no really ive been to jamaica for a birthday, i spent atleast an entire day out and about, eating patties. they are flakey, almost like a pastry, i can never find a good recipe because everyone makes them so thick... i miss being in jamaica and being able to get the real thing, the frozen ones and the yt videos on how to make them never compare 😩😩

It’s crazy to me because I’ve been to a lot of countries and I’ve always been one to try different food experiences but even with people who live and breathe these different cultures, their are still so many that can’t agree on their own culture of food within their own country which I love because it keeps bringing me back for more!
"Tastee Patties" and "Juici Beef Patties" have the best patties in 🇯🇲 .. and they're not only on Mobay but all over in each parish..

Tbh most Jamaicans don't make their own patties. I've eaten about 2000+ (probably more if I'm being honest) patties in my life and I have never made one. You want a patty you just go to Juicy beef or Tastes it's nice to see a homemade version tho.
