_About Finland_ *Yes right, Finland 2015, were actually in Finnish as well, this means this entry is actually the right one* _About Russia_ *Originally it says that this song has ukrainian & russian lyrics (2012 entry was in english)*
It's obvious that the following countries should (always) sing in their native languages at Eurovision: * Australia - English * France - French * Ireland - English or Irish (mostly of Ireland's entries are in English except 1972) * Italy - Italian * Malta - English or Maltese (the first two ESC songs from Malta were in Maltese) * Spain - Spanish * United Kingdom - English
Only the beginning and first chorus are in Ukrainian, rest is Russian. You can hear for example how she says "mamo" (Ukrainian) in the first chorus and in next one "mama" (Russian)
I personally wouldn't count Udmurt as a native language to Russia, as it is a minority language not related in a region that the Russian Federation occupies rather than actual Russia itself.
Halbtonschritt why we choose who we want to send to Eurovision....if we wanted a song in Swedish we would vote for it 😌 all the songs we send to esc represent what music we like here! So don’t feel sorry feel sorry for someone else
They have a native language - English. They also speak Scots (in parts of Scotland), Gaelic (in parts of UK) and Keltic (in parts of UK). But I know what you meant with your comment, and I agree
I actually discovered that Conchita lost to Trackshittaz in 2012 with 49% of the votes! Those votes changed the history D: Also it was to search what language was that because I was told that it was a dialect, but still counts widely as german I guess
This is actually really interesting
I think Salvador's win helped on bringing back native languages. I love the variety. It would be nice to have some German back.
RIP Roger Cicero
This video just reminded me of 2010 crime with the slovakian entry: horehronie
When you know Shalalie is coming for your country.. LOL

Ekaterina Meyer-Landrut I'm not Ukrainian or either from Russia, so I have no idea in which language she sings lol

English is their native language. of course, it's not the only one spoken there: Welsh, Cornish, Manx, Gaelic, etc.

Austria 2012 sings in a austrian dialect. So a strange german
EdBig TV Still german
Yeah, I think it was a Bavarian dialect? Mühlviertelisch. But it is still German, if you speak the language, you can understand (almost) everything.
