Love looking at old episodes, police officers in white shirts and clip on ties, brick mobile phones, old digital camera and older cars all being smaller than todays SUVs and VHS tape😂😂
I love the hard done by faces of older people who are a bit shocked the rules have changed from what they grew up with, like, 'what do you mean we can't nap on the motorway? Never would’ve been pulled for this in the 80s!' And the fact the man tried to give the police cash 😂
Seems a bit harsh if he is feeling sleepy and uses the hard shoulder. Not best place agreed but surely should’ve got away with no fine and told to move to a safer place. Otherwise next time he might try carrying on and fall asleep whilst driving
I am shocked from the first case no license no insurance full of alcohol just wonderful and easily so casual driving around....We need stronger punishment.
My thoughts are the criminals came back to take the Rover as well. An immediate follow up on the registered addresses (of the suspected vehicles) would have made sure of that option.
Being hit from behind would put them to sleep permenantly.that's why it's illegal. Eating too much is not an emergency, If that man wasn't so obese from overeating he'd be fit enough to drive.
@@andyelliott8027 so you would rather he fell asleep drive and possibly take out more drivers? someone has to be driving improperly themselves or already crashing to hit them on the hard shoulder
@ It's not what "I would rather", that is completely irrelevant, it's illegal and therefore you can't stop there. Being a fat slob with no energy does not entitle you to stop, obesity is not an emergency, it's a choice. 80 cars per year get vehicles ploughing into the back of them while they're stopped on the hard shoulder. I raced cars when I was in my twenties, I know what crashes feel like and unless you've experienced it you can't imagine how violent it is.
Hello my name is Kyle from Australia i though the lights on the police cars in United Kingdom were just blue not blue and red like in Australia thankyou for takeing the the time to answer my question.
Surely they could have pulled into a service station?. It's dangerous but not quite as dangerous as falling asleep at the wheel I suppose. If he'd fallen asleep at the wheel he could have caused a massive multi vehicle pile up.
Hm,, those 2 cars they stopped at the services. Sounded like Irish travellers,, a caravan missing,, a big 4x4 and 2 cars driving around together. Yeah, I certainly understand why the copper smelled a rat. Most criminal group in the UK by a massive margin.
Travellers all nationalities. When I lived in NE, they travelled up to Co Durham, across Pennines to Appleby Fair. Unlicensed vehicles, unsafe, no insurance and thieves all the way. Police never touched them. They are menacing. 😢😢😢

Well the stolen caravan would have been sitting in some Gippo site, Irish Gippos would steal the sugar out of your tea and then come back the next day for the milk.
I've absolutely 0% sympathy for anyone whom stays in their vehicle on the hard shoulder.. Let alone falling asleep. Next time you're on the motorway have a good look at hgv's in the 1st lane, see how many drift across the white line onto the hard shoulder - it's alarming.. Yes other vehicles drift too but being hit by a hgv is certain death.. I'm almost angry and how stupid you have to be and not even realise the risks
So what happens when there's no hard shoulder! A simple common sense lesson would suffice. Taking their money with no education for such mindless idiots is disgusting policing.
If they haven't developed common sense by their age, they probably never will. As regards education, that's what driving lessons/tests and the highway code are about. What they did was illegal and extremely dangerous. Letting them off would probably just have encouraged them to think it was no big deal. The police acted responsibly by enforcing the law and they may have saved this couple's life.
£30 for kip 😂😂😂 that cop was just being petty, I'd prefer they'd pullover for 5 minutes than risk falling asleep at the wheel British cops really are ridiculous
@ It's annoying how the end slate is cropped out of many of these eps. The one with the roman numerals where the copyright bit is and tells you what year it was made.
30 pound fine for pulling over to avoid falling asleep at the wheel. I consider myself blessed that I'm not thick enough to be a copper. I've met some stupid ones in my 50+ years on the road but these two take the biscuit.
It's illegal to stop on the hard shoulder except in very limited circumstances, which don't include having a break or a nap. It's also extremely dangerous. The police acted correctly...and maybe saved this couple's life.
The thing that makes me laugh about these videos, they are so out of date. If they did this now, it would be a bunch of diverse people sitting in an office looking for slightly upsetting tweets. The police force in the UK is a joke.
