Great Video! I can't wait to start printing all your rc projects! I would also love to see a capable forklift design. But for the crane I would love to see a model like the Liebherr LTM 1200.
This is fantastic I was looking for something that I could do for my son to understand what I do haha, as someone that builds roads for a living I would say you need: * Grader * Roller (multiple types) * Hammer attachment for the excavator * Franna (mobile crane) Keep up the good work. Cheers
What a great model! thank you so much! I ended up making my own PCB from a perf board to get up and running quicker. ended up using some 18650 I had already and a BMS for max run time haha. My 3 Years old is loving it so far. One change I made to the code was to initialize the Trim with -6 (3 clicks left) and I also have the trim buttons being disabled 30 seconds after boot. My son kept hitting the bummers on the xbox controller on accident which would eventually jam the servo and burn it out, went through 2 servos but since the change the replacement servo has been running strong. The PCB for the excavator comes today which is all I need to get it going, currently printing the trailer. Thanks again!
I’m so happy to hear you’re enjoying the models! Also sounds like you’ve made some improvements for your situation which is awesome! I hope the excavator build goes smoothly and that you(and your 3 year old) enjoy it as well.
A thought for optimizing the printing topology, making the 'lip' of the dump bed a separate piece, would cut out the need for almost all support structures there, as well as remove the need for the weird tilt on an A1 or similar bed sizes.
Awesome build! Your alterations on every move you make are really thoughtful and creative. Probably very complicated but this is my favorite lg1750 liebherr, because it builds the windmills.
That's a huge improvement in performance, nice! One thing I'd like to see is some space dedicated to installing a camera module, since those ESP32s can be used to build FPV models (I've done something like that with a 1/50th scale toy RC car and it's been more fun to FPV it around the house than I'd originally thought). I can imagine your models being a lot more fun in FPV than a simple racer.
Love the new build, I recently built the RC excavator and it works great. The only thing I did not like in the entire build were the screws, these 2.6 screws were a pain to source in my country and they fell out multiple times, maybe the one I received were not the correct size and they were inconsistent, it would be great if your builds use standard M3 or M2 screws with M3/M2 heat inserts, they work really well with 3D printed parts and are easily available even locally.
@@professorboots I just made a miniskidi. And I used M3 screws and heatset inserts practically everywhere (thanks for the step files). It's an easy mod and absolutely worth the extra time.
If burning up the track motors becomes a problem, you might consider adding a sensor of some sort, be it an encoder on the motor itself or a current sensor on the motor output, to detect stalls and cut or reduce motor power. Alternatively you might stick thermistors on the motors and detect an overheat instead. Nice to to see the dump truck scaled up!
Definitely one of the 4 wheel - 4 wheel drive & 4 wheel steer cranes with a telescoping boom. A Rough Terrain Crane - google it I'm telling you they're pretty sweet. Especially for outdoors fun, like u realized is so much fun with the upgraded MiniDump & that sweet Excavator u designed. Could even do a deviation in the build process to allow for it to be made into a telescoping forklift iteration instead of a crane. Heck I'd make one of each, that's what I'd do. Potentially increasing ur circuit board & other parts sales for you to boot, Professor Boots.
Love how creative you are, I'm not sure what designs are available, but the one from terminator 3 would be good, and could maybe support wrecking ball attachment.. 😊
"öaf 19.403 hk ad" ein Lkw mit Kipp Funktion und Heckkran. Der Kran hat diverse Aufsätze wie hacken, erdgreifer und weitere. War ein riesen spaß den zu fahren und wäre cool diesen spaß auch weiterhin halt im kleinen haben zu können.
AMAZING VIDEO!! I am so inspired, but there are two questions that i still have, what is the difficulty in making them(skidsteer, dumptruck and excavator) and what is the total or individual price for the electronics?😁
They range in terms of difficulty, with the skid steer and dump truck being pretty easy. The excavator is a little harder because there’s sooo many moving parts. Cost also varies depending on where you get your parts for example if you order everything on Amazon it could be up to 100$ versus ordering some stuff through aliexpress which could bring it down to 40-50$
The interesting part about scaling the dump truck is that IRL most of those trucks have electric motors in each wheel. I'm surprised you didn't just do that for the rear wheels after putting motors in the front wheels.
Hey your such an inspiration! I have been getting into robotics, electronics and 3d printing, do you have any tips to how I can learn the type of stuff you do? Thanks!
I just went through and watched your excavator video as well as this one, epic stuff! I'm excited to print and build both of these models. One question though, how much does it cost to buy all the different motors and wiriing (excluding the ps3 controller as I already have that)? I'm planning on paying for the workshop membership to put it together but want to wait until I have the models printed.
Hey, I love it, and I thing I will made it, but how color of filament did you use? I thing it's bambu labs filament, but I don't know which exact color it is
Could you make a Liebherr LR13000 crane, with counterweights at the back and a working articulating arm? Maybe it could use string to operate the arm so that all of the motors could be mounted lower for a low center of gravity?
hey mate just making a suggestion to increase how well it drives maybe if you make it into a swivel chassis or have one of the axles on a hinge like a tractor it would be able to articulate over small bumps

You’re making a crane! Lets gooooooooooooooo
Make a large mobile crane or a tracked version.

Most definitively, I check back quite regularly.
Let’s get a telescoping crane!!! Love the series.
I’ll add it to the list!
Definitely! I'm voting for a Rough Terrain Crane.

a telescoping crawler crane would be sick, you could even use existing parts from the excavator project to make it simpler

liebherr ltm 1200!!!
I saw one of these in person as a kid they are just as cool as you would think. And I was the same Hight as one of the wheels.
Automating it to collect poop and then take to a “dump site” would be hilarious and awesome

Thanks for doing these projects and videos! I bought the mini skidi kit and it is fantastic!
This is fantastic. Videos that inspire me to do things, learn things, are always the best. Thank you for sharing.
Of course, I’m glad you enjoyed the video!
While not technically a crane you should build a sky crane helicopter. It would be really cool to see how you do that
