    hi there.... Norway at its best.... totally soaking down to the bones.... imagine having that kind of trip being topped by daily camping .... instead of going to hotels etc. - that would have been the real challenge.... 😊

      Hi, yeah great to see all the waterfalls raging because of the rain and so atmospheric riding through the clouds =)
      We like camping and have all our gear with us, but in conditions like these we neither have the time or desire to camp -also as we are travelling off season the availability of huts is really good! Wild camping coming soon =)
      Cheers

      The waterfalls are everywhere because of melting snow from the mountains, the rain hardly makes a difference. You were very unlucky with the weather unfortunatly

    My favorite couple on MC!😊
    I love watching all your nice videos here. It's not easy for a Norwegian to understand all of your pronunciation of different places in Norway, but I managed to catch Trondheim 😂
    I'm from Bergen, a beautiful little city (the second largest in Norway) that I hope you will visit one day.
    Next time you come to Norway, I would recommend construction roads that have been built for the development of hydropower plants. Then you can experience miles of beautiful nature and little traffic.
    I wish you a beautiful summer and safe travel😊

      Hi Tore! Thanks very much 😊
      Hahah we found that out the hard way, perhaps we needed to practice them before leaving ...i think we gave them new English versions of the name lol 😂
      You live in a truly beautiful place, we had planned to visit Bergen but we just didn't have enough time in the end as we had huge distances to cover. We did ride the road to Lysebotn but I'm sure there are countless others we don't know about.
      Looks like you are on one of the first episodes of the playlist so we hope you enjoy the rest of the videos and apologise in advance for the pronunciations 😂.
      Hope you have a great one too and we hope to return to Norway as we had such a fantastic time touring your country.
      All the best
      Sean and Emily

      Hi Anita, and thanks for watching the Heading North Tour Playlist 😊
      Yeah we like traveling in the off season to avoid the crowds and it seemed to have worked for this trip. Yeah it did rain a lot but we didn't really notice until we made the videos because we were having such a good time in Norway. As soon as we got further North the weather got a lot better. For sure we want to come back and see the bits we missed! Thanks for watching and we hope you enjoyed the series 😎👍

    Nice video! Funfact: The cabin you noticed at 1:23 was actually built by the austrian philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein as a place where he could write undisturbed.

    Despite the rain and the fog what a beautiful country! Or due to the rain and the fog. The GS is awesome in the rainmode I see. Love the way you both make these vlogs

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  Год назад

      Yes exactly! Norway needs the rain to look the way it does so no complaints from us =) Yeah the rain mode really does make things as safe as possible and it's a great feature to have (we do get to put it back to road mode soon lol)
      Thanks for your support and kind words.

    Yer stunning considering how wet it was the picture’s were amazing Em , well done. I love riding in the rain( well you have to if you live in the U.K. or you’d never go out on the bike ) I have to say one or two of the roads were a little shimmery or smooth I prefer them a little rougher to be quite honest , great video guys 😎Graham

      @SeanandEmily  Год назад

      It was a big struggle keeping the camera dry! Em did an amazing job of shielding, checking and wiping =) -footage turned out great!
      Yeah it's not so bad riding in the rain especially as we had brand new tires on, but as you say a rougher road would have been nice -there were some slippy section for sure. Thanks mate!

    Wow! I rode through mid Sweden up to Mo I Rana in Norway and down the coast towards Oslo. There were some spectacular roads there, but nothing like this! You've found some incredible routes!

    What is it about your productions? I always feel like I'm "living it" through your lense, stunning! Recently had a holiday in Canada (Alberta/British Columbia) and I was actually left feeling speechless and emotional at times. Thanks for this.

      That must have bee a fantastic trip, I lived in Revelstoke BC for a short while and it's spectacular there -so much untouched nature.
      You are welcome and we hope you enjoy the next one just as much =)

    Great to see another video so soon! You may as well be on another planet, the scenery is as you both say, literally insane! Similar to Iceland in some ways but personally I prefer to see trees like there are on this trip and talk about waterfalls and glaciers and amazing reflections, reckon I'd have to stop every two mins to take photographs, lol. I suppose you're also giving those Touratech jackets the ultimate test, looks like they'd be a good consideration when the time comes to buy new gear! Hope you enjoyed your meal, ride safe, really looking forward to the next episode! PS loving the camera work whilst on the bike !

      Glad you enjoyed it - videos will be out every Wed, Sat and Sun until the tour is complete! =)
      Yeah it really does feel like a different world and yeah Iceland made us feel the same way. The air was so fresh with all the trees too. Yeah it was hard to make progress some days with all the photo stops lol ...keeping the camera in the tank bag is a great help (as well as a small umbrella to protect the camera).
      Yeah we have put them through their paces this year...from 35 degrees heat in Spain to all day rain in Norway -we have to say they have done great! kept us cool in the heat and dry and warm in the wet. Probably the best suit we have ever had. Dinner way great thanks and nice to be in normal clothes and dry for the evening =)
      Thanks again for your kind words and encouragement it really means a lot.
      All credit to Em for the camera work =)
      Cheers

    Unrelated question: how did you guys do with the language barrier, or do you speak Norwegian?

    • @SeanandEmily
      @SeanandEmily  Год назад +2

      Hi Brian, In Norway almost everyone can speak near perfect English. We didn’t meet one person that didn’t, it’s very impressive. It would be nice to be able to speak Norwegian -even just to be able to pronounce the place names would be nice 😁
      Cheers

      I have a friend who is living and working in Norway, along with her husband and children. They truly love it there and have no immediate plans to return to the USA. With what you have shown us here, who can blame them. Thank you again for taking me along with you. I love your bike too. I almost bought the same, but chose instead a 2021 Goldwing Tour DCT. I love it. Anyway, travel safe friends.@@SeanandEmily

      Hi, Actually we were saying how we could see ourselves living in Norway, -even with the weather hehe, so we can understand why your friends are enjoying living there so much.
      You're very welcome and it's good of you to comment and let us know your thoughts on the channel -most appreciated.
      Oh nice! -the Goldwing is a truly magnificent machine and i guess it's perfect for Northern America (although we have yet to discover it ourselves).
      Cheers Brian and have a great weekend -new episodes out this weekend as ever =)
