@@FredSchmitthammer Yes, this is the older file. But it has the earrings as someone below asked for (and the coaster). Guessing you already have these files. :)
Just bought and downloaded from your shop, I know I'm being ambitious, I've ordered, but never used a laser, or Lightburn, but those corgi bums are just too cute to resist.
You're right! My house looks like a craft store! I bring a variety of stuff when I go to an event, and there is 2 or 3 things that flies off my table and the rest of the time I am watching RUclips on my phone! Thank You!
Hi from over the pond. First time commenting. But have watched all your videos. Cracking job as always. Here in the uk we don’t get the selection of wood as you guys do. So I think we are limited to the designs unless we want to paint. I my self love all of what you are doing. So thank you for the input and love of lasers.
Good point pick one thing, I have dozens of things I like to make. Selling, I am retired and want to get out there. But where at times, and shows are expensive. Anyway thanks
You might want to look into a silicone baster brush for glue spreading. It may or may not get the glue as thin and even as the foam brush, but it's re-useable!
Hey there I am from New Zealand, just came accross this video, Unfortunally its way to expensive for me to get coloured board in from the states, But I have bought your file and going to try these coasters, some I will paint I dont mind painting, and other I am going to try coloured vinal. I will do a small run of the coasters. Also defintly want to have a crack at a celtic cross. Thanks for the ideas and the files. Ian
Thanks for doing this. I was wondering about the kerf. Thanks for answering that. Also, what do you put in back of earrings instead of the cork. Another piece of wood?
Are you using acrylic from Craft Closet for the key chains? If so, is it the two tone or solid? Thanks! Just received a bunch of color solid MDF and planning on making a few kettiy coasters tonight.
I get all of my materials currently from CC. I do the keychains in many materials, wood, transparent acrylics (Co2 only), Two-tone. For diode the two-tone is the way to go. I like the orange and the purple best so far.
Another good video. Do you have problems cutting the white boards with the Roly? I have the Roly 20/10 watt and want to make the black and white ones with that laser. Thanks
I don't get much on my Roly, but on my other laser it had quite a bit. I just used some windex and a cloth to wipe it off. If it won't come off, that seems wrong. Play around with your settings and air assist, you should be able to make it better.
@@ValleyForged Yea I figured that I used alcohol, it came off. I tried the lowering of setting and doing two passes, still. Max the air assist. So I will need to just clean them and go from there. Still better than painting. Thanks for getting back with me.
The Corgi is much harder. I actually use white and paint all the colors that are not white. You can use the white, orange, black, and Red, but it will waste wood.
@@ValleyForged it’s ok, I’m not starting with as many colors as you have, so the smaller one will work fine for now, hopefully… One more question…Sorry…. Your corgi coasters, do you still use the circular cork under those too or something else? From the side it doesnt look like anything is under there….
@@candacealcoser5082 I cut a 3mm MDF using the outline of the corgi. Then I cut out some felt with the same outline, and glue them all together. They are really not worth all the trouble sometimes, but they are so cute!! lol

I hope that someday I come up with a design as iconic and popular as this.

Earrings are so cute
This is extremely nice and easy
I wish buying in EU wouldn't be so expesive. Their choice of materials is awesome.

I still get a deep joy from just turning on my machine. So crazy how life works. Thanks for the nice comment! :)
I'm also in the UK, we seem so far behind with what materials are easily available to us, it sucks.

The color board solids are amazing. I hate painting. No more painting!

Thanks for doing this. I was wondering about the kerf. Thanks for answering that. Also, what do you put in back of earrings instead of the cork. Another piece of wood?
I engrave and hand paint the earrings. But I am sure you could come up with other ways. That is the fun of it.
@valley forged These color boards, shows they are finished on both sides. You don’t have any issues with glue up?
Nope. I suppose you could do a light sanding if you are worried about it.

Should not be an issue at all. Obviously do your testing, but it cuts just like mdf
Great job as always. I am a wood guy. How do the walnut and maple ones sell?
Great, but they cost way more to make of course.
for the earrings do you use backing material? How to you keep the pieces together?
They are engraved, not cut. And I use a different file. Check If you got my pack, it has it in it.
have you got a specific link for the coloured mdf, cant find anything in the uk.thanks
I don't have a link for the UK. Perhaps someone else will see this and reply.
@@ValleyForged thanks for reply,i can get black and white of amazon, should do for now.
Got a link to the cork coasters. I got some but they are thin
Yeah I was looking for the link as well
I just added the link to the description. Thanks for pointing it out.
Do you spray the cork with the laqour as well and do you sell them individually better
I only sell then individually, and yes :)
Kitty parts❤😂😂😂
hey, the inner circle (the one inside the circle cut)... is that a cut line or a score line? on the kitty coasters....
Score line

You mentioned file modification of the kitty for earrings...did I miss how you change it?
You can just get the pack with the earrings on my ETSY. I use a different file for the earrings.

link to coasters?
