I’m so happy for your success, Chris! You’re a constant reminder that a good heart & unquestionable work ethic can take you to wherever you want to go in life every time I click a video.
I wish Taker would do an episode just on the ministry version of undertaker - its never talked about but for me its the coolest iteration of the character
It's a sore spot for him. He wanted it to be his own thing, do more creatively with his character. But then they joined the Corporation and it went downhill. Too many guys involved, in the ring. It was just another road stop for the Austin vs Vince story. To him it almost felt like this cool idea he had and was looking forward to was high-jacked to put over a story that wasn't his and quite frankly, Austin vs Vince didn't need the Ministry to become intertwined in the first place. Also 1999 Taker was working hurt for most of it, which lead to him taking time off to heal up and then debuting the American Badass gimmick at Judgement Day 2000
I can listen to Taker all day long without getting bored and this is the biggest compliment i can give him and knowing the fact that he didn't speak for 30+ years yet he is so well spoken is the most surprising thing about him, other than being dead and his run as Mark Calaway.
I gotta say, I love that Taker isn't becoming like Flair. Careers like they have are hard to let go of some times, and it would have been absolutely heartbreaking to watch Taker cling to it and go way past his prime. He also has a dope podcast with decades of stories he can finally tell which is AWESOME.
Thanks for this, man, Undertaker always my favorite, got to meet him in 1996 before Wrestlemania XII. This was really cool getting to see a little behind the curtain. Excellent interview. Seen plenty before and look forward to what you got going next!
Started watching WWE in 99, Taker obvs being one of my two favorites. It's surreal that we're watching a post-retirement interview with the absolute GOAT now. Great interview, Chris!
Might be my all time favorite Insight podcast episode Chris!! A treat to listen to Undertaker speak with you, such a chill atmosphere, felt like two good friends hanging out. Simply phenomenal. Keep it up Chris! You’re the man. 😊🎧
Hats off Mr Calaway for reducing the amount of "You know"'s so drastically. There were some interviews a while ago where you said it more than twice a minute, to the point it was overshadowing the great stories you had to tell. Much respect. Not an easy habit to break.
You gotta understand. Taker was NEVER in front of a camera as Mark Calloway. Always as The Undertaker. Playing a character, you can speak flawlessly. Being yourself after all those years of playing a character, speaking in front of a camera, it’s hard. Especially to be unapologetically yourself after all that time. As he gets more comfortable being himself in front of a camera, it’ll go away completely.
30 years of no real promo work. Its understandable. Dude seems really shy unless hes gotta couple drinks. Introverted most definitely. Dudes 60 next year and still feels awkward infront of the cam like this. A testament to his kayfabe resolve over the years
I love this interview. I’ve been a loyal fan since late 1999- the Undertaker has always been my favorite wrestlers of all since becoming a fan. Undertaker was interviewed so many times since the past several years after retiring. But, CVV asks the questions from a long term hardcore fan’s perspective on items that we always wondered about that others don’t normally ask. Major kudos to CVV for taking one for the long term fans, including the smaller details that nobody else would bring up to Mark.
This didn’t disappoint! - thank you Chris for this :) - you kept thanking Taker for all he’s done, and he’s done amazing stuff, but you’re so likeable and ask ‘THE’ questions, thank you.
Firstly and mainly Taker is so much better at this podcasting/media thing than he gives himself credit for. We absolutely want to hear everything he has to say. Second - This is the best interview I’ve ever heard from Taker post retirement and it comes as NO surprise that it was on CVV. You are awesome, Chris!
Chris, your interview with The Undertaker was truly insightful! It’s fascinating to hear his thoughts on WrestleMania 40 and the potential heel turn for Cody. His perspective on Brock Lesnar and retirement adds so much depth to our understanding of the wrestling world. Thanks for sharing these moments with us!
@@dgeneratio1I believe there's a short talk about back then there's a company goal to make Undertaker to break he was pissed and he told Vince that he absolutely refuse to do spinaroonie in that segment
Never thought I’d see Undertaker being interviewed by Chris. This one is for the books. Wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes one of his most viewed videos ever.
When the gong hit at Mania, I was jumping up and down in my living room (it's been 4:30 AM at that time and I think I woke up my neighbors) but holy hell it was such an amazing moment. Mark has been my hero since I started watching, have his cross tattooed on my arm and he helped me through tough times in my life. Thanks for that, even though you don't know anything about it. Love you man. And Chris, amazing job! Such a great one on one!
Chris, you asked questions on the smallest details of the Undertaker and his career that nobody's ever asked before, questions I've always wanted to know the answers to. This is evidence of how true of a fan you are man. Kudos! Thanks for this interview!
This may have been the most enjoyable interview I’ve watched. Very well done, Mark seems to vibe with you very well. Brought a lot out of him, again great watch!
I turned on notifications. I could listen to Undertaker tell stories all day long. I remember sometime in 91 my dad was watching wrestling, and the first show I watched had Taker wrestling Hogan. That was my first image of wrestling.
Their will NEVER be another Mark Calaway in this business. He truly is one of a kind. Which is why i personally feel he was made into the locker room leader he was and to some extent still is. I've been following his career since his first match with Bruiser Brody down in Texas. And as a fan of 40+yrs in this business and also doing some marketing for a local indy fed on the side. I can truly say i knew then that this guy was "extra special" seeing him at his size move in the ring. I think his basketball background heightened that greatly in terms of his agility. Anytime your playing an athletic sport that just sets the bar higher for you in this business. Whether your coming from basketball or football. I think he's looking great for someone close to 60. And i'm glad he's enjoying his retirement he truly deserves every single bit of it. I wouldn't want to see him back in the ring at this stage of his life. I think as Kevin Nash put it he's done everything there is to do in this business. And so it's time to spend the remaining years with his wife and family in terms of giving back to them. And i'm glad he's doing that now. He's left a huge impact and mark on this business and set a bar so very high. It will be difficult for someone else to ever come close to what he's accomplished. But being a bit selfish here i hope know one ever does because that should be reserved for Mark alone.
Can you imagine growing up a wrestling fan, only to have a show where you interview wrestling legends that is sponsored by wrestling legends? Living the dream.
Been watching 6 feet undertaker pretty chill. didn’t expect to see him get emotional. Cvv taps into that frequency just by having a great convo. Not forced. Sanatas interview few weeks ago was intense too.
Mark Calaway (The Undertaker) has from day 1, been my favorite wrestler of all time. In my eyes he is The GOAT. I will be 50 years old in August, the 12th to be exact. I would give anything on this earth to get the chance to meet him just one time. To sit and talk about the old days, would be a dream come true. Can't count how many WWE shows I been to, saw him wrestle but never got that chance to meet him. Like I said, I would give anything. Being the emotional person I am, I would probably cry like a big baby. There is 4 people that I would give anything to meet and Mark is number 1 on that list, then followed by WSM Eddie Hall, and two arm wrestlers Devon Larrat and Monster Michael Todd. Oops, it should be 5, I forgot one, WSM Brian Shaw. These 5 gentlemen saved my life, literally. I will not rest until I can shake all of these hands but especially Mark Calaway.
Chris, your and Six feet under are the only podcasts I watch. I see you in me cause it's just a major fan living his dream. My dream is to meet Mark. I'm just hoping he is still doing his one man show next time they come to New Orleans for Mania.

Man I’m not much for interviews, but after all these years Chris keeps me coming back, thank you for all the great interviews Chris, hella cool you got to chat with the undertaker
Taker doing the Paul bearer voice is just what I needed today lol
Man Chris, having a two hour chat with The Undertaker must be a dream come true, seriously good on you, your passion made you one of the best workers and thanks for all of your interviews!
I’m so happy for your success, Chris! You’re a constant reminder that a good heart & unquestionable work ethic can take you to wherever you want to go in life every time I click a video.
Thank you so much!
So this is the Undertaker's gym he was mentioning on his podcast.
It’s a bad ass gym!
Badass not bad ass which means 🍑
Chris, was this your idea to do your interview in his Gym? Either way, good idea to do this where it all started for Taker.
@@trendmassacre8423It didn’t start from this gym for Taker he’s only had this gym for a cpl years!
Glad he’s got a Roy Keane shirt in the background 😂😂
Man he looks to be in great shape! So happy to see him enjoying life
“ NO! I threw it” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣so amazing
That Paul Bearer story was GOLDEN!! 😂😂😂 awesome interview CVV!!
I wish Taker would do an episode just on the ministry version of undertaker - its never talked about but for me its the coolest iteration of the character
Totally agree. Was always my fave version too. That outfit he had at Wrestlemania 15 was just so good, with the cloak and the shoulder things
Also 1999 Taker was working hurt for most of it, which lead to him taking time off to heal up and then debuting the American Badass gimmick at Judgement Day 2000
He just dropped one
This was absolutely fantastic. Thanks Chris! And Taker, of course.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Chris tonight you're gunna go one on one with The Undertaker playa
👀😭
If chris was takers co-host would probably be best podcast of all time
Yeah
I'll be honest I don't ever turn notifications on but yes sir I will for this one
ok this is amazing now I want sting the icon yes other I do not put notes on this one is amazing
YESS CVV Sting interview next
Sting would be killer
CVV work ethic is impeccable! You’ve literally built an empire and interviewing the phenom is just the cherry on top of the wrestling sundae.
I can listen to Taker all day long without getting bored and this is the biggest compliment i can give him and knowing the fact that he didn't speak for 30+ years yet he is so well spoken is the most surprising thing about him, other than being dead and his run as Mark Calaway.
so funny when the undertaker said to that fan in australia and tell them to get a life hahaha
DAMN!!! Nearly two hours? This is going to be AWESOME!!!
This legit might of been your best interview to date. Taker is just so awesome and relatable. I felt like yall could of went of for another 2 hours 🙌🏽
It so cool seeing how open and vulnerable Taker has gotten on your podcast and his own. Both have been phenomenal!
Thanks for this, man, Undertaker always my favorite, got to meet him in 1996 before Wrestlemania XII. This was really cool getting to see a little behind the curtain. Excellent interview. Seen plenty before and look forward to what you got going next!
I would never get bored of listening Taker telling his stories and talking about his career. It's just so interesting.
Mark Calaway one of thee best wrestlers and legends of all time ....... Let's go Taker
Started watching WWE in 99, Taker obvs being one of my two favorites. It's surreal that we're watching a post-retirement interview with the absolute GOAT now. Great interview, Chris!
Dude, you have such a Gene Okerlund vibe. The wrestling world needs you. Keep it up
SNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNES DRUNK!!!
What an honor for Mark to return the favor and do an interview for you. You know you made it big when Taker does a job for you.
Man bro it was rough at first lol Mr. Mark "Y'know" Calaway
I know. I know
30 years of no real promo work. Its understandable. Dude seems really shy unless hes gotta couple drinks. Introverted most definitely. Dudes 60 next year and still feels awkward infront of the cam like this. A testament to his kayfabe resolve over the years
This podcast was the best iv watched in ages. I grew up on undertaker
The Coat might be the most underrated superstar in WWE history
Vacant vs Coat at Mania 41
Coat = Goat
...okayyyyy 🤨
I love this interview. I’ve been a loyal fan since late 1999- the Undertaker has always been my favorite wrestlers of all since becoming a fan. Undertaker was interviewed so many times since the past several years after retiring. But, CVV asks the questions from a long term hardcore fan’s perspective on items that we always wondered about that others don’t normally ask. Major kudos to CVV for taking one for the long term fans, including the smaller details that nobody else would bring up to Mark.
Taker one of the best interviews in the business, happy he started doing more of these + creating his own podcast this is the stuff we need
This didn’t disappoint! - thank you Chris for this :) - you kept thanking Taker for all he’s done, and he’s done amazing stuff, but you’re so likeable and ask ‘THE’ questions, thank you.
Enjoyed the Six Feet Under interview. I'm watching this interview now. I'm loving it!
My buddies and I used to call him "the Undietaker: Taker of Undies" and got an absolute riot out of it. Thanks for the memories
My favorite wrestler. Love this interview
I love the gesture you made Chris when you said "But it's not Shawn's Sweet Chin music" 💔
2 Hours That Felt like 30 Minutes, Amazing Interview as Always, Undertaker Stories are so funny and interesting to listen too.
This is my favorite episode
I've seen a lot of Taker interviews. This is the best one. Very enjoyable. Very respectful. Thank you, CVV.
The Undertaker seems like an awesome human being
Chris, your interview with The Undertaker was truly insightful! It’s fascinating to hear his thoughts on WrestleMania 40 and the potential heel turn for Cody. His perspective on Brock Lesnar and retirement adds so much depth to our understanding of the wrestling world. Thanks for sharing these moments with us!
Chris PLEASE ask him about the higher power storyline and who he wanted it to be. For some reason every single interviewer doesn’t talk about this.
Also the Taker-Roonie angle. Been an enjoyable 2 hours.
@@dgeneratio1I believe there's a short talk about back then there's a company goal to make Undertaker to break he was pissed and he told Vince that he absolutely refuse to do spinaroonie in that segment
@@dgeneratio1I thought for sure he'd ask about the taker-roonie
Has he ever discussed his 2002 match with hulk and the chokeslam?
Another awesome interview Chris..with the one and only Undertaker. Thank you both!
I love listening to the Undertaker.
Chris, you asked questions on the smallest details of the Undertaker and his career that nobody's ever asked before, questions I've always wanted to know the answers to. This is evidence of how true of a fan you are man. Kudos! Thanks for this interview!
This is going to make my day go by much faster and much better! Thank you for another amazing guest!
And thank you for being here!
it's so surreal seeing mark calloway being such a cool and down to earth guy...this the same dude i was scared of as a little kid
I've never turn on notifications for any videos but for this I just clicked it as fast as a cheetah 😂
27:00 Finally, after all those years YOU sir asked the Undertaker the Microphone question. RESPECT!
Undertaker must be a general manager of smackdown... He will run the show beautifully
Great privilege to here Undertaker in a proper 1 to 1 interview. Greatest gimmick character in wrestling history bar none! Thank you, Mark.
Amazing interview taker is hilarious
This may have been the most enjoyable interview I’ve watched. Very well done, Mark seems to vibe with you very well. Brought a lot out of him, again great watch!
the fact that you guys shot this in a different location as when He interviewed you is commitment
The one and only "Undertaker" my childhood idol ❤, you're a legend man, thanks for making my childhood awesome!!
Father Time is undefeated. Only the Undertaker can end his streak.
Poured myself a double Jack for this one. Cheers CVV and Taker. 🥃
Cheers! 🥃
Sending a prayer up and speaking it into the universe- you WILL get to share Taker's hand! We're manifesting it❤
Chris. You are by far the best to do interviews. God bless you. You ask the right questions and let them answer it without interruption. You are the man Chris!
The Undertaker always be the greatest and the Top character and wrestler of professional wrestling !
