    For small town folks, I'd recommend looking into their high-school sports teams. Ours doesn't have any trademarks and doesn't mind us creating stuff for a very very loyal community. Custom slate projects with their kid's number and photo can generate a lot of money

      For one month I am searching for a fiber laser machine for metals with engraving function ( cutting also is an advantage but not must ) .
      The problem that in the market there is many brands and many RUclipsrs saying our fiber laser is the best , another youtuber saying my fiber laser machine and i am really very confused.
      I need fiber laser machine to have a small business , the business idea already well prepared, i am beginner using lasers with no experience.
      I need mainly the fiber laser machine to engrave names and other symbols on gold, silver , aluminum, titanium, brass, chrome, acrylic things like that.
      If any one have an advice to me build on real practical experience it will be nice to show ne the direction.

      Please run a business legally. Don't be some legit business's competition and not pay your share of taxes, because there is no such thing as a legal side hustle if you aren't registered with the state and paying your tax on sales. Doing it that way is dirty business. imho.

    • @TonyVawnz
      @TonyVawnz 11 месяцев назад

      @@marcfeliz Why would you bring up doing the business legally? Side hustle isn’t synonymous with illegal activity. It’s making money outside of your 9-5.

    • @marcfeliz
      @marcfeliz 11 месяцев назад

      @TonyVawnz Because I assure you, if you polled 100% of "home-based" laser owners, the majority of them would tell you "oh, I'm not in business, I only do this for fun money", or "I only do this for my friends and family", but they charge everyone for their work. So, I am confident in saying the majority who sell small quantities of products for a profit, do not establish an actual business and pay state taxes on sales. That is why I bring that up. IMHO of course.

    • @TonyVawnz
      @TonyVawnz 11 месяцев назад

      @@marcfeliz Understood, I can agree that lots of people aren’t above board when it comes to taxes. Those people need to get educated on the tax benefits they’re giving up by not going the legit route.

    Starting a new company to show results is an excellent idea. Not to date myself but marketing/advertising for me initially was Phone Books and Gorrila marketing books. We cut ads in smaller cheap phone books to test pricing, and company names, drive new work that we were not sure we wanted to incorporate, etc. Much of that was incorporated into existing businesses, and some took off and sold as stand-alone companies later. Testing a new biz helps you refine the one you have without setting it on fire.

    I stumbled across your channel last night by chance. After watching most of your content I’m now considering this as viable as I have to change to a new career path. Your start over idea is a great one and massively helpful.
    A few things I thought of you could maybe cover are:
    * I guess the choice of laser(s) you buy are determined by the nature of the work you hope to produce, space and budget.
    * Based on that if funds allow, a CO2 laser would offer the most options from day 1?
    * Would having the addition of a fibre laser cover the the vast majority of materials to offer customers and flexibility?
    * How important is a camera with a live preview? Useful to ensure you minimise wastage and setup calibration?
    * Do any lasers offer automated loading/unloading to run things in your absence? I saw the xtool P2 has a feed through option.
    * In your xtool review the anodised aluminium result was an eye-opener, so in your experience no CO2 laser has equalled that quality?
    * What about consumables. Wood veneers, plastics, merch, how would you go about sourcing, the nature of the material (thickness), things to look for and avoid.
    * I noticed in another video you mentioned buying consumables from Alibaba when volume dictates but would you ever buy a laser via that route? Would purchasing locally in country with the support be paramount? (many available on Alibaba are unbranded western models).

    Great info! Yes, I think starting a new business series would be awesome!
    Would you go into filing the paperwork required to start a business?

      @@justinlaser I just found in craigslist, a Boss LS-1630, Gen V CO2 laser, still in the box (metal shipping band still attached). They are asking $5,800. I saw the starting price on the website for $6700.They claim to have went with upgraded units instead. I would appreciate any input.

    Great origin story. I am currently creating my starting assortment for photos to start locally. Think testing product viability. I would be very interested in a series based on your “start up”. I think it will parallel my efforts.
    Really appreciate your style and content!

    I like the idea of finding new customers for existing: popular products. I'd like hear more about how to find "boring" products to make for B2B customers. (Similar to small interior door signage)

      Theres a whole world of people that do government or industry specific contract work just laser marking metal things for compliance stuff. Cant imagine its very fun but at least those industries pay.
