This is still a true masterpiece and one of my eurovision favorites. Finland, send Saara to ESC one more time, she deserves more than she got last time.
Saara is killing it again. A nice melodic ballad version of a banger, moreover in 34 languages. Let's be honest and admit she's a real artist with an incredible voice
OMG!! She has just brought back the true SPIRIT of Eurovision, which for me is marveling at the language diversity of Europe, combined with the music. I really wish the EBU would bring back the local languages and demand that at least HALF of each song is sung in the local language. Let's bring back Europe to Eurovision!! :) Let's bring back a taste of the different cultures of this great continent called Europe :)
I agree - it was hearing the different languages and cultures that got me captivated as a child, recorded all the songs, listened to them for years, learned to sing in strange languages, learned to look up to foreign cultures. Now it's sad cause the songs feel plastic, boring and many are copies of what is considered a "winner song". Losing interest... More performances like this bring it back!
The only problem with that would be it would give English (and to an extent French) speaking countries a large advantage. I think the problem lies with the broadcasters, I think they should take more responsibility to properly represent their people and cultures, whether that be in their own language or in English so they can deliver their message to more people. Songs are more than just notes with words and losing the meaning can make songs lose a hell of a lot. Take 'Monsters' or 'Toy' or 'Mercy', without the meaning, they're just pretty tunes. But with meaning, they're fantastic songs with great messages. Personally, I would love to see more of different languages at Eurovision but it's up to the broadcasters to deliver their message through other means, not the EBU to add an unfair rule to make language mandatory, when you can represent a people and a culture in other ways
So that's why I suggest a rule that would require ONLY HALF or at least one VERSE to be sung in the local language. As a language teacher, I value the importance of keeping local languages alive, because a language is the soul of a nation and a window to its culture...Who can we talk to about this in the EBU?

This is sooo hard...And she even managed to pronounce Latvian language very correct. "Nu Dēmoni ir prom"-"Now The Demons Are Gone". Thanks Saara for mentioning our tiny countrys rare language. ^_-
This one of the main reasons why I am a Eurovision fanatic. Each language is beautiful. The fact that Saara was able to do this multi language version of her song is captivating. Keep it Saara. Cheers from America! Eurovision Song Contest 2018, I am fucking ready for you!!
After 3 years still coming back to this song and every time getting tears in my eyes. This is what Eurovision does - it connect us. And this song proves it so much. Your voice is angelic, Saara. Thank you with all of my heart.
You TOTALLY NAILED IT. That's just amazing. Your voice is awesome and this multi cultural acoustic version of Monsters was everything. You're SO talented 😍

This is so amazing... I stopped caring about actual results of Eurovision long ago because they almost never make sense. I only watch it to discover such artists as Saara. And this year didn't disappoint me at all just because I go to hear her (and, heh, also gotta note Rasmussen and Equinox, those I will never be able to forget either).
I mean, this is just WOW. From the languages I understand, she even captures the right tone. It’s amazing. You sort of wish that the entire Eurovision audience got to hear this as well as the stage version just to understand how awesome Saara is!
You should have gone with this version, it would be something different. You have a pretty impresive accent, even in Greek. The fact that you memorized all of it impresses me... it takes true dedication to do that.
If you look up the word 'Talent' in a dictionary, you probably will see Saara Aalto there, and if not, this needs to be changed :) Finland, you can be really proud about your choice :3
This was the Best bulgarian I've ever heard of a foreingner, especially by some whose native language has nothing to do with the bulgarian or at least the slavic! Brilliant! Congratulations!
Saara, you've been slaying my whole life since I've heard your songs back in 2016. your voice is from another world, your charisma incomparable and your talent unlimited. Monsters is the perfect Eurovision song. Go for the trophy Finnish snow fairy! Love ❤
YLE has nothing to do with this. Except they chose Saara as our performer, didn't hold a proper UMK (new music competition, where we choose our vision star), held a crappy show on tv, promised to change it to better, did not listen to the viewers and ended up combining 3 different shows into a one huge mess. YLE does not get gredit for this awesome piece. Saara does.
Dear Saara Aalto, it have to be said, you are awesome!!! I remember you from UK x factor, and you were my favourite!! Every time, I listen you singing, you leave me speechless! Thanks for existing in the world of music!!! Love from Cyprus!!!
OMG you sang so beautifully in Greek as well. I cannot believe that you were able to nail a performance like that. I've been watching you since UK xfactor and you are a great artist. It takes guts and talent to make a performance like that and you definitely have both and gave us your soul. Thank you for that Saara, hope you do well in the EU contest. Lots of love from Greece
WOW. I rarely get shivers from songs but this one really did give them. What a strong performance that was so emotional that it made me tearing a bit. You can clearly hear when language changes but none of them breaks the lyrics, the rhythm, the flow.. they all blend together surprisingly well though some languages are quite different! I especially love the Finnish ending "Enää pelkää en". Strong and perfect!
Saara, please read this; I am very proud of you cause you sing this beautiful song with piano in almost all world languages! You sing Slovenian language better than a lots of Slovene people and you’re such an amazing young talented girl, who has a beautiful voice. LOVE U AND THIS WONDERFUL SONG!!!! I wonder how didn’t you win?!?!?!?!?!
This is the living proof people don't actually need English to have their song sound good. If you're talented it should do the work. She would win if she did that lol even if some bitter people would spit at it but gosh she is so good it sounds flawless. This is perfect.
So wonderful !! I have no words to describe such a marvelous artistic proposition. As a french speaking person, i feel so many strong emotions just by hearing this ! Thank you so much sweet Saara for all this.

My opinion is, that Saara should perform this version at the contest. Its really beautifull.

This version is perfect for the contest!!!

FannomacritaireSuomi Not like the song that won last year had literally no English it
FannomacritaireSuomi the song can literally be anything. Latvia sent a song full of gibberish twice
Renenlilje It was Belgium. Nice try tho.

Fluffy Anny the thing is that you can’t play an instrument on Eurovision if you are the vocalist

Hyvää Saara. This is so beautiful. I know you are gonna slay this year's Eurovision. Onnea Saara. Win or lose , you are a shining star.❤❤❤

Michael Magdalasidis Can you please let me know what she sang in Russian, because I can speak Russian but could understand only like two words...
когда мне шишка армия??? за мной пропали демоны вон??/
я токо ето понял ЛОЛ
Saara, please read this;
I am very proud of you cause you sing this beautiful song with piano in almost all world languages! You sing Slovenian language better than a lots of Slovene people and you’re such an amazing young talented girl, who has a beautiful voice. LOVE U AND THIS WONDERFUL SONG!!!! I wonder how didn’t you win?!?!?!?!?!
Good job Saara the fact you learnt all those languages means a lot and the tone of your voice was absolutely beautiful. 12 points from the UK 🇬🇧
Wow!!! Excelente interpretación. 12 points from México
So much emotions in this perform❤️❤️❤️❤️, I’m in tears, can’t help it. Saara 💙 ”Enää pelkää en”

Naya Palari Vote for Saara in the semi please 💗💗💗
SURE i will vote for her! She is AMAZING!!!
Amazing Multitalented 🔥❤️ Saara Aalto🙌
This is the living proof people don't actually need English to have their song sound good. If you're talented it should do the work.
She would win if she did that lol even if some bitter people would spit at it but gosh she is so good it sounds flawless.
This is perfect.
My words exactly! :)
Last year salvador showed it
I know, but for 2018 at least.
So wonderful !! I have no words to describe such a marvelous artistic proposition. As a french speaking person, i feel so many strong emotions just by hearing this ! Thank you so much sweet Saara for all this.
