Another informative video. I have the same XW 30W and love it. It has all the features a small business needs to keep up production. I noticed my laser not cutting items out like it had in the past while using the same settings. I took the laser module apart to clean it and noticed the lens was cloudy. I swapped out the lens with replacement in the Roly maintenance box and boom, back to cutting as normal. Check that lens while cleaning, use only the lens wipes Roly recommends and replace it if it is not crystal clear.
Awesome video. I read on roly site that when doing tumblers you should turn off laser o on while framing otherwise it will leave a slight mark on the tumbler. Just a friendly FYI.
You may want to try adding a bit of air while engraving. This may help with the cleaning. I use an adjustable pinch clamp on my air tube for a low tech restriction.
The candle holder file has the Celtic Cross graphic as the third variation. So just open it up, and cut it out. I am actually working on a video for it as well. I am doing a copper inlay in the candle holder. Thanks again! Let me know if I answered the question.
I'm using a 440cfm fan to get rid of the fumes from my Roly XW30 engraver, but I'm still smelling the fumes in my room, in your video you said it's better to have the fan sucking the fumes out of versus blowing. How do I have it suck the fumes out versus blowing the fumes out??
Thanks as always, but the fan exhaust you mentioned has a terrible rating..I'm looking to up my exhaust but I'm happy with mine compared to the reviews..
You also need a good fresh air system that pulls in air into your enclosure from outdoors. This is especially important if you live in a cold environment as just having a exhaust will cause a negative air pressure in your building and will draw outdoor air into your building through ALL gaps, cracks and drafts.

Thanks Eric, always great to hear your views!!
Thanks for the video! A lot of great tips!
Once again another insformative video. Thanks.

I just used it on tumblers without issue, but it would be a good thing to look out for.
That's good to know as it is a very useful feature.
Thank you for the information.
Great tips, thanks!

Yes, a tiny bit would probably be good, but I cannot be bothered, lol.
Great video! Where do I go to match the graphic on the celtic cross and the candle holder?

Any way you can provide links to the items you mention? The fan, the leather dye?

As I said, if you have the blower at the window or outside it is sucking out, not blowing. If it is at your machine it is blowing. :)

This is the fan I use. And I absolutely love it and will keep buying it. I have had several others that were not nearly as good, that cost more.
