I'm thankful most of the hotels I've booked recently have had speaker strobes or low frequency sounders in them instead. I fear my luck will come to an end eventually. Then I'll end up with a spectralert in my room.
@@Ironfist528We have EST Genesis alarms at my school. I do not look forward to having fire drills because they are ridiculously loud. We only have the strobes in the classrooms. But they are so loud in the hallway.
Exactly the reason why we need voice evacuation to be standard if people are confused and have to ask if its a fire alarm even though its clearly standard code 3.
A hotel I stayed at in Maple Grove MN last summer has white EST Genesis horn/strobes. Even the individual rooms have them both above the bed and in the bathroom. Pubic Restrooms in the lobby have them in there as well. Wouldn't a strobe be enough for Bathrooms/Restrooms?
I think the horns are actually disabled. Because there are classrooms that have the horn/strobes in my school and the horn is disabled. It's also an EST Genesis
At 3:37 you muted the audio. Was that because of the music playing might appear as a copyright claim on the video? Btw that was Bad Blood by Taylor Swift.
It was most likely to be a small kid that has pulled it on accident not knowing the consiquences ect. It's actually illegal to pull a fire alarm for no reason
Atleast you're not the guy who would scream down the stairs screaming "Fire Fire Fire Fire." Like that one dude in another video filming an elevator when the fire alarm went off. Idk if you know what I'm referencing to or not.
Most of the buildings on my college campus have the Simplex 9425 with the siren voice evac but some buildings like our student center, a dining hall and the residence hall across from it have Simplex 9150 and our English building has Simplex 9255s, however 5 of the residence halls on campus have the EST Genesis Alarms in this video. Next fall I am living on campus and my residence hall has these alarms and i'm sure i'll get to experience the fun of these going off in the middle of the night😫😫😫 One of the other residence halls that has these alarms has had 20 fire alarm incidents this past fall semester one of which was caused a student melting a pull station with a cigarette lighter. Just the stupidity of some college kids🤦🏻♂
@@aidanthetoiletelevatorfire7554I don't even know. Not louder than a fire alarm. You could use the EST Genesis in a big gym or auditorium. Possibly an event stadium.
I wish your ears a speedy recovery, my friend. I always get a little nervous around horn-strobes especially when in a quiet area or enclosed space.

@elevcarwashsirensandmore21 I'd take an est genesis over a spectralert advance at a Hotel room any day now tbh.
Yeah they spook me every time when they go off especially when it’s silent
To you, the person who pulled the fire alarm, you just committed an ILLEGAL act right there.
The elevator guys anf the fire alarms are connected💀
Funny enough, in the State of Texas, a false fire alarm is a State Jail Felony (as of this comment and to my knowledge, laws are subject to change).

@elevcarwashsirensandmore21 at 1:43 left side why is it blacked out?
The building where I work has these alarms as well as Integrity horn and remote strobes and a Wheelock RSS. Pulls are 270-SPO’s on an EST2.
Nice
EST Genesis G1R-HDVM. My high school has those, and they are loud but much louder in the gymnasium.
@@johndeerefan725 that's probably because there's a lot more in the gymnasium. The more alarms there are, the louder it is

That actually is a very fitting song for the situation lol. It's what you sang to the person who falsely activated the alarm.
I yelled "Why am I shaking". So that's why that was muted. I'm not sure what songs Taylor Swift actually sings.

@JulesMauuary-Maetz I think it was pulled in the lobby. I didn't look through every single hallway so I'm not sure where it was pulled.
Oh. The Est genesis. I personally hate those. Rather, have a space age Av 32 and a spectra alert advance
I want the spectralert advance. But fire alarms are a lot of money.
Those are edwards est gennis fire alarms. so the hotel most likley had a edwards est control pannel.
