Very nice little boat and a cute video. A word to the wise is about the engine reversing to disperse the seaweed. We rented a SeaDoo a few years back in Key West. A few times the reversal of the engine did get the seaweed out, but if a lot gets in there the only way to get it out is to swim under the boat and pull the seaweed out by hand. I let my daughter, who was sixteen at the time, drive and she got the intake plugged up real good. We were a couple of miles out and it was starting to get dark. If I didn’t go under the boat to pull out what was stuck in there we would have been sleeping on the Sea-Doo that night. I took off my shirt and shoes and jumped in, in my shorts. The weather was beautiful, but the water was cold, and I didn’t realize I was hitting my face against the boat while pulling out the seaweed from underneath. I was running on adrenaline and wanted to get us all back to shore safely. After struggling for a few minutes, I did get it cleaned out, but about an hour later I had the worst black eye you can imagine. Lol.
Hi. We have a 13' Coral blast too. Love it. Added the swim platform, Marine Mats, Impact Graphics, rear gate, table and Reef Rap. Oh, and joined SeaTow after sucking up vegetation in a FL Lake.
Thanks Mark and Lori, I have enjoyed all your videos all these years! My wife is still playing all those lottery tickets all these years! Well Mark, and Lori, when we hit that big lottery, I am calling you both, to find our hotel/or condo to buy for our snowbird days! Again, thank you two for sharing with us!
The Switch is a fun little boat. I have the 18', tows fine behind my '19 Cherokee Trailhawk. Steep windy grades at highway speeds was the only time it wasn't enough, just not geared right. Can't wait for the snow to go away so I can break it back out of storage.
Ya but a boat that short riding on those waves it’s not a bad ride at all from what I see…I’d love to have one especially because it’s a Sea Doo their some of the most reliable boats built especially their engines 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
I seen a place in Summerland that you can rent the Switch. Any chance you can try it out and do a review? I would love to take the Switch into the backcountry!
Hi you two. I don’t know what the deal is with a Jeep pulling one of these unless it’s a manual transmission. I have an Unlimited with automatic and it is rated at 500LBS. Heck, I’ve pulled a travel trailer that’s 4400 and no problem. The 21’ Sea Doo is only 2400 LBS with the 170HP motor. 🤔
Oh ya the Jeep can pull more. My Jeep is rated for 3500 LBS and yes I could have gotten the larger 18' or even the 21'. When I start pulling anything over 2000 LBS stopping becomes the problem. If the trailer has it own break system then it's not an issue. The 12' boat is a blast and being able to easily pull it around the Keys is nice.
Ordered one and then canceled the order before delivery. Understand the hulls need to be drained and flushed after every use or you end up with a non reversible mess. Fantastic design from a top notch manufacture however the hull issue is a serious long term problem.
I have seen videos of those jet ski watercraft that suck up sea trash and lock up the propeller. Use caution boating through trash or rope in the water.
They have a black painted trailer instead of a galvanized or aluminum one, so I would have expected the saltwater to badly corrode it. Any idea if they’ve had bad rust issues with that trailer?
They were on the boat, but typically we do not wear them all the time on the boat. they just must be accessible to all on board and there must be one for each person plus a throwable floatation device.

Great story. Boat 1 you 0
Great video. Loved the boat and the couple who took us on this fabulous journey were also great. Keep the videos coming! Escape time!

the best thing to do - sit at a bar next to a boat landing and watch people argue...lol
Heck Yeah🙌🏻🙌🏻😂😂😂 that’s a great afternoon, watching people at the boat ramp IMO😂😂😂😂
Looks like you all had a great time. Thanks for sharing.
Girl you are a trip! So adorable!
We have had o urs for a year now and still love it.
Guys, I really liked today’s video, thanks. Got to check out that Sea-Doo to sometime.

Thanks for sharing. Neat boat.
Nice boat! I have a craigcat. Can't get enough of it. Only has 2 seats but that's what we like...lol
I think the 230hp powerplant would solve the struggle to plane issue and should be optional IMO. Would be a lot of fun with that powerplant!
It’s a cute little boat 😊Thank you for sharing your video 👍🏻A boat for me if someone puts it in for me

The view from that house has me needing to get there bad. With winter getting ready to set in up here. I just don't want to go through it again.
Living the life. 🎉
Ballsy taking that Barbardier bunk on the big water 😂
You got to put a hitch on the front of that jeep too that way you don't have to turn around
Love you guys for sure. Laurie is looking very cut, but that boat is worse than terrible I'll keep watching you guys!

Thanks Guys!
Our pleasure!

Man, some people just have it all. I thought i had it pretty good, but it’s nothing compared to these people 😢

I went out on my larson Saturday. Just went and turned the batteries off today. Jus sayin

Great little craft, but these are way overpriced for what they are. I have doubts on any resale value.
Especially if the hull drain issues are legit. Who knows what kind of mess you would be inheriting.
Go w BOTH your gut feeling 's!
With great, expensive reasons.
Today is October 11,2024.
I hope y’all made it through the hurricane ok
Thank you, fortunately we did not have much effects from the storms here in the Keys.
Take it easy in all that sun. Potential that can be high price too pay.
Thanks, we do take precautions and wear 50 spf sunscreen and try to use reef safe 😁

Not so far, but he is diligent about spraying it down and using corrosion blockers.
What engine is this one
I hope y’all are safe
Thank you, we are all good in the Keys. No damage here.
Biggest are 230hp 21'
What salt removal product do you flush with? Do you flush after every trip? Thx
It has a water hose attachment to flush the pontoons and the engine. I do it after each run.
I use salt away after every trip.
They do not make a 22 foot long 270 hp CD switch
Is that the coco plum sand bar. Looks like it.
Yes it was!
What size was this Sea Doo?
12 foot
Very expensive starter boat, my first boat was a small v haul that cost me $2500 dollars. These are starting at $28,000 and up.
Just attach a motor to tupperware and your heading to the sandbar lol
How much are these?
The one they got with the larger motor was $30K.
Not bad..25k..?
If you going to use this in salt water spend the little extra and get a galvanized/aluminum trailer painted won't last 2 summers .
We will let the owners know that. They keep it out of the water unless they are using it though. Thanks for the tip!
I guess everyone just pees on each other all day!
Well of course! We thought it might be distasteful to put that part in the video.
Don't roll that thru the vaca cut
"Manual pull".... The anchor is less than 10 pounds in 2 feet of water 😅😅😅😅
First world issues right! LOL
@@GablesOnTheGo that's some next level bougie right there :)
$24k? Hell no!
Itty bitty what?
Get rid of the Jeep and get a truck!
Pontoon are not good for ocean water because is a bumpy ride
Enjoyed video but no life jackets? I guess that’s a thing of the past.

Failed commercial for this Seadont 👎🏼
no fun without the bikini
