      Thomas, can I ask you why you seem to be emphasizing the mono and poly unsaturated fats over the saturated fats in the meat products? My understanding of healthy dietary fat IS clean animal saturated fats. For contrast eggs, as we all know, just about the perfect food, are very high in saturated fat but you didn't mention that in the egg discussion'. Not trying to complain or trap you...I'm really interested to understand. Thank you for wonderful video...I've been thinking about wading back into the craziness of COSTCO shopping to start buying more bulk for high quality red meat and hamburger. This vid convinces me to go back in. Ironically you skipped the red meat zone completely. : /

    This channel really is top tier in a super saturated youtube space. Really love how you break everything down and are realistic about diets. Tired of the channels where we have guys eating a absurdly amount of oatmeal, 3 eggs, and a half a bottle of egg whites for breakfast and then just plain chicken and broccoli for all other meals. This is a channel where people can actually translate it to their actual lives. Keep it up man you are awesome.

The resealable bag is 5.5 pounds and is now just over $70, although it used to sell for under $40. One scoop is 31 grams, of which 24 grams is protein. It has almost no fat or carbs, and comes in vanilla or chocolate. It mixes easily into a shake. I add creatine, beta alanine, arginine and an amino acid supplement of both essential and non-essential aminos. This supercharges my workouts.

    Your Greek yogurt assessment...some may note the difference in the serving size. Minimal. However, some folks may find it enough to pick one over the other, which is one thing to note when comparing products.

    Bacon bits also a great deal at costco. Once you cook bacon down you lose tons of the fat, making it a crazy price pound for pound. 20 oz for less than ten bucks is an amazing deal.

      I bought a bag the other day. I keep it in my freezer and grab a handful as needed. I realized the cost saving and ease of use this product provides. I also had no self control and used to cook and eat a whole pound of bacon in one day if it was around. Not tempted to eat the bacon bits that way.

    Lions Mane,Reishi, turkey tail, oyster,cordyceps have the 9 essentials amino acids for your body. i have AB negative blood type and I don’t do well with all proteins animal and certain dairy. I can eat cultured dairy. Plus these mushrooms have support for your immune system, digestion, focus, stress relief, stamina. At meijers they have mushroom burgers, whole mushrooms, and so forth. I do eat some meat but only one meal. 🙏 The protein shakes with milk protein are not friendly for my stomach gastrointestinal system.

    I don't see why not pick the orgain over the other plant based powder if you are vegan. Both have a perfect amino acid profile. You don't need 20 different protein sources to get a good amino acid profile. My favorite I've seen so far is the GNC plant based powders though not at Costco.

      @Patra K she said meat, not protein specifically... If meat was just all encompassing 100% protein you'd have a point.... So anyways I eat .7g/lbs of bw... Ranging from bacon to chicken... Nice try on the medical research weird flex.

    • @johnnypenso9574
      @johnnypenso9574 2 года назад +2

      1g/lb is my target. You can get protein from many sources but meat/fish/eggs are the best, most complete proteins. It's tough to get to 1g/lb without being conscious of protein intake with every meal so you need to do a little planning to get there. Ted Naiman is a good reference for this.

    Kiolbassa organic smoked beef sausage, 100% grass fed/finished. One sausage is 300-calories, so I don't think that is outrageous for the quality of the meat. Cheaper at Costco in Carson City, Nevada, $13.99 per package.
