I first read of Albert Fish back in the early 1980s. It's funny that before the internet was around you literally had to stumble across this information, sometimes by accident. Terrible story, I remember being shocked by the details. I also remember my girlfriend at the time had her grandmother tell me the story of how a strange old man tried to lure her away from a group of friends when she was a child. Same time period, and in Buffalo, NY. I've always wondered if she had encountered Fish.

It didn't take too long for me to find the address, and when you look at Zillow, the Price History is interesting. Could it be the current owners have been trying to sell, make some money...and then prospective buyers realize the horror that lived there? Of all the horrific stories I've read or heard about, Albert Fish sits securely atop the list. The letter he wrote and sent to that little girl's mother is hands-down....(five minutes later)....words fail me. I must also admit I find it really surprising that there has been no film (to my knowledge) that's accurately depicted him. That such a monster can reside in the tiny, seemingly frail body of an old man is so much worse than the hulking murderers the horror genre thrives on.

Some can not contain or control it. I would have liked to heard Albert speak about his crimes and try to understand how it all was justified in his mind. The dark places that could take a person. Wow! That part was kind of spooky when you said " an end was the murder of a little girl by the name of Grace Budd" then the wind blew your hair. The wind gust was perfect timing IMHO. That was alittle chiiling... 👻

Where were the parents??? There are foul winds that move through the night watching and waiting, so know where your children are at so that when the wind creeps through an unexpected window, there shall be no mourning!! If not, who is truly the one to blame???

The both of you did something amazing in capturing the horror of this evil while still sharing Grace’s story and keeping that poor girl in our prayers. I learned about this monster back in the 70s and do not wish to give him any more publicly. Yet sharing these stories helps to keep people aware that evil does exist. Thank you so much for your continued professionalism and care.

One of my long time buddies is named Albert Fish. He's probably the funniest person I've ever known. I'll share one "Blue" anecdote that came from his hilarious old Dad.
In their small town there was a very disliked individual. He just rubbed everybody the wrong way. When my buddies dad heard he had passed away, he said "Well . . . better late than never."
Best part is, the minister told that story AT my buddy's Dad's funeral : )
They were that kind of people. so adding some good to the Albert Fish legacies : )
    . . . . Al only killed us with his jokes ; )

Can you imagine buying that house, not knowing the history, and having hauntings and other paranormal activity--well, at least I hope not. I hope all of his victims have moved on, and this is proof that it really pays to look at the history of the house. Keeping history alive is right. I get chills whenever I think of what might have happened in the house.

    • @matthenry3437

Think of what might have happened??? Hmmm, hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil. To live by those words will only bring heartache, disgust, and pure horror! Horrible events took place in that bedroom. And not once did you acknowledge that and show sympathy for little Gracie... only a fascination with the paranormal, but again, no sympathy for little Gracie
