Hi Nic Greetings from the us i have been enjoying your videos it seems you were able to accomplish many things i would have hoped to accomplish but never had the opportunity to do so my question to you is it seems here in the US some new codes require natural gas alarm s my question to you is this usually has a short cord or the alternative may be a more expensive size alarm since the alarm need to be mounted about 12 inches from the we ceiling my question to you is should it be easy for someone who know what they are doing to install an electrical outlet high on the wall so that I can plug in my natural gas alarm with short cord?

Great video Nic each year I tune in to this channel because it is the best new years countdown out there. I have been watching this channel for 3 years now and the glorious days of pickle 700! This youtube channel will forever have a place in my heart as I'm a nerd and it is a corner of youtube that has the content that I watch and that I feel welcome. (plus you should make some more vids on that DSC alarm system) But Anyways, BRING ON 2025!!
Tip: Bells are much louder when they are mounted upright. That way the strikers can impact the gongs at full strength. Also make sure there is absolutely no touching of the gongs to any other objects. With that said, still incredibly loud and well done!! Happy New Year!!

Happy new year!!!! This was awsome and i would have probable crapped my pants if that went off close to me, Ace job nic! and happy 2025. In the UK we had sophie ellis bextor doing a concert on live TV around the london fire works. Just thaught i would keep you updated on what happened in the UK :)
I djed at a venue on new years eve in vancouver and at around 10 pm the fire allarm went off from the smokies photoelectric sensors. It was casused by the smoke mashine. But right after the fire department left i heard beeping when i was walking around and i look at the fire panel and it says pre-allarm. Sure enough the stage technician turned off the amoke machine just for a quick moment but because the building ventelation system was off the allarm went off again causing the fire department to come back. The funniest part was when the band was playing and the firefighters just walked on stage in full gear one of them carrying a fire axe. They even gave stickers to the kids
You didn't have that Edwards AC vibrating horn from last year. If you had that again you would have beat last year for sure as that one horn stood out really well. (Also I would recommend setting the L-series stuff on continuous because some dB meters average out the sound in between code-3 pulses)
2024 was a crazy year between you and I because we both graduated 12, and looked for jobs. I think most of these bells were from the "hard of hearing school" if you know what I'm talking about. Great video. Edit: Oh you already mentioned where the bells came from lol.

Next year you should set off several horn strobesm and I MEAN A LOT and see what you get in db there
Try 100 Spectralert Advances and Wheelock MTs and then you'll definitely be at 130 dB.
