      that rear wing is doing nothing.... apparently they want to racing the hoonipig, or what ever its called, and that has a design aero package. This basic test says that with increased speed the balance shift forwards. The only way to fix this is to make the rear wing much wider, as wide as possible. Compared to an actual racecar with aero this thing will be remarkably slow, in this configuration.

    • @Outland9000

    amazing build, bravo gents. question, how effective is the rear wing mounted below the cab? is the wing in the airflow over the cab?

      @tedzehnder961 Год назад

      Right now the wing is nowhere in the air stream even an idiot like me can see that.They got to raise it 2 or 3 feet.The problem with that is the "leverage" length may put too much force at the mounting point.

    Don't get me wrong I love watching Hoonigans big builds but Coalmaro never went land speed racing, Scotto's Donk hasn't been on a drag strip and still needs finished, and the Warthog never hit any 4x4 trails. I know a lot of time and money goes into these projects so making time to film using them is hard but it would really round out the build series nicely. I didn't have to creative mind to see the Indytruck when you started and I was pretty skeptical but this has blown me away. When the Indycar engine was announced with a Honda partnership I was hoping to see a mid-engine Honda IndyVan with an Odyssey shell, sort of a Honda counterpart to the Ford Supervan, but this turned out amazing.

    I think it might need a lower undertray that matches up to the front splitter and rear diffuser. That may make the indy car rear suspension be more at home with the car as that is what gives a-lot of the downforce, more so than the giant wing in back. It also might be why the front had decent compliance but the rear was way too stiff. You can even use plastic sign material to test out venting, and wood is a good sacrificial piece for if you decide to make it permanent in a carbon piece or something.

    This build is amazing. I don't believe that I've ever seen anything that compares to it. There's nothing that sounds like an Indy, totally unique. That's exactly what I'm wondering though, what was the initial idea or plan for this vehicle? It almost looks as if it could be a hill climber or something. Doesn't really matter, it's cooler than just about anything I've ever seen. Congrats on a very top notch build, and I don't think you get enough credit for how quickly this all happened, especially in relation to all the other great stuff recently accomplished.

    Possibly the coolest Honda Ridgeline that will ever exist. I’d love to see an aerodynamic mini trailer with some down force and the ability to tow 1000lbs cargo with a good lap time.
