That ignition pin you used was a constant 12v for my truck. 07 avalanche, i figured they'd be the same. But if anyone with an avalanche is looking for a switched 12v. I tapped the pink wire on the harness 4 blocks up from the bottom right. I want to say there were 3 wires on it pink brown and a stripped pink wire
you can do it but you have to buy a factory switch with the fog bottom and special harness I bought both 40 dollars the switch and 25 harness on amazon
I did the install with out relay and hard wiring, i just replace the lights switch and ran the wires from the fuse box. Everything is preinstalled on nnbs 07-13 silverado All u have to do is run the wires from the fuse box to the fog lights
Jorge Garcia C. Hey man that's what I'm about to do. I had already ordered and received this same kit, afterwards I saw the OEM kit which is more expensive so I'm now just ordering the OEM head/fog light switch. Like you said everything thing is basically wired from the switch harness to the fuse/relay box. So is the the trigger wire from the fog light harness the only wire to terminate on the underside of the block in the designated terminal and possibly ground out the harness ground?
Nope, all depends on your trim level. Since it wasn't already equipped with fog lights, there wasn't any wiring available, hence why we ran our own. You can also purchase a kit to install factory looking switches for a higher cost, but we did the cheaper method.
@@absolutely4151 on my 07 there's a push in button to raise or lower the brightness of the dome lights. The fog light switch is a small rocker switch just beneath the first switch I mentioned.
Huge help..in description where u have the Amazon info to get parts/harness..I don't see the info on the female wire from harness to light..iv been looking and can't find that one your using..thanks..
I have a 2015 Chevy Tahoe and am wondering if that "power" panel under the dash is similar? I am looking for a power source for the switch. Thank you in advance.
can't you run that white ignition "trigger" wire to the factory switch so you can bypass that cheap looking Walmart fog light on off switch..? I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to put fog lights in my 2011 Tahoe using the factory switch...
Provo Beast Audio Installation ..... yes that's what I am doing I am purchasing the upgraded fog light switch that is OEM but I like the way you wired it but I just wanted to use the OEM switch. By the way great video. Thanks
i saw where you found the "ignition"switch to tap into.can you tap into the low beam wire on you headlights as well?i did it for my.but it was for the cup holder and some "LED"strip lights i put around my dash.so at night they come on auto. but with a on/off switch like your using i could control my exterior lites(like fogs)
Check to see the amperage pull on your HID's. This was only a 30 amp relay with a 15 amp fuse, so as long as your HIDs don't pull that amount of current, you should be fine.
Hey craizy here's what I know, I tried to install LED's in my 07 Avvy, and there wasn't enough room between the rear of headlight assembly and the core support. The space behind was about a half inch too narrow. I have heard there are shallow mount LED's but I haven't been able to find them. Good luck.
nice work broi will give thumb up , but this is not the OEM way becuse wiring only will be engine side nothing to do inside car just change the old switch with one with fog light switch.

Just got pretty much the exact same kit for my Avalanche, but it was missing the installation instructions. Your video saved the day!

I got the same kit you have. Installing later today. Thanks again for the Great video 👍🏼
If I pick up a factory switch, is there a way to cut the cheap ON/OFF switch, strip the wires and tie into the Factory one
Can it be hooked up to the factory fog light button or do you have to use the external one?
you can do it but you have to buy a factory switch with the fog bottom and special harness I bought both 40 dollars the switch and 25 harness on amazon
ignition wire and the pin how many pin to connect you said 6 pin out there the very left u said how many pin to connect it?

@@elyepeson4920 I no longer have that model, I have the 2019 new silverado
But I guess is the same, it's been awhile since I worked on those models
Don't those vehicles come with fog lights already installed? Why do you have to run a new sets of wire and switch?
Nope, all depends on your trim level. Since it wasn't already equipped with fog lights, there wasn't any wiring available, hence why we ran our own. You can also purchase a kit to install factory looking switches for a higher cost, but we did the cheaper method.
My 2008 Tahoe doesn’t have it
My 2010 Tahoe has them but how do I turn them on lmao help 🤷🏼♀️

Just what i was looking for. thanks.great job 👍👍
can the blanks pop back in?
Why didn't you use the factory fog light switch?
Melvyn Penate .. I don’t believe the truck came with the factory fog lights or switch.
I’m sorry where did you get the fog light Kit from ?
Nice video 👍 help me with my sierra
Me myself. I just straight wire them so they come with the headlights
How, do you strip wires and tap into
You hook up the ignition wire for relay to the ignition wire relay for headlight.
Acc do you Connect to boat pins
can't you run that white ignition "trigger" wire to the factory switch so you can bypass that cheap looking Walmart fog light on off switch..? I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to put fog lights in my 2011 Tahoe using the factory switch...
Sure, if you feel confident enough to do some manual wiring. There are also kits to purchase the actual factory looking switch as well.
Provo Beast Audio Installation ..... yes that's what I am doing I am purchasing the upgraded fog light switch that is OEM but I like the way you wired it but I just wanted to use the OEM switch. By the way great video. Thanks

Where do i find that switcht and harness kit?
I can’t find the link to get the kit
All links are in the description of the video.
I followed the steps in this video and I’m not getting any power. What could it be?
Most likely the Relay not getting power. Use a multi meter to verify.
Can you put then link we're I can buy all the wiring harness
Parts we used are listed in the description. Just do a quick google to find the best place to purchase.
What if you just want to change the light bulb?💁🏽♂️
Access the rear of the light through the wheel well and the bulb unscrews from the light housing.
I get power in the button but when I turn it on I just hear a noise and they don’t turn on
Sounds like a wiring issue. Check your connections again.
Can i install lights on a 2007 work truck bumper?
I'm sure you can
How do the fog light hold in place? Bolts?
No bolts, it is held in with pressure clips.
Great video, very detailed !
How you connect to the ignition box?
use an "add-a-circuit"
Can u run HIDs on that wiring?
Check to see the amperage pull on your HID's. This was only a 30 amp relay with a 15 amp fuse, so as long as your HIDs don't pull that amount of current, you should be fine.
Would you do a video on installing HID headlights and fog lights on that truck, plz

damn i wish you would do a video just like this for a 07-13 chevy silverado
Marcus Lightfoot SMH it’s the same thing
Lolll really you kidding right
