I miss my old friends like the 767-200 and the DC-10-30! 😅 Great video!! Also at 0:57 that’s an American Eagle ATR-72 flown by Executive a former AE subsidiary that went bankrupt in 2000 and now left Miami with some of the last AE services to the Caribbean. At their peak Executive flew to 27 Caribbean islands connecting their main San Juan Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 base to Miami and the greater AA network! What a tray to see it! I learned all about them from my AE pilot pal Swayne Martin!
Lotsa 767s! This was the aircraft's heyday. I believe I owned this title on VHS! Back then, it was the only way to satisfy my airliner footage lust! Those AA aircraft are fantastic in that immortally perfect livery!
Really enjoyed this one. Some obscure airlines and some old friends. Beautiful liveries on beautiful and classic aircraft. That runway-side footage was exhilarating. The MD-11 and L-1011 departures 🥹 And of course, the stunningly beautiful DC-10. Let me guess - all 737s and NEOs at this airport now? 😂
What some don’t know this was before santiago STI was built if you were going to Santiago you came here or Santo Domingo and caught a ride there some of the traffic now goes there

The AA 727 at 24:25 was absolutely stunning!
Some great Liveries here compared to the mainly boring and uninspired ones we see nowadays

There are also 767s too.
Great video classic plane spotting
Really nice planes, remind me my old days!
Man, so many planes i missed! That City Bird, MD 11, though!
change your video title, Puerto Plata airport appears only the 10 first minutes of the video and then you're changing to Punta Cana Airport.

14:30 Rolls-Royce Tay re-engined Boeing 727QF.
Love the L1011
These pilots really use to lift off smooth.
This is a mix of POP and PUJ. The huts are in PUJ and gates in POP.
3:44 LAUDA 767!!
So much memories...
What aircraft is that Iberworld with wingtip fence? A300 or A310 perhaps?
A310
This is just what whe need now at 2024
Waoo mirar el avión de JMC me trajo muchísimo recuerdo trabaje para ello un tiempo,, y quien seria que iria a Inglaterra 3 veces después de eso
Big planes from god knows which airlines in small airports in the caribbean. Those were the days.
All one has to do is look at a 10-20 year old video of airliners to see how difficult it is to turn a profit.
Britannia's livery was handsome
They didn’t even have jetways back then very busy
can you do Cancun Airport in 90s?
Unfortunately they can’t time travel to record planes back then :(
I used to work at the airport around time waoo
5:19
Hey, I didn't know they flew into Puerto Plata.
Wait is puerto.plata in the USA?
The great LTU Airlines
Punta Cana is, or was, a picturesque airport. I wonder if it still has those thatched huts. Goodness, a 747 landing there?!
