💸 Check out my top 25 business ideas to start in 2025: stan.store/jensentung Should I upload a Part 2 update video? Edit: I'm so happy you guys are so tuned in for Part 2! It may take a while, as I want it to be a significant update. I will let you guys know once I drop it!
Definitely! Can’t wait. This is the type of videos I love, when you try different business ideas and show the whole process. Keep up the good the amazing work!
I went with a 10w laser and did everything here for around $650. Lightburn software is used by the pros. You can sell and upgrade the laser later and recoup some money when you're ready. Do NOT go into debt by following this video and drop five or six grand on a whim. Especially if you have no vector design skills. The more you know, the better... see one in action first. BTW, nearly any laser will engrave on a toothpick- 10w is even higher resolution than 40w.
You have forgotten to add the subscription cost to Adobe software in your cost calculations spreadsheet, along with any other paid software must be used for the business... Also you must add the "rent" space use for the printer in the home/office, which even if small, will add up over a longer period of time and could be also claimed in the next tax return filing :)
Imagine only 0,1% of viewers starting this business... as of today that's 56 new shops competing on Etsy... on top of those already existing.... How long do you think this will be profitable? :)
Lot's of people looking to invest tend to only look for the good reviews, and avoid skepticism. It is a HIGHLY saturated market, and if a small to mid size company wanted to add engraving to their services, what is to stop them from just purchasing their own laser? That doesn't leave a lot of options for the one person throwing their life savings at a 5-10k dollar business, so I tell people if you are looking to invest in the laser cutting business, make sure it is something that you wouldn't mind having as a "toy" that doesn't make you money. Make sure that it is something that you just like having, and it truly is a valuable tool to have in your arsenal, though taking out a loan for this would be insane.
I agree but you shouldn't go in blind sited and expect to make millions from it. It takes time and effort to build a business. Buying one of these could make you money but you just need to niche down and service a particular audience.
I have an idea for another business idea you should try! You should try a drone business, like buying a drone and taking photos of peoples homes and framing them, or any other ideas.
Bro - your videos are 🔥🔥! Great picture, great audio, great editing, and great presentation. Keep it up man You got me on video quality alone!!! An absolute pleasure to watch.
5:38 lol something he probably found out pretty quickly is you can't just cut out enclosed spaces, they drop out. Look at the letter b, he had to put the inside shape back into it. If this was an actual plate he'd only have the outline of the letter b on it.
Thank you for sharing this content. By the way, the problem that I constantly face is actually finding stores, online or physical, where to buy the materials, like wood. Can you also tell us what you use to find these places? Is it a pure google search or something else?
Wow Jensen, You're awesome... wish you could send us this! We're an up-and-coming gift company. I'd love to send you and the family some personalized keepsakes.
@Jensentung Good video but just FYI... you going all out on a 4500 dollar machine TO START isn't really helpful if you are trying to inform most of your viewers of how it works... The top tier machine you bought will have more power, more capacity, faster operating speeds, better software and most likely break less than a lower tier machine. Most of us watching don't have 4500 to drop on a machine to start a business that may or may not work.
I'm Brazilian and I bought a "Twotrees 10w". Even though it is simple, it is a very impressive machine and the price is much more affordable. (I bought them from a local supplier here in Brazil, but they are made in China. I paid the equivalent of 300 dollars). It can even have its area expanded by changing a few parts, being able to work with larger jobs than the one in the video. The price difference is huge. So, for those who are "just starting out", I recommend making a more modest investment. There are several models from different brands, much cheaper than the one in the video.
"xTool did not sponsor this video, but was kind enough to cover the costs of the P2 after the video was uploaded." ... let's face it, this was an advert for xTool. Nothing more.
When you watch a video with a click bait thumbnail, at some point in the video you realize he didn't make the amount he advertised in the thumbnail... and I am stupid for clicking on this. I hate how click bait thumbnail videos make me feel stupid for falling for the same con so often. Booooooo.
Looking forward to see how it's going. Got same challenge as you and managed to build a 6 figure laser business on Etsy :) Happy share my experiences with you!! Love your videos btw!
Its not that simple dude. You dont just know how to use the software just like that. You also have to get to know how to use a laser, and also knowing the kerf and what it actually does. Yes 7 days to start a business. but NO real product until you practice on lots of materials and also thickness. This is a typical RUclipsr being a know it all. But to be honest if you take out the 7 days in the title, yeah this would be a very truthful video.
I like the content of your videos and you are Entertaining to watch but I have noticed that on thumbnails you show an amount of generated sales even though in the video you have not sold anything, or significantly less. Haven't seen all your videos but what I'm saying applies to this video, here you mention that you don't want to reveal the products you're selling right now on etsy, then I don't think you can declare 9804 $ in sales on your thumbnail likewise. I also see the same Tendency in your video "I Tried Selling Al Art Prints On Etsy For 30 Days". I wouldn't have a problem with What is mentioned above if your thumbnail showed something else Because it's still Educational and you are A Good Content Creator. /Cheers
If you were going to use AI to generate images to use, what prompt can you use to ensure the image is black and white and has no shading, i.e. could be cut by the lazer. Im trying to do this for another purpose but i dont know what words to tell AI to get the style of image i need
That's a really smart way to create designs! I would say "2D black and white outline" is the term. You might also have to bring the generated image into a vector graphics editor like Adobe Illustrator to vectorize the image.
Part 2 please. I am waiting for my xTool F1 Ultra, but since I ordered it, I have second-guessed whether I chose the right machine. I wish I could afford a P2 also.

Which exact laser do you have? Do you recommend it? Can you laser the powder coated Stanley’s?
Agreed! If you're just starting out, buy a cheaper model from xTool or another company.
Truth!
@@leannadanna17get a laserpecker 4 or xtool f1 for that task
Which ONE?
Editing is getting better and better! Love the innovation and hustle to make each video better and more interesting. Great stuff bro
Wait until he finds out that wood isn't free
Or shipping materials 😅
Or electricity cost 😅😅

Right, hes just another snake oil salesman
But, probably only 0.00001% will actually even try, let alone get to the listing stage
@@utubemouse fair enough, but Etsy is over sarurated and profits driven to bottom. If anyone wants to try, I’d suggest local marketplace

Great video. Where's part 2?
"i got an order I'll see you in part two" 🤗
IM INTO THIS BUSINESS TO AND I LIKE THIS CO2 CUTTING LASER MACHINE WHAT IS THE BEST LASER I MAY BUY?
I have engraver that works only on metal..i engrave knives...guns..all sorts of weapons..in my garage
Thinking of Purchasing one to start a business. What was your thoughts?
Waiting for part 2
hey, love ur vids dude!
Thank you. Did XTool give you the machine? Engraving takes almost too long to pay Etsys fees. Wood is expensive , consider upcycling old plywood.
Paart 2 please!
so, what do you think is the best side hustle to start right now though which we can ACTUALLY earn
Whatever you are willing to put the work into. Nothing is going to happen over night.
Hey Jensen! how did you sell to US? just shipped out through international post shipping?

Great Vid Bro^^
Btw u looks like DK from Tokyo Drift ^^
yes if someone buy. that they can do them self and make money. IF someone buy. bcoz all can buy own
Where do you buy your clothes? I really like the black long shirt you are wearing!
Thanks! It's Uniqlo HEATTECH!
I LOVE THE VIDSS
I just Subscribed ❤
easy to make = anyone can do it = lots of competition = low profit. you don't have an usp.
How everything went? Still waiting for part 2
"xTool did not sponsor this video, but was kind enough to cover the costs of the P2 after the video was uploaded."

This is gonna be the one
please can you share that spread sheet that you used at the start so that i could use it. Thanks
Link to it is in the video description!
No second video in 6 months. Disappointing, Jensen, dis a ppointing.... :(

did part 2 ever get released? I can't find it
Looking forward to see how it's going.

This guy is so fool of shit that his eyes are brown. it's all about selling his business course and all the other crap he is flogging.
So how is it going now?
Update? Also the P2 needs a lot more work outta the box like calibration and learning curves
For the stone is ok?
Did you ever make a second part!!

Where is the follow up to this? It's been a while.. xD
I'll be your first customer if it works out.
I have my laser cnc for 5 months... I want to sell it😂
What is the reason for this decision?
Waiting for part 2 💀

What’s the 7 month update with your business? Have you recouped your investment at least?
Would it work to engrave on a tile with this machine ?
Thanks
So, where's the 2nd part?
Business Statup Spreadsheet plz ✍🏼
We all know Jensen you din't paid for that laser :D
Its been over 2 months now, how is the Laser Business doing?
I am designing products for my employer on Etsy 😄
try this but with metal cards
$ 1 a day and then make $ 9804 in a month is utter BS and a slap in the face of marketers/agencies trying to generate business for their customers.
good job
Part 2 please. I am waiting for my xTool F1 Ultra, but since I ordered it, I have second-guessed whether I chose the right machine. I wish I could afford a P2 also.
You made a wise choice! I’m looking at getting the same one to add to my collection. Good luck with your business.
