as a fellow irishman far from my homeland, i love watching all sorts of dance here, but its the the familiar steps of Ireland that i miss most. incredible work throughout
I didn’t even realize it was 8 yrs. old until I read your comment. Amazing dancing and wonderful choreography! I love the joyful energy of Tap dancing, it always makes me smile. Your video took me back to my 6 yr. old self doing shuffle ball change.. occasionally in sync with my classmates, while a crackling 45 record played Hard Hearted Hannah (The Vamp of Savannah) as loud as our teachers suitcase record player would go. :) Thanks for that too

I think the smiles deflect from the stunning skill, strength, and grace. Almost anyone can smile, but...
Am I the only how the art form of tap dancing in any fashion ever came about ... of course, we might ask ourselves that question about many things however I'm thinking about dance at the moment cuz I've been watching different types of dancing this evening. And they all have their bits of excellence that stand out and these dancers and this video I found to be quite elegant among other positive aspects.

OMG nearly as good as me!! now now ,I have the shoes and can do a couple oshuffle step hops, and the drum...the one where you go sideways those shoes are heavy !!!
Same…old dancer here who walked away to become a mom & serve country. No regrets, but my entire body began to twitch, wanting to join in-as if. Did you find yourself counting? 5-6-7-EIGHT! This brought HUGE smile to my face!!

@@lululipes4382 Irish Dancing has two sets of shoes. Soft shoes, also called Ghillies, which resemble Ballet shoes. And Hard shoes, which heavily resemble (and are often mistaken for) Tap shoes and Clogs. This is an example of more stylized hard shoe choreography, normally dancers don't move their arms or upper body at all while dancing. In fact, you can be marked down in competitions because of it

@@lululipes4382 I do tap dance and this looked more like Irish dance than tap dance (apart from the hand movements. They were moving their arms more than I've seen in Irish dance usually). We have different kind of steps in tap dance than they do in Irish dance (though of course these styles of dance have a lot in common too). Irish dance and tap dance are not the same.

I have to say it, but this guy is smooth af. I love his form when he pauses and starts dancing again. OMG I wish I could dance like him. Even if I can't dance at least let me have his form. Just awesome.
Bigpeaches maybe , you could take ‘Tap Dancing Lessons’. You could achieve both objectives.

Long-sleeve dress close-fitted to the waist, with flared or box-pleated skirt skimming the knees, plus stockings or socks, appears to be the traditional modern costume. I like it better, for this dance.
I came just for the suit part in the thumbnail. Everyone looked snazzy
