The goal is to contribute to the documentation of history in some small way, while evoking emotion, memories and nostalgia for fellow humans, well enough to make a living.

Heard of Moselle recently from a friend from Franklin County.. You've told a poignant story with great photography and music. Would love to see a follow up with "Mr. Moselle" for more history! Thanks for the tour.

Thank you kindly. I would be keen to make a more in-depth follow up with Mr. Moselle. Perhaps that can happen now that this reverent piece can be looked to for assurance. TYFW.

Those floodwaters imply very rich land. But the Meramec R. is badly polluted below Courtois Creek, and that could interfere with agriculture. Fortunately, Moselle is upstream from Valley Park, a Dioxin superfund site.
    Nice Drone shots!
Man, everybody wants to do Route 66. It is refreshing to see something other small towns.
Suggestion: there are little bitty villages inside Mark Twain Forest.
One thing you should know is that Franklin County was settled by Rivermen turned Miners. These are some TOUGH people and a great hope for combatting the invaders.

Thank you for watching and insightful encouraging comments. I'll try to keep tiny Mark Twin Forest villages in mind, thanks! 🙂

I like this channel. Its chill. Lowkey. DS strikes me as the kind of guy to secretly live in one of the water intake towers by the chain of rocks bridge. Sidenote, Chouteau Island has some abandoned streets from long flooded neighborhoods.

“Abandoned” videos usually aren’t this good! Or the video maker just used that in his title to attract attention, and the place in fact was barely abandoned.

Thanks for the positive take, it's fair to say my "abandoned" videos are not nearly as spectacular as people have come to expect, but I still like making some of my very own. 😏 TYFW
