Dude nick this is a sweet video!😎👍 love the scenery and its nice to get educated on not just the fishing spots but more places to visit around the area. Jus remeber people , always pick up your own trash , its sad to see good fishing spots being trashed.
Great vid brother. Wife and I moved here last year for PA school. Galveston has so much more to it than just being brown sea water and old buildings. We enjoy residing here, and I love fishing out here. Texans need to appreciate it more in my opinion. Lol
Welcome to TEXAS! I can vouch to really appreciate Tx coming from the panhandle up north from Amarillo Tx to now to East Tx. In which, closer to the beach for the past years! Yeah, us Texans are VERY proud of our beloved Lone Star State! 😁
Hector Coria I never thought I’d marry a Texan, but I did! I moved here to Tx after my stint in the Army 10 years ago. I should have moved here sooner! Love it here!
@@jmc224 I hope that you will live many more years here in Texas! And CONGRATULATIONS on your Texan Cowgirl Lady! You ought to visit Amarillo where I'm from during the spring summer time and goto the Grand Canyon to watch the play "Texas" on this outdoor Coliseum. It is awesome and the Canyon is beautiful! Anyways, take care and keep safe!
Galveston's prevailing breeze is southeast--that wind pushes the emerald green water to the beach. Southwest is the worst--that's when it all turns to chocolate milk. Unfortunately, for about the last 10 years we have not gotten our prevailing breeze very much.
Who in the hell could even think about giving your video, or videos, a thumbs down, bro? It's gotta be fishing competition or someone who wants to distract your viewers towards their crap. Ha ha... I just had to attack anyone thumbing down your videos, brother. You're a great guy who presents us viewers awesome fishing videos! Thanks Nick and please keep 'em coming! #Hook'Em
I guarantee majority of the haters are the tournament anglers. these guys thumbs down cause no one knows who they are but everyone knows RX and the noise he’s been making in Texas. they get jealous RX gets sponsors, makes money and gets recognized and he’s going places and those dudes just wanting to be in his shoes lololololol
RX gotta say you’ve come along way from your newbie walk in wading videos. Way to pay homage to the beautiful city of Galveston. It’s a great place to visit and you did great showing that in your video. 2 thumbs 👍👍 up. Keep them videos coming and be safe out there.
I love fishing !! definitely on my travel list. My RUclips travel videos are before the virus in Thailand. Hope things go back to normal soon. Can’t wait to get back out there and make more videos.
Awesome video. The island really is a cool place with something for everyone. Covid may have made things a little harder to do but going to see and hear the surf is still worth it.
Great intro to your vid. You put a lot of miles on the toyota as well as the shoes for this one. One place that is often overlooked is the Railroad museum. Very interesting, but not much fun in the heat of summer, since there is no AC in the railroad cars.
Agreed! it was a cool place then, even if a little run down at the end, but good memories. I don't care for the changes Fertita has made to Kehma & Galveston...just about $$$ now, but a lot of people enjoy them. So, progress? what can you do..me, I'm just an old timer & favor the way it used to be.
Love this video about Galveston! I plan on moving there within 5 years! I have ordered my old town 106 powered by minn Kota. Also plan on getting the battery from amped with your promotion!
If you give up fishing, you may have a new career in editing. Absolutely great introduction both film wise and commentary. A bit of emotion appeared to go into your intro words and it's a pleasant change to see an individual that not only admires their home grounds but respects them as well. Absolutely fantastic job and your editing skills have come a very long way.
Love these videos man! Don't get me wrong I love fishing before anything else but it's cool to see some of the footage of Texas places even if i've been to all of em because you'll drop some nuggets of info that i didn't know about.
The angel and tinman sculptures are just a block from my house. Not sure if you took the pics or got them online but would have been cool to meet you. Keep up the good work. Wow the tides have been high last couple of days. Boddeker drive was covered in water by the lagoon. Any chance you might fish the lagoon any time? Back in the 70's and 80's a lot of big trout were pulled out of there in the early spring. Heard of an 8 pounder one time.
Excellent video Nick! Just a minor correction...you called the submarine at Seawolf Park the USS Seawolf....actually she is the USS Cavalla...on her very first combat patrol in August 3rd, 1944 this boat skippered by Lt. Cdr. Herman J. Kossler, sunk the Japanese aircraft carrier Shokaku with three torpedoes during the Battle of the Marianas (same time as the “Marianas Turkey Shoot” was happening overhead in the air) sorry to nit-pick your really superb overview of Galveston, but I’m a military history buff. The Galveston Chamber of Commerce -and Galveston Tourist Bureau should hire you...Love your fishing videos! Keep up the good work!
Born and raised myself they are beautiful not many beaches left you can camp on except here I spend multiple days camping on them some days good some days brown water full of 35+ inch bull reds I'll take it anyday sure can travel and find whatever but for 1.5 he drive great bang for your buck
Hi nick. Great vid as always. What is the braid yhat u buy off of digitaka? Also. I went to anglers anonymous and got to handle yhe old 18 rod. LUVED THEM!! it was so light. I love my laguna but im sold on my next rod to b old 18. Do they do custom rods like Sargeant and Laguna? Id like to get a light fast action but have them cut the handle shorter so it doesnt hit my gut. Thx for the response!!
Awesome video RXA, great production quality. Keep the content coming. What area were you fishing when you caught that monster red? What a beautiful fish.
Nice travelogue with some great fishing thrown in. One small criticism, sometimes the shots were a little too short before switching to another view. All in all a good job.
Used to be a Golden Croaker run twice a year & w/no limit on size or #s, you could fill a cooler w/them, they were so abundant. Dead strip on the bottom was all you needed as they are not finicky. But doing the 80s there were several severe winter freezes that decimated the population & they have not recovered. Environmental changes have contributed to the slow recovery & they may never come back to their previous #s. Sad but it was fun & tasty while it lasted.
Great video! Love your tips. I have been fishing for a little bit, my wife says I just feed the fish, lol. If possible would like to meet up & fish with you. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.
I fished everywhere from Montauk to Coronado island n in all the gulf coast states. The ugliest place is Galveston lol. It's only a tourist spot to Texans n no one else. The vlog is comical. Travel brothers. Go to other saltwater fishing channels n u will see if u r not catching fish u will still enjoy your time outdoors anyway...but not in Galveston. To be blunt it's a shit hole of a place.
Outstanding video. Love your videos and kayak fishing. Tillman would be proud of your promotion of Galveston.
Dang, your videos just keep getting better and better. Love your travel series. Keep up the good work.
Love the intro!! Wow just wow!

Great video! Had something for everyone.
Great job on the video Nick. Loving these informative but still entertaining videos. Keep grinding brother.
Liked it better when the hotel was on the pier. It was cool having a room right above the ocean.

Beautiful area, nice video. Croakers that size are perfect bait for the big 36-40+ inch snook in S. Florida.
Great video!

RX Angler did you ever fish at the end of pleasure pier ? I hear there are tons of fish over there and can you do a video of that area ?
I used to fish & stay there when it was the Flagship Hotel. Do they allow fishing off the end?
🔥🔥🔥
Great video thanks for sharing . How did you decide to become a RUclips fisherman???
