Loved your intro: "I don't want to go to prison', 'too bad, we're going to prison', 'no thanks." Very funny.
Yup, how can we not love these two? 💞
i loved it too
I love you’re channel I get to go to museaums like this lol I’m big on Bonnie and Clyde two thing I have in common with Clyde parents were sharecroppers youngest of 14 kids
Yeah I loved it too.
@@hanselmansell7555 so true, they're adorable. I love them.
I used to live near Houston and went to Sam Houston State for about a year. I'd usually take a back road to the university to avoid traffic off the main exits from I-45, and 'my' route would take me back by that cemetery. This was the mid-90s though, and there was absolutely nothing out there except the cemetery itself at the time. Thanks for another video - I really appreciate that you guys make these trips to document all of this, and so respectfully too.
Did you guys happen to make it down to Houston, in the 1960 area near 45? There's a Funeral Museum there. I used to work for SCI, a company that owned funeral homes, back in the late 90s and they ran the place. I had free access to the museum as an employee but never got a chance to check it out! I've no idea if it's still there or not.
this place called Captain Joe Byrd Cemetery and executed Texas death row inmates also buried here. Headstones of death row prisoners have prison numbers with the beginning “999”, a state designation for a death row inmate, or they have the letters "EX" or "X. For instance, some of the executed inmate burials of members of the Texas Seven
That was awesome all those items on display and old sparky !, I watched the confessions killer really interesting seeing the footage amaze balls guys , one day maybe you could do bundy , if you ever come to the UK 🇬🇧 I will point you in the direction of all the best unknown places in London happy Halloween 🦇
Ya Know in Some Prison Cemeteries...They Bury The Coffin Standing Up To Save Room? 😳I Always Thought That Was a Little Morbid lol...
I bet there was a few murderers who got away with cause he was falsely admitting to killing victims when he didn't
John Walsh thinks he killed his son Adam. I have to respectfully disagree. There's plenty of evidence it was Dahmer
I was part of a group of detectives in the 1990's that reviewed cold murder cases for the State of Missouri. A county Sheriff had interviewed Lucas about the murder of a young woman found stabbed to death along a rural road. The Sheriff said Lucas confessed to the killing and the case was closed; however, the DA did not file charges. My review of the case revealed that the Sheriff's investigators had shown Lucas the crime scene photos and Lucas was able to glean details of the murder from the investigators who were supposed to be interrogating him. The "confession" was video taped and provided a prime example of how Lucas was able to manipulate and extract details from the investigators. Lucas was then able to convince the all too eager investigators that Lucas knew details only the killer would know. All the while Lucas was hoaxing a multitude of investigators and detectives, he was getting special housing and food and celebrity status. The inexcusable and horrific result of his scam was that gullible detectives and those eager to quickly clear a murder case through Lucas' "confessions", allowed the real murderers to remain undetected and escape prosecution.
Hopefully, those cases will be reopened so that the true murderers can be brought to justice. Highly unlikely that HL committed all of them. HL seems like a narcissist who got supply from his notoriety.
The Texas Rangers detectives should've had more accountability for this big mess. The Rangers loved this fame. Shameful
That's a huge problem that they want to clear cases too fast, many innocent who have got caught that way by lazy investigation.
you would think they could have made up a crime using bits from other crimes just to test him.
@@rustycamper1785 I believe they saw this as a convenient way to close a murder case and they weren't going to look to critically at the story Lucas was telling.
I remember reading about an interview with Lucas where he tells the Japanese interviewer "Oh, I killed some in your country!" When the incredulous journalist asked Lucas how he got to Japan, Lucas laughs at the guy like he's an idiot and replied "Well, I drove there!"
Okay that is actually kinda funny, but Lucas did exploit a lot of very gullible people who I think were not necessarily dumb, and I wonder how he managed to do this for apparently a long time before people realized he's full of bs and decided to execute him...
My grandmother was a nurse on death row in Huntsville while he was incarcerated. I own two art works he made while in there, a clock and a box both made out of popsicle sticks. Fascinating case.
It's not art. its sick shit.
RIP to all of his victims ✌ 🕊 ♥ 💐 ☀ 💐 Happy Halloween 🦇.
Loved the opening........"We are going to prison." "But I don't want to go to prison." "Too bad, we are going to prison." Love the work you two do, keep it up.
Micheal Rooker playing him in Henry 1986 was Freaking crazy
His partner Oris Toole what a freak
This guy was a pathological liar, wanted attention and got it, he played everyone and got to travel and leave prison whenever he confessed to a murder. Great video guys.. and Happy Halloween 🎃
He's kind of like the late hitman Richard kuklinski aka The Iceman, claimed he worked for the Mob and did all sorts of crazy murders for them.
@@LarryFleetwood8675 So The Iceman lied about what he did too?
@@ianh6845 It would seem so, yes. Neither Sammy Gravano nor Dominick Montiglio, if you watch their videos, have good things to say about him. And it would make sense too, why would the Mob hire someone from the outside when they have their own killers, it's too risky.
congratulations michael and jessica on 400k subscribers!!! what a huge achievement!!! another great video! thankyou for your hard work and bringing these videos to those of us who do not have the money to travel to all these places!! 🖤❣🖤
Try visiting the Alcatraz of the East Crime Museum in Pigeon Forge TN a pretty Cool Crime Museum I have a Video of my Visit to the Gaithersburg and Pigeon Forge areas back in 2019 .
My high-school sent myself and 5 or 6 other "troubled" boys to the Indiana state prison for a tour and a sort of proto scared straight lecture. During the tour we got to go check out their electric chair, I don't remember if it was still in use but they also showed us the hospital style bed used for the injections. Fun times
4:34 I've heard that prison inmates make state license plates for cars, apparently for prison graveyards they do tombstones also.
I believe they manufacture the license plates at Byrd Unit in Huntsville but I could be wrong.
I used to work at the Wynne unit, the plates are manufactured at the Wynne unit
My mom is a Shreve. Our family founded Shreveport. To see someone pronounce the name correctly sincerely means a lot to me. 🖤
I was born in Barksdale Air Force Base
Henry Shreve cleared the 165 mile log jam, called "The Raft," on the Red River that flows thru Shreveport, which then led to the city becoming an important port, and they named the city after him for doing this. The log jam was about a thousand yrs old and had made that part of the river unnavigable.
@@joejones9520 very interesting! I had never heard that before
@@Onj207I know exactly where Barksdale is in bossier city. Just across the red River from Shreveport LA. Been there many times. I worked on base for 3 months. I lived in Shreveport from 1963 until 2021. I live in Florida now.
There is a good movie called “Henry” that’s worth a watch. Based on Henry and his buddy Ottis.
In situations like this, I just feel for the family and friends of lost loved ones who were teased with a possible bit of closure, only for their emotions to be dashed all over again. That is soooo cruel!*! 😕❤
By cops wanting pretend they had solved it.
When you get back to Los Angeles can you do content about the Night Stalker? I’ve been captivated with the story since the Netflix doc
Another entertaining and informative video. As a retired law enforcement/detective I found this particular video very interesting. Another great job guys thank you

Great Segment Grimm Life. I know it's nowhere compatible to the electric chair, but last year I suffered a medical emergency. One night last year I suffered with something called with ventricular fibrillation also known as sudden cardiac arrest which usually results in death in just a few minutes without immediate care. It's the No. 1 cause of natural death in the United States, and accounts for half of all deaths from heart disease. I was very fortunate there is a fire/rescue station less than a half mile from mile my house. When it occurred I wasn't terrified, a sense of calm actually came over me. I thought to myself "So this is how I'm going out, at least my Wife and Adult Son are with me." I don't know exactly, but I'm pretty sure the Paramedic Crew, and Firefighters arrived in 3 to 5 minutes. The first thing the Paramedic did was to check my vitals. My blood pressure was dangerously low, and he saw the ventricular fibrillation when he hooked me up to the EKG. The Paramedic said "We have to defibrillate you to get your heart in rhythm, but we don't have time to give you anything for the pain." The Paramedic was very honest and said "I'm not going to lie to you, this is going to hurt like a MFer" While he attached the two defibrillator pads to my chest. I just looked at him and said "Let's do it". I was actually sitting on my living room couch when I was defibrillated. My wife said when the paramedic pushed the button on the defibrillator I was knocked back about two feet. Like he had warned me, it was very painful and everything went white. The pain only lasted about 5 seconds, and then I was back to be fully aware of what was going on. Within 30 seconds, my heart rhythm was normal, my blood pressure started coming back up and I was on the way to the hospital feeling much better. The next day in the hospital, the paramedic that saved my life was there to bring someone else into the ER. He stopped by my room to see how I was doing. I owe the man my life and couldn't be more grateful for the professionalism, and empathy that night. What I learned that night is that life is very precious. Don't waste it. And the only thing that matters are the people you love. Everything else is just is just a distraction. Keep doing what you do. Thank you.
He did lead the officer to one body in the county I live in and now I work in a maximum security prison
For anyone interested, Henry Portrait of a Serial Killer, is a good low budget movie staring Michael Rooker loosely based on Lucas.
We need Bailey Sarian to tag along to tell the crime story and Grim Life to tour the town it happened.
13:42 In Stephen King's "The Green Mile" a green floor led to the electric chair. I wonder if there is any symbolism here with a green door and windows, like "the passage to hell is always greener and hotter on the other side of the wall."
Congrats on 400k subs! Ive been around since before you hit 100k. Love you guys and this channel.
13:25 bulletproof helmet.looks like that was on the Rob Zombie's devil rejects
Old Sparky reminds me of The Green Mile. Percy, one of the guards didn’t put the sponge on the prisoner and it took him longer to die.
Yeah I'm with Jessica on this one - let's avoid prison. BTW - I've been catching these serial killer episodes you've been doing (Ed Gein, Ted Bundy, etc.) and you've done a great job with them. It is hard to balances history telling with being respectful to the victims and the sheer horror of their crimes. Well done and thank you for sharing this history in your unique style.
Great episode. I worked nights at the Walls Unit in Huntsville while in college (early to mid 80s) and remember seeing some of these things, including Clyde Barrow's files. Execution nights were busy and bustling and surreal.
I wish I would have known. I’m 20 minutes from Huntsville. Awesome video.
It's got to be weird having a home overlooking a prison cemetery.
Heh, my mother grew up in the city HLL lived in on the outskirts of at around the same time. Townies looked down on the “hillbillies”. No doubt the abuse suffered upon that kid created the monster HHL was. Nature and nurture, folks.
They make their choices, not everyone who went through crap young turns out like that.

Lucas allegedly was beaten repeatedly about the head with a 2x4. His brain was damaged.
That jacket is dripped out bro!!! Both y’all always drippin 🖤🏴☠️
You're wife is sooo cute. I don't wanna go to prison. 😳😂
This is my new favorite channel. You both compliment each other. ❤️❤️
I once read that Henry tried to claim responsibility for Jonestown! When asked how he got there he responded, "Drove my Buick." Wish I could remember the source.
Lol
I worked with Lucas nephew here in the Blacksburg Virginia area were he's from and even that guy is weird. Lucas killed a young girl here and her body was never found.
Love you guys if your ever in north east Pennsylvania I have two aswom stories and I could show you around ahead of time. You rock
I watched that very long documentary of Henry Lee Lucas on Netflix. The 1st initial cop that came & picked him up from jail was feeding him information on all those cases that he "confessed" to. Imo I think that cop should've been fired but Texas is BIG on the good ol'boy system.
PS
I would've loved it if you would've read off the items that that inmate requested for his last meal. Did the paper say who the inmate was?
i have to check that out! sounds interesting! do you remember what its called?
I wondered the same about the meal and guess what! On my phone when I paused the video I could expand the screen like you do any photo. The writing is clear enough! Also there’s a last line after the meal request that’s a tiny bit funny. Definitely worth giving it a try. 😊
@@LostInSpace175 it's in the Docuseries it's called The Confession Killer & it's got his picture on the front of it.

I loved this opening when you said we're going to prison . And your wife turned away and said no thanks. LoL.
Great crime museum! Fascinating! Great music! Fascinating! L💙ve You Grimm!💙
Henry dun heard you two be talkin 'bout him. He's gonna reach up through his grave and grab yer ankles!
I wouldn't want to live in front of a grave yard.
I spoke to a guard who was there at the time and he said that HLL was the stupidest guy he ever met and didn't believe anything he said.
He certainly wasn't a rocket scientist, but he was smart enough to get day trips & outside meals out of them for quite a while, so he may have been uneducated, but he wasn't exactly stupid...he outsmarted a bunch of educated officers...Lol!
I think I'm inclined to agree @hauntrowtv
@Road_Rash Yup you're right about that, so he definitely wasn't stupid. But we could also argue that the guys interviewing him might not have been that bright and maybe wanted the attention he was bringing, or something along those lines.
@cheriemaree6249 The Netflix documentary is very strange on this. We will definitely be going to do a paranormal investigation soon for our channel and try to contact him and get done answers.
HE LOOKED LIKE AN IDIOT TO 🤣 ME!!
I dropped out for a while but THIS one got me BACK! 🤙☠
Bonnie's pearl-handled 1911 is so cool! It would sell for a ton today, no telling how much. The snub nosed 38 she had taped to her inner thigh sold for 250 thousand in 2012 i just read.
thats b.S
@@T.aP.m Nope, real. Look up "bonnie parker, snub nose 38, auction 2012. It was $264,000 in that auction. And the ATF had to issue a new serial number for it because the original was scraped off. And yes, Bonnie had it taped to the inside of her leg with white medical tape. I've held one just like it, my father-in-law did some work in the 1960s for the governor of Oklahoma, on special assignment, and we inherited his .38.
Omg that was adorable the look on Jessica's face when you said "we're going to prison" lol then you said too bad we're going and she walked away saying no thanks Priceless!! 👍😎
I just watched a documentary of Henry Lee Lucas. Crazy timing. Thanks.
I really liked how that female Dallas Detective made a fake murder file and he confessed.
Imagine being led into a room in shackles and seeing that chair waiting for you?
Life 🧬 is worth loosing
I’m only an hour from Huntsville gonna have to go check it out
March 12th, my birthday. Very cool museum.....that bullet proof helmet reminded me of the ones they wore in The Devils Rejects, lol. It amazes me the incredible artistic talents some inmates had. This Henry Lucas guy may have killed some people, yes, but he seemed to feed off obsessively the attention he was getting and loving every minute of it.
As always, another great story/video
Are you guys familiar with the murder case of Sylvia Likens. The 16 year old girl killed in Indiana by her friends?
Congratulations on 400k guys 👍
That was an odd intro. Why did she look like she is a kidnap victim? o.O
"I don't wanna go to prison"
"Too bad" 🤣🤣
Love u guys.. come back to Texas. So much crime here. Darlie routierr........CANDY....ETC
great 👍 video my friends a lot of history on america 🇺🇸 interesting never know about that thank you for sharing guy’s
They said every time Lucas had a craving for a milkshake & hamburger he'd confess to another murder. I read a book about Henry Lucas a long time ago. I know he killed his mama around 1960 and his teen age girlfriend who happened to be the niece of Otis Toole. His childhood was pretty abusive and dismal. Another great video y'all!!
Yep you got it and I think Otis Toole had a taste for KFC in exchange for a possible murder confession. .
Henry Lee Lucas???? I have never heard of this guy before but this is interesting. The intro though made me laugh and I love you two
That's because you're 10.
Ex president, at the time governor of Texas, George Bush commuted this guys death sentence to life in prison. Tell me that aint some good old boy ish... A freakin serial killer...
At 3:05, the first thing that popped into my head was "They're coming to get you Barbara" Just had a NOTLD feel with the guy in the back walking
Well Done, the Museum was very interesting. Amazing how they made all those things in Jail. I guess they have Plenty of Time to do it.
new sub! Found your channel through the interview you did with Shelly Duvall. Great content!!
Awesome can’t wait to see this new video’s Episode Thanks Grimmlifecollective 👏🏻❤️
He wanted to read the comics his brother was reading the newspaper. So his brother threw the paper at Henry and the corner of the paper took out his left eye
Yeah he said he'd killed someone and the truth was she crashed her car and ran into a lake. If I think correctly 🤔
Thanks for showing us the prison museum!
Greetings from a sunny South Africa.
Ed Geins grave marker was stolen also.
Extraordinary Texas prison history museum on Crime memory history
I don’t know if you know, but there was a female, governor or mayor. I think it was I can’t remember exactly what the title was during Bonnie and Clyde manhunt and she disbanded the Texas rangers because she thought they were incompetent but then she brought back Frank Hamer from the Texas rangers to hunt down Bonnie and Clyde and that’s what got the Texas Rangers back together.
So genuinely loving and affectionate are you both❤️
And then.... "Too bad! We're going to prison!" 🤣🤣🤣 Holy heck I literally got a chill down my spine when I saw the title of this vlog 👀 Scariest of the scary, this monster 😵💫
He was a big bullshitter.
See interviews with Ed Kemper, he was far more creepy.
Don't worry Grim, I got 2 get out of jail free cards for you folks.☮☮☮

I saw the documentary on him. He was an animal to do the things he did to those people. May they all rest in piece. I liked your video on him and seeing some other things I didn't on the documentary. Keep the videos coming. Love watching ❤️🎃
I watched him and his inbred mate on Netflix!
elles sont excellentes vos vidéos, continuez comme ça les amoureux c'est très bien . bonjour de France
I can't believe you guys were in Huntsville! Did you guys see the houses that look like a cowboy boot and cowboy hat?
I read in Dave Crosby biography that once at a party an ex con showed him our to pick a lock
When in prison later he broke the ice and impressed the prisoners when they saw what he had learnt.
They probably thought he was some rich kid rock star.
I liked to think he learnt some Leadbelly blues whilst he was in there.
Keep up the good work 😎
He said when young and addicted to drugs, a group he hung with would break into homes to steal stuff to sell to feed their habit.
Im so glad I discovered you guys. Great content! 😊

You need to go visit Missouri State Penitentiary. Sooooo much dark history AND haunted! I investigated there last spring and oh my sooooo haunted! 👻👻👻👻👻💀
FYI it is 100 years older than Alcatraz
When Lucas was asked questions, even as a liar, goes w/ his murder cover ups to throw the police off the cases,so he’d seem stupid, but more likely was the absolute killer that did do the murders. Ask a mass murderer questions and he’d give stupid answers making fun of procedures for getting accurate accounts of detailed information. He’s playing them before his zip time was near, (in reference “zip” meaning body bag for himself) He’s very guilty of very much.He may have lost track of the numbers of murders. But like if he went to a foreign country, he would cover his tracks if he did travel, back then the searches on his whereabouts didn’t have more accurate access like we do now. As in reading “I Monster” prisoners had their crime bibles to show other’s how to commit crimes. Some serial killers had their club system. The innocence are easily preyed upon. Criminal s casing unwary victims.
Y'all making me wish i went down south earlier lol. Visited San Antonio where I use to live and headed up to Huntsville. Cool stuff
what an interesting character this guy was!!
Make fun of the Texas Rangers. It’s okay. Incompetence always deserves criticism. That’s what drives improvement.

Shocker Woody Harrelson (spelling) father was in the prison system. Gruesome
Yeah Woody Harrelson's father was a winner. He was one of the railroad bums near Dealey Plaza in Dallas on November 22 1963.
No wonder Woody Harrelson turned out as weird as he did 😆
Great video, but I have to say some of the things on display at that museum were rather disturbing to see, including the electric chair. That's just me, I'm a woos!😂🖤
Thanks for taking us with you! Great episode.
The card describing the shortage of sodium thiopental has an interesting history. The “shortage” was actually due to the refusal to export it to US because the manufacturer was adamant it was an agent meant to help in anesthesia, not kill people.
Excellent video guys. .
Many thanks. .
Thank you for another interesting adventure, Michael and Jessica! Take care & be safe on your travels! 🧡🖤💚
Notification Squad!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Lucas wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed that's for sure. He just wanted the notoriety.
His partner Ottis Toole claimed he murdered the Walsh boy in Florida.
👉 Henry Lee Lucas. Three confirmed, six disputed, 250 plus falsely claimed. He was a killer but also s bullshit artist. He loved the attention and it got him free trips and perks. He had his own way of escaping from prison.
Thank you both this was very informative and interesting
Confessions of a serial killer is a pretty bloody movie. I watched when I was a teen and it was hard to watch twice. Otherwise I don’t think he murdered as many, obviously he and Toole did do plenty of damage. Not as much as they claim IMO
Almost all electric chairs were called old sparky or as in Nebraska it's Ol' sparky. While doing time for a crime I did not commit one of my jobs was to clean death row and Ol' sparky. At that time it was not used but still hooked up and the smell from the wood was so bad I would puke, the smell of burnt flesh never left the wood.
