    Now that you’ve got mini skidi 2.0, you should do a whole series of mini construction equipment! How about a mini excavator?

    Finally someone is not just making more of those 3D figurines, impressive as they might be, they do get old.
    THIS kind of 3D printing, combined with cad drawing and RC electronics, is just so freaking cool, it should be available in any Toy/RC/hobby-store globally 🙂

    Would love to see more construction equipment! Maybe a dumptruck or a dozer
    Would like to see these in V3
    A quick disconnect from your servo on bucket so various attachments can be used, forks for pallets, a stump grinder, auger, etc.
    It would than be helpful to use a servo wire extender and make a permanent servo connection point at the end of the lift arms for the second servo where the current wires come out. This could than be useful when switching implements so disassembly isn't required to rewire things.
    Love this project cant wait to see what else your cooking up!

    • @banditboy1
      @banditboy1 Год назад +1

      Building onto the quick disconnect, correct me if I’m wrong, but couldn’t you just add a magnetic connector so that if you had the bucket disconnected you could just back away from it and it would disconnect?

    When I heard you say your doing a give away for 3000 subscribers I thought I misheard you because this content is just as good as big creators like RCtestflight and the editing of the video is amazing.you deserve way more. also you should make a dump truck with work dumper so you could use the mini skiddi to pick up sand and pour it into the dump truck and it could drive away

    Just need to add some ballast to the bottom/back of the Mini Skiddy to get more lifting power out of it! Very cool video, glad I clicked on it. Awesome to see you so excited about projects like this.
    As for a future robotics project, I think it would be neat to follow the theme a bit and do more construction equipment, but with the twist of making some of the very early cable driven heavy equipment, like an old steam shovel, just to mix it up a little! Can't wait to see what you end up making. Keep it up!

    a forklift attachment for the skid steer would be awesome... it would probably be a good idea to add some ballast to the bottom inside of the chassis... like tungsten slugs... or a way to add plates to the back of the skid-steer... you wouldn't have to take the arm all the way back to do your wheelies... and if you make the weight attachment modular, you could adjust on the fly.
    As for a different robot project, a mini version of the 5 armed display bot that BattleBots uses for the giant nut display would be really cool.

  • @thinkdunson
    @thinkdunson Год назад +1

    as an upgrade for the claw servo, you could use a double shaft servo. then you could have a connecting arm on both sides to make the grip a bit stronger and more evenly distributed.
    putting the connecting arm pivot point farther away from the hinge would further reduce slop in the movement.
    real skid steers have weight added to the back of the body to make them more stable when lifting heavier objects.

    • @conorstewart2214

Not sure if autonomous vehicles are your thing, but with your skills you could make a really cool little desk pet that is maybe solar powered and seeks out light to charge itself. Also I used to have an RC forklift and it was loads of fun to play with and this project brings back memories of that fun time. Looking forward to your next upgrade/project.

Maybe like a 3D crane with cables to like lift the skidsteer onto a lego building top. Would be really cool a downscaled crane with 3D parts and small electronics. Also because a crane is bigger than the skid, you can easy fit multiple strong servo`s and other tech to make it work and performe with power. All the best for upcoming projects ! Good channel
