- 48 hours later, and people are still talking about the mess The Rock made on WWE SmackDown by taking Cody Rhodes' WrestleMania 40 Main Event spot away from him. Now reports are out that The Rock is even pushing for himself to beat Roman Reigns, and win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. Internally, this hasn't gone over well with several saying that The Rock is undermining the story, and the fanbase with his ego.

Dwayne Johnson has shown to me over the years that he carries himself, and is trained in a way to conduct himself very much like a politician; Able to cloud the cold blooded nature of how he conducts business through his charisma and persona. It makes him more destructive from an influence standpoint if he lacks the ability to humble himself and step back, or to accept dissenting opinions to his decisions.
Since we learned about Dwayne's ego and what transpired with DC, he's now back in WWE and we're now witnessing the same traits.

By throwing Cody against Seth,the Rock has not only screwed some Raw superstars out of a world title match,he's also potentially screwing the women out of a main event match,especially Bayley and Iyo
Dwayne couldn’t destroy the DC Movie Universe so now he has to destroy a younger star’s career. Half of Dwayne vs Roman is gonna have to be on an oxygen tank since Dwayne will sucking up so much air, the front row will be gasping. Wrestling may be the only form of entertainment that actively hates its audience.
The Rock went over Triple H's head. There is no way HHH would book this buildup for the last two years and then suddenly give the spot to The Rock. If I was HHH, I would be absolutely pissed.

He has a merchandise and wrestling contract within it, I think.
Rock only has to convince Ari it will make more money. The other board members are immaterial. Ari most likely could care less about wrestling storylines long term, he just wants whatever will make the most money. He also obviously doesn't see Cody as a big star on the same level as someone like Punk.

It would be an epic salvage if they had Punk assume a “Mickey/ Apollo” role in this story. He comes out and berates Cody for giving up his spot culminating in Cody showing up at Mania. Not only showing up but taking on Roman.
But have the Bloodline throw a gauntlet in and turn Rock into the last obstacle before Cody wins the belt.
They could potentially salvage this in such a way where they would not only set up Cody as “the guy” but also set up future storylines.
Too bad they won’t.
I hope Cody didn't speak to Arn Anderson for advice. I would hate to think Arn gave some advice about pulling out a Glock.

Part of it wants me to believe he’s not a scumbag like that and would have respect for Cody and his father enough to step back and let him be the one to defeat Roman. this reigns match up should’ve took place like 3-4 wrestle mania’s ago or he should’ve faced brock instead. No one cares to see his overrated old ass wrestle anyways. he brings nothing new to the table we’ve seen his best matches against John cena twice already and the one against Austin ages ago and he came back already once to win the wwe championship and they made new belt for his ass the current designs they have now infact 😂 what more does this dude want just stick to the action movies 😅

I was excited for WrestleMania on Friday at 9:40pm. Twenty minutes later I wasn't.
