Outlast 2 (Outlast II) is a first-person survival horror video game developed and published by Red Barrels. It is the sequel to the 2013 video game Outlast, and features a journalist named Blake Langermann, along with his wife Lynn, roaming the Arizona desert to explore the murder of a pregnant woman, Jane Doe. Unfortunately, Blake and Lynn get separated in a helicopter crash, and Blake has to find his wife while traveling through a village inhabited by a sect that believes the end of days is upon them.
Blake Langermann, an investigative journalist and cameraman working alongside his wife, Lynn, crash-lands and roams onto the Supai region of the Sonoran desert while following the mysterious murder of a young, pregnant woman only known as Jane Doe. While searching for his missing wife, Blake must travel through a village cut off from society where a sect that believes the end of days is upon them has taken up residence.
Outlast 2 is a first-person survival horror game that, like its predecessors Outlast and Outlast: Whistleblower, is a single-player campaign.

This game doesn't really scare me the way others do, it really stresses me out with all the chasing and suspense build up. The anxiety really kicks in with this one.
Personally, this is the scariest game I've ever play, I don't know you have played it but the feeling I get when I'm playing I can't get it when I'm watching somebody else playing it. BTW, I'm here because I'm stuck in this chase and since he cut the video, I still don't know how to avoid death :c

I am playing outlast 2 and I'm surprised that I'm close to the ending, because when I played the first one, I was even scared to progress in the basement where you had to restore the power. That shows games are much scarier when the events are happening in a building, outlast 2 is a great game too, but the atmosphere's not as scary as the first one's

This part in the mines with those creepy things reminds me of the horror movie The Decent for some reason.
Damn it. The most frustrating thing is that bathroom part. So many RUclipsr's miss the sequence of going into a bathroom stall and the monster sings a song "little eyes" and you have to crawl to each stall while the monster checks them. When the song ends, everything goes quiet. You then open the door to get out of the stall and suddenly the whole room gets covered with that red vine-like stuff. Followed by the monster roaring. It's a really scary and well done sequence. But the problem is the sequence is very confusing for the player and often dies. When they respawn, they go to a checkpoint that skips everything. That is a developer fuck up.
CleanserOfNoobs yeah I feel like Brad is missing so much of the important parts of the story. Like he keeps calling Marta a monster when she's just a crazed woman.

Here's an invaluable tip! When you're being chased down a dark area by enemies keep the camera on so that you can see where you're actually going.

You just know the monster syndicate played hardball on the "one monster - one machete" policy.
The whole raining blood business, makes me think of a song with the same title, from a band called Slayer.
I believe insane only gives you one battery for the whole game. The speed runs are impresive.

i liked the hide and seek aspect it made it alot scarer that if they opened it u die and you had to run to place to place not getting caught
the lockers would be for the miners back when the mine was still open so they could put like there stuff in there before they go to work or change to work clothes
It's Eddie Gluskin and in Outlast 2 there's like a little bit of lockers not a lot of lockers in this game but remember there is a lot of lockers in the first outlast and in the dlc whistleblower of outlast too
You know if you start hearing things unusually you can all ways use the video camera microphone to see where it's coming so your prepared to run,hide, etc
this game is good but it,s not as good as the first one, i think it has it,s ups and downs, while the first game was flawless and i think the first outlast had more Jumpscares.
