@@ravenragnar Thats a great question! You know there are pros and cons abiut both i think. I have owned both and can say the positive and negatives about both. I like that with the Switch you can go in realy shallow waters and explore more around the Keys and Bahamas! I really like the space it offers and versatility
You wont be catching 6ft Cudas in 1-2ft of water. Big Cudas are in deeper waters!! It was super shallow where i caught him. Well compared to small little Rock Bass in Canada where I am from its big lol.
@@iAnnaSOutdoors lol...yes, there is no way a really large cuda would be in 1-2 ft of water. It looked deeper than that in your video, like a deep drop-off, and I was expecting something several feel long. We were fishing the mouth of the river (where river and sea meet) that day we got the grand daddy of all barracuda. I know he was over 6ft in length because my father was holding it up and, with tail on the ground, it was over his head by a good 5-6 inches; my father is 5 ft 11in. I can't even tell you how large it was in girth, but it was massive.
@@summersands8105 You are correct, I have been in the Mangrove beds and have ran into many 5-6 footers, in under 1-3 feet of water. In my 58 years in Florida this is the first time I have ever seen someone want to eat Barracuda, there is a reason the restaurant did not server it. lol
@@keithoutdoors7337 We didn't eat ours either. We gave it to the guard who took care of our security. He immediately popped out an eye and ate it, then popped out the other and handed it to my father. I think that was the first and last time in my life I saw my father go truly green...I thought he was going to pass out or throw up. Wasn't quite sure which. ROTFL Needless to say, he did not eat the eyeball.
@@iAnnaSOutdoorsyeah you can get sick as hell from Ciguatera posioning, but that small you should be ok. The barracuda eat fish that have the poision. It the small ones are “supposed to be ok”
Thats great to here you have the same Switch! As for the trailer, ours is holding up ok but wr rinse everything with freshwater after we get home. Theres is also a product you can use as well to protect it. Otherwise Salt eats everything! Is your trailer Galvanized?

How do you like the Switch vs' a center cockpit outboard of the same length? Thanks!

@@iAnnaSOutdoors Thanks! I am now on the hunt for one. What was the deciding factor on the length for ya'll?
@@ravenragnar We prefer bigger because we have children, dogs and lots of gear. Fishing, Camping, Diving, Spearing etc! We wanted the extra power too
Love the channel! We’re just about to buy a 230 hp 21 foot switch. Can’t wait after seeing what you guys do.
Thats exciting!!!!! What color you getting? Thanks so much, Im glad you like the channel
👍Super
Thank you
I was not expecting the "big" barracuda to be that small. We fished cuda's in Africa and they were BIG. The biggest we ever got was over 6 ft...lol

Nice video
We were always told to not eat cuda because of some sort of reef disease but I always wanted to try. 😀😀😀😀
Really? I have never heard of it. Interesting. Im going to google it! Well it was delicious either way!

I’ve heard Cuba taste fantastic and are safe to eat in some areas, but I have gotten the balls yet.
