My two trees TS2 bit the dust and I was desperate to complete a project so I picked this up on Amazon. 20w -$299. For $300 this laser is impressive. I already had the enclosure and honey comb. Their air assist that comes with it works great. I would recommend this laser. Of course get an enclosure and the correct glasses.

I love all those fancy acrylics that you were showing from Craft Closet. But do you happen to know if those are all cast acrylic? I tried some non-cast acrylic on my Glowforge Spark, and it just melts. But I’ve been successful with engraving and cutting black cast acrylic, and it cuts and engraves with no problem. It looks great! So I’d like to try some of these fancy ones, but I don’t want to spend the money until I’m sure they won’t just melt. Thanks!

The acrylic used on your bottle openers are those patterns available to cut with a 20w diode. I have the comgrow 10w and atomstack 20w 15x33 in work area for a year now and lost my desire to use them. Just gathering dust. So thank you for content and actually highlighting these products. Time to dust them off

As you said a co2 laser seems to give more char which is fine for the edges but how would you go about cleaning the holes? I used a lighter color thread and it got all dirty looking, What's your thoughts on this? thx.

Hey Brother did my first show yesterday. Did ok, The Crosses sold better, than the kitty ying yang coaster. But sold the Corgi keychains. No ones fault, must be the area I was in. Plus not as much foot traffic. Still going forward. learned a lot from your and from my first Holiday Market. Cheers Sir

I disagree with that statement "get 40w".. it's all depends on what is going to be used for.. If mostly for cutting then yes you're absolutely right, but if main goal is engraving then hell no with that spot size you will lose so much details. Just try to engrave photo on aluminum or mirror(backside) with 10W and 40W. The difference between those two is night and day for 10W to be superior with small spot size of laser beam 😉 beside that sorry too say, but this is not an competition but praising Xtool product.. Forgetting about strongest points of MK2 like perfect fit of honeycomb, extra stencil platform with predrilled holes for perfect alignment of rotary tool for same result everytime. Also you can remove bottom plate and engrave directly on example - table

There is a handle in the middle that rotates. You can grab parts separately, but make sure it's ungrouped. If you scroll down from the material type, you will see an engrave chart that shows engraving options.

Looks like a shop vac. Why couldn’t you just rig up a nice shop vac with some sort of filter on the other side? It probably works, but for $150 I could get a nice shop vac.

What glue do you use for the tying yang kitty? CA glue?

I have seen several initial impressions of the A70 6 months ago, but no follow ups. Should it be considered as a stand alone machine? Do you use it all?

Ok, you guys!! You guys must listen to this guy. Roly is an amazing company with customer support". I can't advocate enough for what he is trying to say here. He is right on with everything he is saying. I just got off the phone with Roly, because I wanted more answers. My biggest issue is that I couldn’t decide whether to get a laser machine with an added IR module or get a laser with an added 10w laser module that Roly offers, because I really don’t want to get into wood working and that type of laser work, I want to do more metal engraving and etching of leather and soft metals, but couldn’t justify spending almost $4,000 dollars on the xTools F1 Ultra, with such a small workspace. If you guys are wanting an IR laser module with this Roly MK2, wait until Black Friday, it wll be available. BUT.. in the market of...welll... if in the market for a little more, or thinking of buying or waiting to buy the laserMK2 on Black Friday, I would wait. That's all i can say. I AM SERIOUS.... JUST WAIT!! Wait until January.

Hi there! I highly recommend to build cone shape top lid! It help so much to keep the first filter clean. The first filter is not so expensive, but still.. (You can see how the dirt air goes right into the center that filter, not good..!!!)

Same question: Can the tube be replaced by the owner. My Glowforge is running perfectly. However, we know if the tube goes out, it can't be fixed. I'm doing research now before mine goes out.

I enjoyed the way that you did this video. In all actuality you’re letting everyone know all that goes into a laser engraving business. Many people think that it’s easy. Throw an item in the laser and out comes the money. You’re always very informative, honest, and informative. Thanks you once again. I’m enjoying the journey.

There is one BIG reason that both customer service, quality of product, and false advertising is such a BIG problem in the Laser community. Almost all lasers are made in CHINA. Because they have been a communist country for decades, none of these companies cares about anything once they have your money in their pocket. They see ZERO incentive in things they see as "silly" such as the company's reputation and word getting around that their product or CS sucks. This many not be true of many companies as they start up, but eventually - and probably soon - their quality & customer service begins to resemble those brown piles found on every San Fransico street corner.

Love your honesty and videos. Could you maybe do a video on craft shows? Such as packing everything, set up, booth location preference, where you get your displays for products etc. Thanks.

Thanks for this. I work in both leather and wood and opted to get a 3D printer awhile back with the idea of using it for making leather stamping designs (which is going great). But I've really wanted an open frame laser to cut some of the more complex shapes of leather I do. I'm hoping I can place the whole frame on top of a full hide of leather instead of cutting squares of leather to fit in an enclosed machine which produces more waste leather. Been mulling over the XTool for quite awhile, but finding this vid gives me the Atomstack option which seems like a much better choice. Thanks so much for the info!

I have a question, I can't get any further. I saw a video of you connecting a ruida display to a monoport Onyx 55 to the KT322NZ controller. Which one did you install? Do I have to change any settings? I have the Ruida 6442S controller panel

I love these files, I took some yingyang cats to my first craft fair since buying my laser 3 weeks ago, I sold 3 sets, and they got a lot of attention. I would love to see some yingyang dogs.

I have to disagree with a lot of parts used in this laser, especially the problematic auto-focus, belts and steppers, which is why I decided not to do a review on it, most of all, the acceleration. While many of the new lasers are concentrating on hitting the 2 & 3G mark at 800-1000 mm/sec, this one is using cheap steppers & belts without transmissions that barely hit the 0.9G mark at 600, resulting in engravings that take 2-3x longer. This is absolutely a hobby grade laser which is reflected in the price, but for just a few $$ more, you can get a commercial grade machine, and the differences are night and day.
