    I only wish this was true however in the company I work in they expect us level 2 to also do level 1 work even though level 1 have 4 times the amount of staff that we in level 2 have . So it's not always so clear cut when it comes to IT .

    i have my cisco ccna 200-301 cert, im currently looking for my first job in IT. What roles should i be looking for to get my first experience ? I've been looking for tech support analyst roles but so many of them ask for minimum 1- 2 years experience. Thanks

      @egorm8952 2 года назад

      Data center technician maybe? Or try to look for a job in ISP or telephony, technicians are always needed. Good luck with your search! Congrats on CCNA btw. Consider doing CCNP though.

    I graduated with a degree in information technology. I tried many IT jobs. Could never stay with one for too long. I got fired or laid off after each job. I tried coding but i realized that i didnt like it either. I just turned 30 and i have realized that i might have pursued a field that is not for me. I dont want to solve problems or talk to people over the phone about their computer issues. I had to do that. I dreaded going to work becuase of it.

What would be the major things i should look to research or improve on? i really want to succeed in this job but i'm just nervous as i have no prior experience. thank you.

    Do you think a level 1 person can easily become a level 2? I dont have an it background, however somehow I have been working as a level 1 for 2 years now and I saw there's is an open opportunity for level 2,do you think I should apply or study more first? 😔

      if you have network experience go for a CNAA cert or AWS. My husband has his CNAA and is Network engineer. he self taught himself and studied to pass all certs and have been in the field for 12yrs and makes over 6figures. He said A NOC position is a good starting point position

    Very informative. Thank you!
    Also, you should include women in your jargon. You specifically keep saying "IT guys".
    I've been doing IT for 2 years and I have a bachelor's degree in Information Systems Technology, and am building a career towards Data Science.
    Women are in technology + science.

    Desktop support translates to you being a verbal punching bag by customers for problems other techs and managers avoid like the plague.. desktop support nowadays is no different then being a McDonald's employee at lunchtime rush. There are way better careers than this garbage. I have 8 certs, blew almost 85k on a degree.. it's a joke...

      If you have 8 certs and think the job is no different than working at McDonald's you might be working at McDonald's
