- Formerly known as Prediction VS Results. With this project the word "prediction" is debatable. It's just an opinion of some people on the internet anyway. Not sure if I should keep it in the title.
Comments:
43 - RUclips and ESC agrees about this. Not sure we ever agreed on the last place.
42 - I guess it was expected it wouldn't do as well as with the RUclipsrs (same as lest year), but I don't think it deserved this position.
41 - Only one off.
40 - We agree on another one wooo :D
39 - Slightly lower in the contest.
38 - Also didn't do quite as well.
37 - The first country we do not agree at all.
36 - Did a bit better in the contest, but we pretty much agreed here.
35 - One off again. This year is already more similar than the previous ones.
34 - So RUclipsrs placed this 5th. The biggest difference, or is it?
33 - RUclips placed this higher. Didn't quite work in the contest.
32 - Again out of the final, I really hoped this would make it.
31 - Biggest difference, again :P Another favourite of RUclipsrs, out of the final. I don't think it was deserved non-qualification.
30 - Ended two positions higher in the contest. Pretty close.
29 - Two positions lower. Many one or two off. I had hoped for a qualification here, the performance was well done.
28 - Again one off.
27 - RUclips put this 41st and it's just out of the final.
26 - Didn't do all that well in the contest. Host's curse?
25 - Another RUclips favourite ending up much lower.
24 - They landed much lower than they could on our top. But not quite last in the final.
23 - Landed lower in the contest.
22 - Did better in the contest. Happy every time it happens. For obvious reasons xD
21 - Struggled a bit more in the contest than with the RUclips public.
20 - Close once again. Yet again highly supported by the jury.
19 - Quite a big difference here.
18 - Did better in the contest.
17 - Probably ruined by the running order, but it's not the only one.
16 - Dark horse of the year? Not quite. But it's one of them.
15 - After winning the semi-final, it couldn't quite keep the "hype". Still much higher than ranked by the RUclips.
14 - So much off. Deserved better.
13 - 4th by the RUclipsrs, not quite there in the contest.
12 - This song was slowly gaining spots on the YT ranking, and it captured the Europe in the contest.
11 - One of the dark horses got so high, but the winning dark horse of the year is?
10 - This one! 39th spot by the YT and top 10 in the contest. Way to turn it all around.
9 - Only a few spots disagreement.
8 - Fantastic job, but still 2 places lower in the contest.
7 - Maybe expected this would do great no matter what.
6 - One off [4324] .
5 - Last year they did worse than predicted this year they did better. Where is the threshold?
4 - Did so much better than YT ranked it.
3 - Same here, but this happens every year.
2 - YT ranked this 8th. But it became favourite much later.
1 - And we agree! Waves to 2012 and 2013 when we agreed too xD

Guillermo Bosque It is eurovision SONG contest. Not eurovision STAGING contest.
But the live performance matter and unfortunately greece was under the pitch the whole song and belgium was not hitting the high notes well.... switzerland was pretty good tho, would have qualified to the final easily if they were in semi 2 but semi 1 was way too competitive.
Well, then let's just Skip the Contest and pick the best Song among the studio tracks :P

A lot of -29s this year. Kinda scary how when the fan favourites fall, they all fall the same amount of positions

Um your voters must've been so blinded by their hatred for Alexander Rybak that they couldn't even vote rationally. In what universe was he ever going to finish 29th especially in the weak semi he was in? He was the top qualifer and I do not understand how that was something they didn't see ahead of time, at least thinking he would be top 5 in his semi... I also have to laugh at them thinking anything from Sweden would finish as low as 17th. They got 5th in 2016 with a far worse song. The other misses I can understand because no one expected Moldova to have such great staging for example.

Alexander rybak is so dated and boring with a fifth grade song that I am amazed he even qualified!
I feel like he mainly got votes bc hes a famous Eurovision artist. Had that song gone to an unknown artist, it wouldnt have passed into thr final, let alone gotten 1st in the semi. Not to say its all bad, his singing is just as stunning as it was in 2009, but its just a much weaker song than Fairytale

Lucas Dal Bosco Baseggio not really. Looking at televoting only, we did better in televoting than on RUclips in 2014-2016-2017-2018, so that’s not quite a good reason. But I agree on the fact that our entries are more leaning towards jury-support.

What do you mean with those arrows next to the numbers, i don't get it, is the final or the semifinal?
The difference compared to the video (or ranking) of 2000 voters. So for example Finland has red 15, which means it did 15 positions worse in the contest then with the RUclips people. Or in other words, it ranked 10th with RUclipsrs.
How do you find the point totals for the semi finals

Can someone explain how this video works?
If you take Cyprus for example, they got 2th place and then you see the green number 6. It means that youtube predicted it to be number 8, but ended on 2. Also if the number is red, it means the song ended lower than youtube predicted. Hope this helps. :)
How did the automatic qualifiers get chosen?
summer wine italy, germany, u. k, france and spain are sponsor countries so they get automatic qualification. also, last year winner gets automatic qualification to the final.

Why did iceland come last
See Greece and Belgium out of the final was so sad, seriously Europe, you choosed Serbia or other not interesting countries... And Bulgaria, my n1. So sad this position, at least won Israel and not Cyprus, sorry but I hate the song, in my opinion is good, but no for be in my setlist of favorites songs.

Corey Blackstone Simple. Norway win the second semi-final but didn't win the televoting or jury voting scores. And in the GF there were better entries for juries and audiences to vote more (especially from SF1).

I loved Hungary so much in 2018. AWS really is an awesome band and I haven't stopped keeping track of them and their music since last year's ESC. I'm so glad that Eurovision made me discover them, and Vizlat Nyar was a great song. The country kind of disappointed me this year, the song is pretty meh and it doesn't really stand out in any way.
The real top looks.... Bad... I mean FYROM on the 42nd place?! Really Europe. Before the show, You said that they have a Good song, but the Staging Was "bad". As a reminder, You said the same thing about TOY and look who's the Winner......

What means the Red or Green Number ?
The white number is showing the actual place in the competition while the colored number next to it shows the expected position by RUclips. But you have to add (green) or subtract (red) it. Denmark ended up at 9th position in the contest but was *expected* to end up at the 12th position by YT. That's why there's a green 3 next to the 9. Estonia became 8th but was *expected* to end up at the 6th place (so there's a red 2 next to the 8). Green is positiv. The country did better than it was expected and red is negativ. The country got a worse result than YT (or the people) thought

Wrong. Georgia is 42nd, Macedonia is 41st because they received points from more countries. That's how the tie break works. This means we actually got Georgia right.

Also the countries from which points received rule is for breaking ties on qualification in the older system!! the new tie breaker system for positions is to count who got more 12 points, then 10 points , then 8 points and so on!!

It's not the televote. If the amount of countries is the same, then they'll go by who got more 12, 10, 8 points and so on. And it doesn't matter how many countries compete. Macedonia got points from more countries, therefore they are higher than Georgia. End of story.

37. Croatia & 34. Greece ruined it by vocals (Croatia shouted too much, Greece was just bad) and staging (too empty) 37. Belarus - bad vocals (staging is brilliant I think, but not everyone gets it) I was sad too see them all not qualifying, cause I love the songs (Belarus my #2, Greece #3, Croatia #8)
36. Russia - omg, it deserves last place. It's my country, but that was horrible, I don't know why anyone voted for that. Pitty? No, thanks, it's a song contest and her vocals are awful and that's it.
32. Switzerland did a great job (my #13 of 41) but it was just a tough year.
