The HR team had to bring him in for that, they are talking about a possible suspension, it’s in Hoonigan’s employment contract when asked to hoon you *must* say yes
On looks alone, it's a 10! Completely overpowering those street tires, but tuning will only result in better and better performance. Congrats on such a radical build working as well as it does out of the box.

Back during the lockdown when Hoonigan was going live every couple of days i asked Hert one time why they don't do colabs with Donut media and he basically said they are the competition. they are very careful with Donut media. that's why we never hear or see Ryan Turk or Chris Forsberg even though they are all friends and sometimes we see the drift Altima in some episodes.

I love that they keep it subtle with the references instead of being absolutely at war with each other. both donut and hoonigan and close to my heart as they help my navigate the car world even today and I'm glad to see that both are doing so well in their field
went well for a first round on the track, sounds amazing and looks like it has decently balanced handling, i feel like the wing in the back should be higher up to really get the most downforce out of it, and this thing deserves at least a carbon roof, would be cool to see this thing with some slicks or some really sticky rubber

@@Modna89 yeah it could be a little higher, but in the bed of trucks a low pressure zone is formed behind the rear glass so I guess it's channeling a little air if nothing else
that rear wing is doing nothing.... apparently they want to racing the hoonipig, or what ever its called, and that has a design aero package. This basic test says that with increased speed the balance shift forwards. The only way to fix this is to make the rear wing much wider, as wide as possible. Compared to an actual racecar with aero this thing will be remarkably slow, in this configuration.
I was getting caught up on this build and learned Ken had passed away. When Suppy was talking about seeing it go up a hill and the flash of 43 made me sad. I'm sad I'll never be able to see Ken drive this monster. I'm sure he's driving vehicles we have never even dreamed of where he's at. Rest in peace Ken.

Great build with tons of potential, I think the tires were a huge oversight even at this first testing point, they should of started with some more advanced tires for this type of build like Proxes R888, so they could evaluate the performance of the build and not constantly making adjustments because of poor grip

Vortices generated by the cab are going to have exhaust gasses swirling right into the intake. Get those pipes out of the vacuum. That suspension geometry is wild. Great work.
Its great to see the respect Honda vtec engines finally deserve. I remember any car guys about 20 years ago laughing at hatchbacks. ( 92 hatch with a JDM GSR block with JDM b16a head with type r pistons my weapon of choice) laughing at you wanting to race at every light. The look on the people's faces cracking VTEC to 120 MPH like nothing. Now people look at those absolutly different, With repect not wanting to be embaressed. People dont relize most every performance car out 4 banger to v8 have their own version of VTEC. HONDA 4 LIFE One of tHe coolest things ever seen at SEMA. Honestly Sema gets old after 3 or 4 times. HOONIGAN made it really fun this year. Thanks guys have fun trying to top this build. Cant wait for the next one. Thanks

Seriously thinking the lack of windows might even be hindering it low-speed, just a hunch. Love the build, I was actually doubting it at first and was thinking of things that motor could go in and now I can't think of anything else other than an f1 car or an s2k but that may have been too heavy. Whispers to self *an f1 swap s2k would be insane*
Right now the wing is nowhere in the air stream even an idiot like me can see that.They got to raise it 2 or 3 feet.The problem with that is the "leverage" length may put too much force at the mounting point.
Don't get me wrong I love watching Hoonigans big builds but Coalmaro never went land speed racing, Scotto's Donk hasn't been on a drag strip and still needs finished, and the Warthog never hit any 4x4 trails. I know a lot of time and money goes into these projects so making time to film using them is hard but it would really round out the build series nicely. I didn't have to creative mind to see the Indytruck when you started and I was pretty skeptical but this has blown me away. When the Indycar engine was announced with a Honda partnership I was hoping to see a mid-engine Honda IndyVan with an Odyssey shell, sort of a Honda counterpart to the Ford Supervan, but this turned out amazing.
I think it might need a lower undertray that matches up to the front splitter and rear diffuser. That may make the indy car rear suspension be more at home with the car as that is what gives a-lot of the downforce, more so than the giant wing in back. It also might be why the front had decent compliance but the rear was way too stiff. You can even use plastic sign material to test out venting, and wood is a good sacrificial piece for if you decide to make it permanent in a carbon piece or something.
This build is amazing. I don't believe that I've ever seen anything that compares to it. There's nothing that sounds like an Indy, totally unique. That's exactly what I'm wondering though, what was the initial idea or plan for this vehicle? It almost looks as if it could be a hill climber or something. Doesn't really matter, it's cooler than just about anything I've ever seen. Congrats on a very top notch build, and I don't think you get enough credit for how quickly this all happened, especially in relation to all the other great stuff recently accomplished.
Possibly the coolest Honda Ridgeline that will ever exist. I’d love to see an aerodynamic mini trailer with some down force and the ability to tow 1000lbs cargo with a good lap time.

acclimation happens when you live somewhere for a while. of course we get cold easier than people who live in a colder climate
