and you can let your patrons help you decide between themes, or cool designs, they can see blooper footage, etc. I think that'd be super cool!!
that depends, quick oats, steel cut oats? steel cut? on the stove, quick oats, about double the amount of water you need, an d pour water into a bowl and leave for 2 minutes. mmmm i love the look of this soap! and you inspired me to start soaping myself! lavender soap is made, and minty pine soap is next. you always inspired me with everything you do, your positive attitude, and even when things look down you see the sunny side! thank you!!
Oh man this soap looks delicious! One of my favourite things to do with oats is make them Savoury! I cook them in vegetable stock then add stirfry veg and tofu on top, yum!
How interesting! I recently found out I'm allergic to them (major sadness!) but my husband can still have them, so I might have to make some savory oats. I used to use them as the filler in meatloaf (because I can't do bread crumbs or crackers either). Really nice way to keep it moist and tender while adding in some extra protein and fiber!
I had purchased my very first soap on the release date and I bought this one. It came today and I’m IN LOVE. I love watching your videos it makes me inspired. You have such talent to make beautiful soaps. Keep on living your dream because I will definitely be purchasing more in the future!
I LOVE your soaps! They smell fabulous, feel great on the skin and one major problem is that they are so gorgeous my Mom refuses to use the ones I bought her. Lol
Stove top oatmeal is the only way to go! Growing up, my dad would on occasion specially make oatmeal in the mornings before I got up and I would get a nice surprise! Miss those times!
I only ever cook oatmeal on the stove! But here in Sweden the tradition is to cook the oats in a bit of water with a pinch of salt, and then serve it with milk and maybe some berries, jam or syrup on top. I like to just put light brown syrup (basically liquid brown sugar) on mine, or some raspberry jam. And one of these days I really need to try to get my hands on one of the soaps you make! They just all look so amazing! And this coming from someone who has been using liquid hand soap exclusively for years! But yeah, I totally need a Royalty Soap soap bar, and I do need to get myself a pretty soap dish for it as well to really have it on display! I live alone but do appreciate little details that make my home a bit more cozy and homey, and a nice, handcrafted bar of soap on the bathroom sink is one such detail :)
This is the first soap I've ordered from you. It just arrived today, and it's soooo sweet and smooth. My skin doesn't feel dry after using it like it would with other bar soap. I love it!
This might be one of the prettiest soaps I've ever seen on this channel! Of course, that's largely a personal preference thing, but wow. Absolutely stunning!
Hi Katie, I got my Aurora Dreams and Garnet Gemstone today and I just wanted to say how beautiful they are in real life! Also, can't wait to try this one. I had oat and honey hand soap in the bathroom my whole life growing up, so it will be a throwback!
I've only bought one artisan soap ever from anyone and it was your soap called Elements. Talk about a pleasant surprise! The colors were great, but the texture and the smell were my favorite. The smell lifts my mood in a weird way. Will probably order again today. No idea how I first chanced upon your channel but it has become a guilt free pleasure. 😁 Keep up the good work! Cheers 🥂 from Mobile AL.
I love the Goldilocks theme, I was attracted to this soap by the oat milk and by your description of the scent, and my favorite food is porridge so I am all about that!
years ago I found an artisan soup that smelled like fresh cut lumber. It was my favorite and I never found it again. I would love to have something similar again, please try it sometime. Maybe a fathers day line, fresh cut grass, leather, coffee, cedar and fresh cut lumber!
Thank you for the quality content and being so good at inviting us along for the ride, whether we buy soap or not. So much respect for the way you are clear that your channel isn’t an ad for your product 🙌🏼🙌🏼. Katie you have integrity ❤️
When I was in college, we had to use the dorm kitchens, which were always a mess. In our rooms, we were only allowed microwaves and electric kettles. I still hated the texture of microwave oatmeal, so I learned to love pouring boiling water over my oats and letting it sit for 5-7 minutes before garnishing and eating. I still do it that way today, even though it's been over 6 years since I've lived in a dorm, lol. My father does the same thing, but he pours freshly brewed coffee over the oats instead of boiling water.
I have been watching you for almost a year now. I finally bought one of your soaps. I got the solar system one. I am really impressed with the soap. It smells great! It lathers well and it doesn't seem to bug the eczema on my hands. I'm sure I'll still have to be careful with it because of the fragrance and my hands. But so far I am really enjoying it! Thank you for a great product.
lovely soap! for all beginning soapmakers out there, keep in mind that the acceleration occurs when you add to your soap any additive that has simple carbs in it (sugars) -- so soaps with any "milk", be it animal, nut or otherwise plant-derived, are likely to produce some degree of acceleration, no matter how cold your working environment is.
It truly has everything my heart wants. The solid bottom layer, the crisp mica line, the swirl, the embeds, and oat milk for my poor skin! It’s a masterpiece.
I love overnight yoghurt and oatmeal with banana, cinnamon, and honey...I could eat that at any time, and everyday! But on a cold morning (or evening!), hob oats with brown sugar on top...drool...😋😘
Hey! I’m really impressed that you made homemade oat milk for this video. Store bought oat milk has many stabilizers in it that keep it from thickening and gelatinizing once it gets hot. I haven’t found a homemade oat milk recipe that you can heat without it getting gloopy and slimy and I’ve been looking for years! I suspect that’s why the soap got so thick so fast but nevertheless the results turned out great!!!
I love watching your videos. I found you channel a little while ago when it was recommended and just want to say you're amazing. I love that you support other creators and how genuine you are!
I watch every video and love them, but this is one soap I might actually be able to use. I have horribly sensitive skin. I need a cute looking sensitive skin soap with a fresh scent. It’s such a bummer to have to just look and wish for all your cool creations.
My husband and daughter suffer from eczema as well and our Naturopath Doctor recommended eliminating wheat and gluten from their diets and it TOTALLY cleared up their eczema.
I love hot oatmeal cooked on the stove top! I add a splash of milk on top, maple syrup, walnuts, cinnamon and bananas. I could eat it all year round and I enjoy seasonal fruits too, yum!!
Loved that process Katie, as always, great ASMR! You are ALWAYS so kind to others even when they aren't kind to you and you supporting other soap makers is awesome too. Folks, there is plenty to go around. People don't have to lose their minds over others making soap. It's OK. BREEEEAAAATH. :0)
It would be awesome if you began doing a few videos here or there that were tutorials for beginner soap-makers! How much oil, what type of oil, additives, etc.!
Oooh, I'm imagining an overnight oats soap - with blueberries & banana slices on the top!
I see you simplynailogical fann
@@amirasaadeh9631 you got me! 😄
That sounds so great tho
😍
You should call it, "Royalty Oats"!
This needs more likes!!!
Im on board with this
Yes!!!!!😊😊
YES!!! brilliant
THIS COMMENT.
"Sometimes messiness comes at the peak of creativity. So you must ignore it, move on, and believe in magic." Best quote ever!
I am adding that to my inspiration board, if I can get to it.....messy soap room. :)
“We don’t make mistakes...”
Those colors would be perfect for a caramel or dulce de leche soap!
I can't unsee it now omg
Omg yesss
My mum suggested "golden oats" for a title
Edit to add more: I get so confused when I hear oatmeal, I'm British so I call it porridge
Sam Hawkins I’m Jamaican and our porridge consists of cornmeal and condensed milk with spices
@@CherokeeMoor That's really cool, I don't know much about Jamaican food :)
I like that name since it doesn't actually have honey in it. :)
I was thinking the same thing! Golden oats is so fitting
I literally said that out loud and scrolled down to comment it lol
Does anyone else want a “cooking with Katie” (lol or even Kenny) video or is that just me?
(Her “this gal has a great recipe” made me think of this)

I like "Goldilocks" for the soap name.

I just about DIED laughing at 10:36 when Katie said "If you say cooked in the microwave you're a SINNER" XD That was the best!
me: will never make soap
also me: this tutorial seems very interesting!
Just that Hufflepuff Me: Got a Soap making book and starter kit for Christmas
Me and my eczema are excited for this one!

omg i love the candid "searches for oil"

The top and dungarees combination had a minions feel to it. Super cute. This was really pretty
Katie.... you should have a patreon, and you can let your patrons help you decide between themes, or cool designs, they can see blooper footage, etc. I think that'd be super cool!!
A tres leches soap that has layers would be so cool! A little brown or copper mica on top and strawberry inbeds would look so cool to me

I'm very much a novice and only dabble but would love to be able to make fab soaps. I'm addicted to watching all the videos, fascinating.
I love your soaps and your zainy energy 👍👍👍☺️☺️☺️☺️
I love that wood grain texture! You should use that same technique to make a bar of soap that looks like birch tree bark
This is the prettiest top I’ve ever seen.
this is the first time i have seen a soap that i want to eat. It looks like a Dessert!
So sparkly pretty :D it should be called ROYALTY SOATS!
Oh man this soap looks delicious! One of my favourite things to do with oats is make them Savoury! I cook them in vegetable stock then add stirfry veg and tofu on top, yum!

Yummy!! I like savory oats too! I'mma have to try that version. Usually I do some shredded cheddar and a soft fried egg. But stir fry sounds delicious
I really love seeing the “ behind the scenes moments “ it shows the real work that goes into the process.
You break it and you can hear the Heavens open 😍😍😍💛🌙
That top is soooo pretty. This bar is so satisfying with the swirls and food-like colors.
This soap is absolutely beautiful.
I had purchased my very first soap on the release date and I bought this one. It came today and I’m IN LOVE. I love watching your videos it makes me inspired. You have such talent to make beautiful soaps. Keep on living your dream because I will definitely be purchasing more in the future!
Nice job Katie, I love the gold on top of the loaf, so pretty.
This soap is STUNNING
Old fashioned oats..... The very best of all the oats 😍
I LOVE your soaps! They smell fabulous, feel great on the skin and one major problem is that they are so gorgeous my Mom refuses to use the ones I bought her. Lol

This is the first soap I've ordered from you. It just arrived today, and it's soooo sweet and smooth. My skin doesn't feel dry after using it like it would with other bar soap. I love it!
I love this one!!!!!! I have recently fallen down the rabbit hole that is royalty soaps, and I can't get enough!!!!!
This might be one of the prettiest soaps I've ever seen on this channel! Of course, that's largely a personal preference thing, but wow. Absolutely stunning!
I love baked oatmeal. It's a great way to meal prep breakfast.
“Goldfashioned oats”
That combines a concise description of the soap and a glorious unexpected pun, so well done!
Leah Groess thank you so much! haha
This really is my favorite name.
Hi Katie, I got my Aurora Dreams and Garnet Gemstone today and I just wanted to say how beautiful they are in real life! Also, can't wait to try this one. I had oat and honey hand soap in the bathroom my whole life growing up, so it will be a throwback!
I also love the scrappy scrappy
2:43 it's deeliyshishhh LOL
Girl this soap is perfect

This is one of my favourite type of soaps, I love the way you make soapmaking so fun and interesting xx
'Hip, hip'! for the queen of suds 👑👑☺️
Love love love it when you use the King Tut gold mica Katie👍💖May I have more , please!😅😏💖💖💖❣️
Watching you and Kenny make soap relaxes me! Thank you for sharing!
years ago I found an artisan soup that smelled like fresh cut lumber. It was my favorite and I never found it again. I would love to have something similar again, please try it sometime. Maybe a fathers day line, fresh cut grass, leather, coffee, cedar and fresh cut lumber!

My father does the same thing, but he pours freshly brewed coffee over the oats instead of boiling water.
Really pretty Katie, your loaf looks royal!
"It smells totally deliricious" I see your stream shoutout Kenny! 😂
some of those patterns in the soap looked like the storms on Jupiter!
My son has eczema all over his little body and oatmeal baths are a wonderful thing
My favorite is overnight cold oats. So creamy and yummy.
Hahaha, this is the third time I’ve watched this video! You are the best Katie!
This soap is SO GORGEOUS!!!!! I'm in love

I cant wait to order this. Have you ever thought of running workshops, I'd pay to fly to Texas and spend a week learning to make soap with you guys.
I always love watching your videos but this is the first time I've ever REAAAAAAALLY wanted your soap.
I love your more simple/natural-ish soaps! Love the high tops too 🤩
THIS IS THE SOAP IVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!!!
It truly has everything my heart wants. The solid bottom layer, the crisp mica line, the swirl, the embeds, and oat milk for my poor skin! It’s a masterpiece.
The gold being brown after saponification reminds me of swirling brown sugar into oats, when it melts with the butter and looks all amazing 😍
im so happy to see this channel coming up to 500k subscribers.... ive been here a while and i love seeing it grow
omg thats one of my best soap i am going to try and make this one , love yourself
Katie, You are a True Delight! Much like that soap will be for the skin⭐
Have a lovely weekend!
I used to watch your videos years ago. I missed them! So glad I remembered you!
I love overnight yoghurt and oatmeal with banana, cinnamon, and honey...I could eat that at any time, and everyday! But on a cold morning (or evening!), hob oats with brown sugar on top...drool...😋😘
That looks like a delicious caramel!!! Yummy!!!
I am a redeemed sinner! Cause all I eat are those flavored packets. Lovely soap! Wonderful job again.
I said, “So, without further ado, let’s make some soap,” with way too much excitement. 😆😂
i look forward to any and all of your videos
Hey! I’m really impressed that you made homemade oat milk for this video. Store bought oat milk has many stabilizers in it that keep it from thickening and gelatinizing once it gets hot. Love the soap and the callours
I just love these colors. That swirl is beautiful!
Got all my soaps from the last soap release last night. I'm gonna smell along with he videos later hahah
It looks like vanilla and butterscotch pudding with a caramel swirl and I'm hungry 😆
Just got my first shampoo bar in the mail! Can’t wait to try!
Such beautiful soap!
I love watching your videos. I found you channel a little while ago when it was recommended and just want to say you're amazing. I love that you support other creators and how genuine you are!

Thanks for the tip- I love oat milk!
My husband and daughter suffer from eczema as well and our Naturopath Doctor recommended eliminating wheat and gluten from their diets and it TOTALLY cleared up their eczema.
Thanks for your video, you make soap making seem easy.
Steel cut oats in the instant pot are the BEST
I love hot oatmeal cooked on the stove top! I add a splash of milk on top, maple syrup, walnuts, cinnamon and bananas. I could eat it all year round and I enjoy seasonal fruits too, yum!!
Glad you made some of this, I really wanna try it. I've also been watching rice milk soap videos, very similar to make.
So neat to see a little more into how your creativity process works. Really loving the cinematography and video editing on this one also😊
Watching this video as I wait for my lye water. Thanks Katie and Kenny for inspiring me to make soap!
I NEED this soap! Turned out gorgeous! 😍

That one turned out so beautiful! I love it! Thank you for showing what you do and being so fun and entertaining :)
