    FWI, I'm a Cloud Pro II owner and it works perfectly with Lightburn. The "Cloud" is a free option that offers free optimized projects out of the box. There is an offline software package that's pretty good as well. Lightburn woks perfectly for me. All of the reviews I watch and forum post I read, recommended going straight to Lightburn. As far as the Z focus adjustment, Lightburn remembers it, so I just hit the down arrow to move there, right before framing, the same as with the Omtech Polar.

    Any video on laser cutter/engravers had a Xtool ad for them!

    I have pre-ordered a P2 now, because I like the advanced features and hope they will work as advertised. But looking at the Hexa, they should probably stop advertising it as the "world's most powerful" desktop laser machine :-).

    Hey mr forged I just bought the P2 just came in today. 5-16-24. What are your thoughts on this unit. Its to late I already have it but I really like all the you tube videos. Thats how I found you again as I was a Atezr guy but been on the Bambu 3D printers the last 10 months. But I am back!

      Seems good to me! Since I am a Lighburn guy, it may bother me if features are missing on it vice XCS. That is why I did not keep the S1.

    As usual, good vid. Aurora Tech reviewed the xTool P2 and the conveyor extension was not available and the software for curved surfaces not yet available. Once they fix those issues, the P2 is a winner. Flux Hexa is a sweet machine, but without lightburn - no thanks.

      Both those issues have been available. The auto feeder has already been shown in use by several beta testers & the curved engraving has been shown by xTool & now shown by beta testers 😏

    Add the controller on the Omtech then voids your warranty, etc. not useful for new users. So how to recommend that?

    • @ValleyForged

      Well, it didn't void the warranty for the two videos I watched. They were both still getting help and parts from Omtech. In fact, the video I reference makes official videos for Omtech. I wouldn't worry about it too much. It will save new users a ton of headaches in my opinion.

    Its been 9 months since this video. Any thoughts on the XTool P2 now? Did they answer your questions? Idk if its your funky sunglasses but I feel like I can trust you.

      Ha! ;p I would say the accessories and special features (concave engraving etc...) are mostly gimmicks...BUT, the base machine seems very good and I would love to have one myself. I just wouldn't buy the extras unless I was SURE I needed them. It is, in my opinion, the best of the desktop Co2's at this point. But as I have not tried them, I cannot be SURE. Cheers

    Does the omtech have a rotary device ?
    And what is the max height, 2" like the others or is it deeper?
    You also mentioned it was basically the Gweike , are they made by the same company?

    • @ValleyForged
      @ValleyForged  Год назад

      They are not the same company, but I think they use the same basic structure. As for the other info, they do have rotary, and I don't know about the depth. Perhaps roll over to Omtech and see what they say on the site.

    I will only say that it's going to be a bit before you get anybody to bought it with their own money since it's supposed to ship out next month. Thank you for the video!

    Looks like the Omtech polar 350 is coming with the Ruida 6442s pre-installed now right at $3k.
