Awesome update. Totally happy with my Prime Go, just wish they would finally add a Loudness leveler like serato has had for over a decade. The MP3 volumes are all over the place when I copy my libraries over from Serato. I then have to remember to run them through MP3gain to rebalance them. Yes, Im aware we can level on the fly, but when entertaining a crowd or Camera, the less non-essentials we have to worry about, the better we can entertain!
Totally agree, auto gain needs to be implemented, came from Traktor to prime 2 and was one of the first things I noticed!
VirtualDJ has built in limiter and auto gain

Cleveland bro, thanks for the review. After watching this I ordered the Prime Go and this piece of gear is awesome. The compatibility with Virtual Dj was the main selling point for me, but also the sound quality is fantastic.
This is a crazy review Cleveland. Now I must get a Denon Prime Go. Love that VDJ works with this controller.

The GO is by far my most used and versatile piece of equipment EVER.

really impressive update for sure! I gotta double up on the praise to Denon and give it up to InMusic overall. this is their style with their other products too. I got a Numark mixstream pro, an MPC and they just keep getting better, they're worth more to me now than when I bought them and I can't say that about anything else. They're focused on providing the community with what we need and sometimes what we didn't think we needed. Big up InMusic!
Thanks Terry! Ordered mine tonight. Will Use Serato as the baseline for organizing everything and then as you said, open VDJ and have everything imported over hopefully in exact order with some work, and use this for situations where that is needed such as weddings with multiple setups that require moving around.

I went to the prime 4 and the prime go, this update is a game changer for my prime go especially! Love denon and what they're doing with this hardware!
So I have a work around for the mics not having EQ on the Prime Go. I bought a Yamaha MG06 6 channel analog mixer. It was $137, so I know that’s an extra cost, but, It has two switchable mic/line inputs with high and low EQ on each of those channels. You can run the two channels in stereo or mono. I am going to run them in stereo with the left/channel 1 output going to mic 1 input on the Prime Go and the right/channel 2 output to the mic 2 input of the Prime Go. This will at least give me high and low EQ on both mics. I have a Goal Zero power bank that has a 110 outlet that I can run the Yamaha MG06 AC adapter off of if I need to be totally wireless.
I sell my prime go just because in 2 years they cannot add the vu-meters for each channel and was really uncomfortable to regulate the gain all the time in live program, so I bought a numark mixstream pro and mod with internal battery for 4h more longer then prime go.

Because of this review I’m going to buy one of these. I’d never considered moving from Serato to Denon Prime before but the portability and updates makes it a great option!

This was a great review boss. I love my Prime GO, with my M1 Ipad Pro. What I cannot find is instruction on how to use Soundswitch inside the GO. I bough the soundswitch usb dongle, and a soundswitch subscribe. Is there somewhere with in the menu, that I am supposed to put my login credentials for soundswitch, like I did for tidal? I have some pretty nice lights and want to use soundswitch.

@@djnaydee I do not pay monthly. I purchased VDJ for 300 dollars 9 years ago. And I have not paid another dime since and every update is free. Even when the entire program was changed they did not charge us for the new software. Just a great program always has been. I have used Traktor, and Serato and now denon engine with VDJ as backup. I use my prime go for small events and my prime 4 for big dance events. I had the pioneer ddj sz and it was not stand alone and was just a big heavy beast so i sold it to guitar center and bought the prime 4 followed by the prime go and I have not looked back. Keep em dancing

You think it will ever be possible to download Serato, VDJ, DJ onto a standalone device (denon, pioneer etc.).......then use it on the device without a laptop?
That would be a game changer and honestly, I can probably see either Denon or Pioneer doing that in the future...

It would be tough. You'd have to have buy in from both sides, hardware and software.

Does Prime Go have an on-board noise sweep? A is the low/high pass filter and B the echo sweep. I read about using shift to change to noise sweep since v2.3.2 but it doesn't change. Or is Virtual DJ specific?

Awesome update. I have the prime go and I use it everyday and I updated to version 2.3.0. So far I like it, but I do not use soundswitch. I see they the beat jump icons on the prime go screen. It says to set the beat jump size that i'd have to hold down the shift button and press the beat jump back and forward button to decrease or increase the size respectively. I did this, but it didn't decrease or increase the size value.
Same problem for me, denon is aware and working on it

Hello CT, did you use the VDJ early access build 7093 to make the Denon GO work. I downloaded it but could not install it on Windows. Your help is much appreciated. Btw, I subscribed to your channel.
That’s the one I used.
I have the prime go is great for scenarios when your outside events it does great in hot weathers, better than a computer would, Awesome to know that we can now use our computers with it some of my fellow djs liked the idea of the prime go but dragged having to analyze their crates and run them through engine software but this is a game changer for some of those djs out there it could be. Plug a play option straight from your computer now.

I just purchased the denon go and I was hoping you could help me. I am having trouble activating the sweep FX buttons. I tap A and B and no difference? Also on my headset the left side cue is a lot louder than the right. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

Update should have fixed migration from Serato issues. Still doesn't bring over my cue poits and takes 3 or 4 refreshes to recognize new crates in Engine. Any hints on how to fix please? PEACE

Hey great video. It seems like only your Beta version works, at least on Mac right now. In the actual 2.3 update for Mac OS that I updated on "WEB" option you don't have to hold the headphones Icon to boot up. I see the new computer icon in source tab and I make it all the way to computer mode on screen but, the prime go stays stuck there for an hour. I tried to reboot and same results. Virtual DJ see the Prime GO but never ask me to use as an out like it did on your example. Hope I don't have to wait for 2.3.1 🙏🏾.

Hey man I know you are busy but I think you would know this question. Is there anyway I can Disable the Touchbar 2018 MacBook Pro because every time I change a song in Serato DJ pro the Touchbar lights up and sort of stalls and lags every time.

man i did update to 2.3 on my prime 4 but now my waveform after 4-to 8 beat is slagging (stoping) i re downloaded but still same problem

So disappointed they didn't think of Go users when they updated the beat jump to be separate from loop length. I need to beat jump different lengths on the fly, it's how I play. But now I have to go into settings to change it. Ruined my work flow, they acknowledged the oversight but it's been months and no updates.
Works with Algo Riddum as well, just needs them to do the mapping.

😏I wish you luck getting In Music (Denon, Soundswitch, Akai, etc.) to develop apps for this. In Music is already super proficient in destroying software. 🤬ArKaos is a big one I'm mad about. Haven't had an update in almost 3 years and they're still selling it.
They do not want to create software. They want you to buy hardware with their firmware in it. 🤯I have to use resolume for some reason. Which is not their software.👎

Make sure you’re on the most current update. You might need to use the beta. 7093 I think.

I thought the Prime Go was already the ultimate controller. What's battery powered and standalone out here. Nothing.
I do not like when you put it in computer mode the music stop playing it needs to be like the Pioneer RX 3

Excellent you have a lot of reason virtual dj go up because its last update has improved remarkably with its serato stems it only updates a number and there is no improvement in the software it hinders the stability of the hardware with software no more updates that does not mean a change in serato. .. how good for virtual dj is making many djs opt for change...
These AI are going to take over. Do serato and recordbox have any plans to implement AI stems? I know traktor has it in their roadmap. Maybe Traktor will great again.
