Here in So cal we need them RWD. We get good weather all year long and with the right tire set up you’re golden. Awd is for Eastern climates but I prefer that RWD.

I have had both and they both come with pro and cons. RWD is much easier to maintain, put whatever wheels you want on it, less prone to braking/maintenance etc. However for speed it is so much harder to launch the RWD without spinning out. AWD is perfect for snow, wet and going full send at any track without spinning but you will face way more problems mechanical wise. Specially with the front control Axel s braking. You have to watch out for the tire diameter of tires and not messing your transfer case.

Always had rwd cars and love the feeling of them. With real power rwd needs work to put the power down. With 285 width indy500 it will spin rear wheels and leave skid marks at any speed below 50mph. With my drag pack it hooks and books now. Best 0-60 is 3.74 seconds on street.

also for thr awd q50s and q60s, if you get it awd, it is rwd biased, meaning its awd upto 18mph, after 18cits rwd. you can make the awd to rwd, just a disclaimer, im not reponsivle what u do to your car, and awd syserror and msybe master warning will appear. anyways, go into your trunk. on left side, peel the trunk liner a litte and u will see a wire. while car is off. disconnect it. it will disengage the front drive shaft and thats how u can keep it rwd from the start. and ofc to get it back to awd. just plug it back in

imo grab an awd, and u can make it rwd, just go into ur trunk, pull back left side liner and u will see a connector. disconnect it when car is off and it wont engage the front drive shaft so u can make it rwd. though u will get awd sys error and master warning light, but it goes away when u plug it back in of course when car is off

@@885.0ELopez stock q50 rwd vs stock q50 awd is about dead nuts at qtr mile.. Awd gets up quicker, rwd gets it back in the end. Really comes down to driver mod.. Weight is irrelevant at start as while rwd is slipping awd is gripping.. Weight may be a contributing factor as to why the rwd catches up down track
