Being a veteran myself and African American..Ali was totally justified in his refusal for military at that time. Blacks were not treated equal, we were not seen as equals. We didn't have the same rights, or freedoms in civilian or military world..but yet we could be asked to die and support a nation that viewed us as less than it was a horrible condrum of a situation damned if you do damned if you don't...I don't agree or disagree with the decision but can completely relate to the rationalization, facts are facts..you remember what happened to joe Louis at the end
Facts, all those people judging Ali for not going wouldn’t go themselves. Y’all a bunch of hypocrites. Black people were treated like shit in the army. They served their country and came home and was told they couldn’t eat, sleep or visit certain locations in this country because of their skin color, so let’s not make him out to be the bad guy without addressing the root cause of the problem.

@tylercox1875 Yeah, it makes sense. It's less about age and more about the fact it's the undertaker lol
I dont either after that wm match? Why is he so over? That match was ass... i hope priest demolishes his dumbass
I'm so glad that The Undertaker was finally able to get closure on his career with that night. There was always this feeling of something missing since there were no fans in his last match, but this appearance combined with it being in one of the most important storylines in recent years, definitely wrapped things up nicely.
When the first bell hit, I fell backwards. I was screaming like a schoolgirl the next 5 minutes saying "Get em, Taker!"
I love how Mark said it wasn’t about him and gave everyone else the credit for everything that happened. Mark you are my hero. You are the only person that I rewatch every day and you are always a legend and also a legend of WrestleMania. No one will never ever replace you. You are my favorite and you’re the only FINAL BOSS!! It so so so AMAZING to see you! I am still so happy that you were there! WrestleMania isn’t the same without you and I felt it until you came out! Whenever I think about this WrestleMania you coming back and Cody winning the championship is my favorite moment ever!!❤️❤️
The Deadman cometh
Michael Cole added so much more to that moment🔥🔥🔥
Awesome recap! Thanks for sharing those stories! Also glad Taker got some closure. Can't imagine what it's like, chasing a high like that
I’m 43. My brother is 6 years older than me. I grew up being a test dummy to him copying every move he saw on those payperviews back in the day. I love this so much. I Hulk Hogan’d him first time he tried a tombstone on me. This modern nostalgia in the business is just what was needed.
Jesus was ur bro about 18 wen he was tombstoneing u 😂
@@unicornkatie8566 I’m pretty sure I Had every finisher from the 80s and early 90s done to me at some point. And I used to cry like a little bitch and fake that it hurt more than it did so he would get in trouble. Basically I pulled a Hogan no matter what he did to me, lol
First of all don't do this to anyone
This podcast is so underrated, please never give up on it!
Deadman is always a great thing to experience been watching Mark since Memphis as always Taker thanks for another great memory
Taker.... Man when that bong hit, I lost my shit! You're absolutely right, it was 98 all over again instantly.. And yeah, Rock is certainly a wrestler at heart. I'm back interested AGAIN, haven't been much more than a casual since 'Mania 30. But how they did DB after, made me lose interest quickly.
I heard stone cold couldn’t agree on a deal to appear, come on Steve, you let us down.. but taker and cena stepped up
Steve has to find farm hands to take care of his animals
@SomeDudeOnTheInternet75 I wouldn't have thought that it had been an issue for him, really..
I mean Austin did walk out because he refused to put over Brock Lesnar, he's always been in business for himself above everything else.
@@roaming.spectre. Austin 3:16
@@vct454Austin also pinned The Rock 7-8 times before Rock even got a pin on him lol Austin also went over The Rock 2 months straight at WrestleMania and Backlash in 99 lol
As a US army infantry veteran I agree that we like to argue about anything.. LoL.. Mark, My idol...u okay in my book. Thanks for the memories...hua!!!🔥🔥🔥😂
It was great to see the undertaker he still got it..
Crazy how what taker says about it giving him clarity and closure is literally like the most beautiful thing. He really got to heal while dawning a new era. So happy for this guy who literally gave me something to be excited for as a kid. Deserves that clarity in life. Nobody throws a shoot punch like take tho.
Thank you Undertaker. We were all expecting the glass shatter so when I heard the 'bong' I legit popped at home and woke my wife up lol! I'm 41 lol
Kudos to Muhammad Ali for not going to Vietnam, no more foreign wars! Sick of the United States fighting for everyone but it's own citizens!
The comment I was looking for 👍🏻
@@scottelement The old "We fight them over there so we don't have to fight them over here!" Line doesn't work for me anymore BROTHER! Let any of them try to attack us HERE, see how that works out for them.
Yeah they kept dancing around the fact that black people were being treated as second class citizens and that’s part of the reason WHY Muhammad Ali didn’t fight in the war
He was making big money worming hard being a top athlete and they wanna send him to war..yeah f that 😊
@@56Terrance Who was dancing around it? Taker?
Been watching wrestling for 40yrs, that might have been the most fun time watching in a very long time. R-truth bringing it Saturday and the sunday finale. What more could you want from wrestling show 🤙
Popped hard when you came out Wrestlemania. Locker room leader coming out to protect the boys and make it even from the Bloodline cheating to make it Bloodline Rules.
Glad to hear you’ve found that last piece you needed to have closure Taker. You deserve that more than anything. Thank you for all the time and memories you’ve given us ⚰️⚱️
“You’re a Democrat.” Not me just about rolling around laughing while hanging out laundry.
Take is the goat and will always be the goat. The reaction he got was a big testament of how much his fans adore him and appreciate him.And how much the other wrestlers respect him. Thank you taker
Undertaker the Legend 🙌
Undertaker is WWE A Legendary Hero to people like Me I haven't watched WWE in forever Thank You Mark
I said the same thing. Truer words have never been spoken
Ur still not viewed as equals 😂
Facts, all those people judging Ali for not going wouldn’t go themselves. Y’all a bunch of hypocrites. Black people were treated like shit in the army. They served their country and came home and was told they couldn’t eat, sleep or visit certain locations in this country because of their skin color, so let’s not make him out to be the bad guy without addressing the root cause of the problem.
@Ameer-cw3qg you know Ali is dead right?
@@ocsjc13 wheres the humour in that statement..though true.
The Taker’s appearance in Wrestlemania XL will go down in history as the iconic moment that none of us saw coming and now will never forget 👏🏻
Taker is the GOAT
Dude literally needed his wm moment one more time. I knew the boneyard match didnt feel nostalgic. He needed that live reaction from the crowd. The same thing i felt for drew mctyre. Felt bad the dude losing his title 5 minutes later.
20+ year Philadelphia resident and Reading Terminal Market is food destination for locals and tourists. Nearly impossible to get a bad meal there. The backstage after Mania, I can't imagine... High emotions for Cody, and for Roman being able to let it all go. Incredible performances all the way around. So glad I was there. Haven't watched anything wrestling since 1991.
I feel like a lot of us "older-but-not-OLD" guys (late 30s-40s) are in the exact same boat.. been watching casually the past few months, getting more into it for the first time in YEARS, and then when I was invited by a friend to Wrestlemania, I was like.. hell yeah!
This was the first Wrestlemania I've seen (not counting rewatching older ones) since 26 or 27.. well over a Decade.
And it was a few years before that when I stopped watching consistently.
But this Wrestlemania was just amazing, the lead up to it, everything has just got my attention again.. and just like Matt, I've started watching Raw & Smackdown again, instead of just reading/watching the occasional highlights online.
Wrestling is indeed back.
The Undertaker is the final judge and jury, no matter who they put on a trailer. No one else could have fit that role. Bravo!!
Nice to hear Mark talk about closure and the build up and execution of his Mania appearance.
Turns out Mohammed Ali was right about not going to Veitnam. The reason we went there was a lie.
So happy you got that closure. I know it’s been hard. You’ve been entertaining us for 30 plus years.
Been waiting to see you talk about the wrestle mania
The greatest of all time no theme, no character no NOTHING will ever top The Undertaker. When to gong hit im 36 and i was a kid again, this one hit different. Thank you for all you've done for the business and a huge part of my childhood
It took one chokeslam to destroy blood line
Team rock v team roman at SS 🥵
Destroy..... Is a bit much lol 🤣
It was entertaining YES..
Glad To See Mark ❣️
Glad he made it more Pop
