The occasional screen glitch with Crowley's picture was an excellent touch.
It'd be great if they said " what glitch?".
I thought it was my brain flipping out..
I never noticed a glitch 😮
I came here just for this in case it was me
i thought my PC was taking a dump lol, i even refreshed the page
I have always been fascinated about Aleister Crowley and his Boleskine Manor...🤟😎
so as jimmy page
Definitely gives a classic “Dark Shadows” vibe with the house on the hill and a cemetery right near the property.
I have travelled around Scotland, and I have to say, you guys have done wonderful justice to the vibe and feel of the place. Yes, there is some ancient spooky magic in that land. It's gorgeous.
I hope they get to the West Coast its absolutely magical
I have Irish ancestry, but I have ALWAYS felt a deep affinity for all things Scottish: TOOL KILTS, BAGPIPES, "ROWDY" RODDY PIPER, BIG COUNTRY, SHEENA EASTON, ETC.
I am a multi-instrumentalist and my next instrument will be: "The Highland Bagpipes!" 😀 Actually, since I am moving into a condominium and do not want to disturb my neighbors, I am purchasing a "Blair Digital Chanter" that I can play through my headphones! 😊
My dream is to go to Scotland. I would love to see some bands from there...like Belle & Sebastian and Arab Strap. One day, one day.... ✌💛
@@benjaminhawthorne1969 That's really cool! I have a neighbor who plays the sax (not very well) but I enjoy it actually. Anyone with a musical instrument enjoying their hobby gives me a warm feeling....play away ✌💛🎶🎵🎶
Music makes me happy like NOTHING else in the world! Well, being in LOVE is a close 2nd! 😍@@helpis0ntheway
It's been great to see your adventures in Scotland, being a Scot i'm all too aware of just how much legend and myth is in every corner of the land. But Loch Ness in particular is a spooky, eerie place....from Nessie, to Boleskine, to the tales of tunnels under the graveyard, medieval witches, demons on the loose in Foyers due to Crowleys dark Magick...it's great fun :)
Ach Aye !!! Born in Glasgow maself, I havnae been since 1975.
Great video! I have a piece of the old Boleskine House. The people rebuilding it offered pieces of it for £30 donations to the project. So far, I haven't noticed any strange phenomena.
I was just looking at that - you can buy a piece of charred wood, slate, sandstone or other type of stone. I'm tempted! I like a curio. Good way for the Foundation to raise £ too.
@@juliew1824 You get a nice little certificate of authenticity with it, too. My piece is from a wall. One side is charred by the fire, and the other is a yellowish limestone colour. I want to frame it or put it in a display case. It's a bit too big for framing, sadly.
@@juliew1824 Absolutely, and unfortunately after a fire as severe as the the last one, there isn't any way for the old stone or slatework to be re-introduced to the new building,
It's simply burnt so hot that the stone becomes structurally unsound and cant be reused.
I believe they are doing a similar auctioning off for the renovations at Notre Dame Cathedral.
This could be the start of a collection !
tell your dad , I went to see led zeppelin in the late 1970s in Chicago . a great concert .
I saw Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck at Hammersmith Odeon..and at Knebworth shortly before Bonham died..that was so sad.
Jimmy page was driving towards us in his Rolls Royce through Richmond Park, too once! {He had a beard then}
I had a sneaky feeling after your last video...the next one may be the Boleskine House!! So happy for this one as a huge Zeppelin fan! GREAT work on all your UK videos. Absolutely loved your message Michael in your last video-go! So true. What separates Michael and Jessica apart from so many other vlogers is that they take the time to soak up every location they visit. Happy Hollidays and can't wait for more videos in 2024!
Must agree 👍 with your comment 🏴
pretty lame the people wouldn't let them see the house...I can tell they are really bummed
@@highdesertbiker yes, I cant imagine telling someone they cant do something unless it were a life or death thing; the goal of every human should be to try to never tell others what they can & cant do. Rules should be a very last resort.
@@joejones9520Ya totally. Some rules are ok though, and some things we can all mostly agree upon. Such as don't rob me or walk up to a random person and punch them. That's kind of like unspoken rules that you sometimes have to speak. You know what I'm saying?
@@joejones9520it’s private property. That’s too damn bad. If someone doesn’t want you there they don’t want you there. Thats their land and you have no right to be there. They asked the people said no and that’s that. What are you 10 not liking rules. Lol.
Fascinating walkabout, much respect to you for abiding by the wishes of the current property owners.
That whole area looks like another place in time
I LOVE the 'blipverts' of Aleister Crowley at the start! At first I thought I was going mad, or that my laptop was about to crash!! And how many people noticed your clever trick in the Edinburgh cemetery with the guy wearing that mask for a split second that my American g/f Jen noticed?! Fantastically creepy job! You surpass yourself with each video in the UK! 🖤☠🖤💀🖤☠🖤💀🖤☠🖤💀🖤

Theres a story passed through my family that Crowley was the one that opened the gate for Nessie to come through into our world. Love this channel so much!👻
😮
Since the earliest report of a monster dates back to AD 565 that's a bit doubtful...
@@geewat Yeah, Nessie sightings were reported long before Crowley lived at Boleskine.
@@villanelle8888 I figured it was just a story. I never found any proof.

to the most excellent Grimms................Do What Thy Wilt, Shall Be The Whole Of The Law !
Kudos to you for mentioning the Abramelin Operation. It is an 18 month ritual and Crowley tried to do it in only 6 months. Part of the ritual includes summoning the Dukes and Princes of Hell and binding them under the magician's will. This is the part of the ritual that many people think that Crowley left unfinished.
I recommend the movie "A dark song" as its a fictionized story of the Abramelin Operation
I plan on watching that movie.

Fantastic episode! I am a donor/supporter of Boleskine House Foundation and it has been amazing what they have been able to rebuild and preserve as part of the Boleskin House. I encourage folks interested further in Boleskine to read up on the Foundation. You can even purchase burned/unsalvageable pieces of wood and granite from the original house.
I would love to see.... as well as the rest of us....🙂 how you and your friends are updating Boleskien Manor..... Would you be willing to upload a video to a RUclips channel?

@@Amanda.J.Carver000.0 Boleskin House is so much more than Crowley. It has a rich and long history.
This was amazing. I'm beginning to realise that there is so much for you to see while you are over here. In the Led Zeppelin film The Song Remains The Same, the house that Jimmy Page owned for a long time, and is at where he is sitting on the lawn playing the hurdy-gurdy in the movie, is at Plumpton just outside of Brighton. We'd often see him in Brighton wandering around The Lanes. And the ancient Elizabethan manor that Peter Grant owned, also in the movie, is just 20 minutes drive from the Jimmy Page house. Then there is Nottingham, with the pub called Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem, dating from 1189, with it's cursed galleon in a glass case. Everyone that has ever handled it has died within weeks. You'll love it here.

@@TNrooster Excellent! Don't forget to visit Charing Cross Road and Denmark Street, and read up all the music history of those places. Don't be afraid to wander into the guitar shops and chat, because these guys are just like us. Then visit The Blue Posts pub in Kingly Street (next to Carnaby Street) and get a beer. Great Episode!👏👏Jimmy Page climbed a mountain 🏔during his violin bow solo in „the song remains the same“. That mountain is behind the house.👍🙏🏻🎸

🎵 Mr Crowley, what went on in your head?
Oh Mr Crowley, did you talk to the dead? 🎵.
Loving the UK sites, Suicide Bridge, Loch Ness , HighGate Cemetery and Crowley's infamous ritual house are exactly where I'd love to go over there, lucky to be there. Enjoy your trip and take as much sites and history as you can. Hopefully more to come!!
👹 Was so hoping you would do a video on "The Wickedest Man In The World". I enjoy doing subject searches and watching your extensive library but this European sojourn has taken your filming to a whole new level. Much love and respect...
The glitching of Aleister Crowley had me tripping. I watched that portion of the video 3 times to make sure nothing crazy was going on! Nicely done 🤘🏻
Glad to see the house has a roof back on it. Kind of glad to see the heightened security measures tbh
Scotland is beautiful and so much history! Thank you for sharing!
Another great ep, oh, and those are roads (or the small rural ones, 'lanes'), not streets. 'streets' tend to be urban, with pavements etc. ;) But I digress. Keep 'em coming you two! Speaking of Led Zepp, did you get to see 'Bron Yr Aur' while in Wales? I think it's a bed and breakfast now?
The house is situated on a B Road, the B852.
Your dad has great taste in music. I absolutely love Led Zeppelin and their song Stairway to Heaven is my favorite rock song. Jimmy Page is one of the best guitarists. Boleskine House sounds very interesting.
They can go by Jimmy’s London home when they return. It’s in Hollsnd Park. Called the Tower House.
I’ve been there in June 1980 and stayed in a B&B in Killeen Scotland but never knew about Bolskine. ..interesting place…thank you for this…it’s Annie from New Brunswick Canada 🇨🇦
Great video. Thanks. As a Led Zeppelin fan living in England, I've had a long-time fascination with Boleksine House and intended to visit for many years, without ever getting round to it. One interesting story that came out in a recent book was that Jimmy Page hosted fellow Crowley fan and rock superstar Ritchie Blackmore at the house in the early 1970s. Oh, to be a fly on the wall for that meeting of the two enigmatic guitar wizards.
Honestly this give me the chills. I JUST learned about this house two days ago and was literally going to ask you guys if you've ever been there. Its weird how connected we all are sometimes.
So glad you made it across the Loch to Boleskine House
It’s currently being renovated & I will be returning at some point
I had Mr Crowley by Ozzy stuck in my head the whole time I was watching this. 🤘💀
You two have outdone yourselves on these amazing tours. I've learned a lot. Thanks🖤🖤
Given the history of the place I imagine you two are the most normal of the visitors it attracts
It's very peaceful looking
I would say, sad and scarryyy.
You guys will definitely have to make another trip back to Scotland in the summer sometime to do the Loch Ness and Boleskine House tour.
Great to see glimpses of the legendary Boleskine House!
Just as I came on.. first thing I saw was that huge beautiful, weeping willow tree.. and yep South Carolina has several roads like em,lol.. out in the country going into a river landing or ole houses.. awesome video 😎..
Thank you once again Mr. Grimm and Baby Ghoul for keeping me from doing any work. I enjoyed this video immensely even if you could not get onto the property. The cemetery alone was worth it. Thank you for taking me to the country of my mother.
Crowley & his works have always been a point of interest for me. Extremely cool that you got to see this area up close, walk the cemetery, and perhaps you can revisit sometime after it reopens. You guys also need an old grainy black and white camera to take some pics of you guys at some of these places. Sending love and spiderwebs from across the pond. Cheers!!!
This is so cool another trip to view the house when done would be amazing ❤😊

Thanks for taking us on these trips to new places! Love em!
nice guys! its beau! i spoke to you guys in the graveyard in whittby! lots of love safe travels! x
Cool video dude. I live about a half hours drive away and have been fascinated by this place for years, mainly due to a love of rock music and heavy metal, a fascination with the occult and obviously the house’s links to Led Zeppelin and Aleister Crowley and have visited with friends many times.
We would creep up to the windows and peer inside and be in awe of the old fashioned elaborate decor within. There was always a weird feel about the place….maybe just because we knew the history of it, but it was almost tangible, thick, still and silent save from the caw of crows and the breeze in the trees.
A couple of strange things happened while there…..a white horse suddenly appeared, while we were approaching the house from the field to the right of the house and really startled us, late one summer evening….just before dusk. It just stood there snorting, staring at us before galloping off after a minute or two….probably totally coincidental, but as we hadn’t noticed it on entering the field and with it just suddenly appearing, not twenty feet in front of us, it did strike us as very weird and ethereal thing to happen…..it was only sometime afterwards I thought of Ozzy’s song, Mr Crowley and the mention of a white horse! Pretty cool huh but weird as fuck, right? 😮😮
Also, one night while it was dark, we were parked on the road you walked along in the film, in front of the house and a passenger in the rear seat noticed what looked like someone approaching the car….well we were somewhat spooked at this and I started to drive off and stopped a few yards farther along and waited to see if he/she…it? followed but they disappeared into the darkness…..where to we could not work out, into the cemetery? The gatehouse? We couldn’t tell.
We also climbed into the building you described as a morgue, in the cemetery and there was two levels inside, with a very small loft type area and I think I remember some very old digging/gardening type tools, so we assumed it was a groundskeeper’s building.
After it burned down the last time, me and my girlfriend walked through the ruins and the atmosphere and ambience were very spooky, there were old ornaments and household items strewn all over the place and some rooms still standing but very fire and smoke damaged, beds, chairs etc….it was very dark and musty and had a sinister feeling. I have some photos from within the house after the fire and can mail them to you, if you are interested?
Cheers from Scotland and stay Grimm!! 🤘
We Appreciated this immensely! This Trip has been unbelievably cool Ty! Luv&Peace Mike & Jessica❤. Cheers Sean&family 🥂💫

I guess you answered my previous enquiry.😅 Should've known you'd hit the house. NICE!!!🙏

Spooky 👻 video! The cemetery is awesome! The Grimms Rock!
I would imagine if the Boleskine House burned down three times, maybe/potentially via vandalism, the owners might be a bit paranoid with people filming around the property, either because of the histories with Mr. Crowley, and/or Mr. Page. So I guess, the new owners might be understandably concerned?
it's a foundation and they can easily use surveillance cameras, etc..I think bc they're doing the restoration work
I blame you guys for my ever growing "places to travel to" list !
The cemetery at night with loch ness behind it must be incredible!

So great you got there. I remember you being in Scotland before and I commented that it would have been good to visit Boleskine House. Great video!!
"Holy moly, its Aleister Crowley." Great video!
I was hoping you guys would do Crowley. From what I've seen the house is now just a shell. It horrible that it was not protected and was burned twice. I have seen a video where trespassers were inside the house. It had a very 80's plaid vibe. Had to have been from the people who owned it after Page sold it. Page's London house, Tower House, is an amazing place as well.
Thats a lovely place, bet its very creepy @ night though. Great views & great history the Boleskin house has. Thanks for another excellent vid Michael & Jessica, Happy Halloween 🎃🎃🎃
Great Vlog Michael and Jessica. I’ve been to Boleskine Burial Ground about three or four times in the last 20 years, before the last fire, but even then the house was not accessible because it was a private home.
In the video you say that the small building in the cemetery that was cordoned off, was a mortuary, but I’m sure I remember reading at the time I was there, that it was for family members to stay in while their deceased loved ones grave settled, as grave robbing was a big thing way back.
I have been in that small building a few times. Inside it had a wooden staircase up to a mezzanine type floor, and on there was a small open fire place in the wall, which was covered in graffiti, mostly “666” and “Zoso” written everywhere. It was very small and cramped.
I’m not sure a mortuary would have a fire place, so I think the family staying to watch over the freshly dug grave might be correct. I hope this helps.
Great video. ✌🙏❤
