@@thegreatballplayer1 AC Valhalla is in between Oddysey and Origins. The problem is that they try to please everyone and end up pleasing no one. However, I think it was a step forward from Oddysey, and definitely not a bad game.

@Peaceful Account AC3 has a significant part on that for Connor's mother and Haytham. Legit the main reason Connor became an Assassin was also to revenge his mother's and his people's death, then after Haytham is dead (not shown explicitly) Connor found Haytham's diary which is AC Forsaken novel.

@@shaheenziyard5631 Ää not rly. You see assasins creed odyssey had the feel of playing as an assasin way more than Valhalla. It just was completely different style from almost any other assassin's Creed game.
It made me definitely feel like an assasin without you being an official assasin. And I didn't even care about that at all. I think for some reason people want to keep that old format of what assassin's Creed has to be. When odyssey atleast to me made me feel like an assasin quite a lot and the story revolves around same kinds of missions that an assasin for sure would do
@@shaheenziyard5631 I didn't finished Odyssey but in Valhalla, the whole assassins story is more of a sub-plot because the entire game is entirely focused on being a viking and doing viking things.

I know that you mean this ironic, but actually there was contact between the middle east (Abbasid-caliphate) and the vikings. The vikings also tried to raid some muslim territories in Cordoba and Northern Persia. Ibn Fadlan actually had an expedition in Norway where he wrote a book about the lifestyle of vikings. He came to the cunclusion that vikings and his people had some similarities like the belief of entering eternal joy in the afterlife if you lived a honorable life in this world.

@@Quester91I mean it is… it’s a shitty AC game, but it’s a truly amazing Viking game on it’s own. The sheer amount of options available to you along with your own creativity is baffling. Plus mixing and matching different drip, weapons, skills and abilities can lead to all kinds of cool/goofy shit. If people weren’t so hung up on the fact that this game has AC in the title, they’d see that it’s easy to spend hours on end in this game.
The way I got past it not being an ac game was never playing an ac game in the first place
It's a good game if you are interested in vikings and norse mythology, you can have fun playing it but it's far from being called a masterpiece since it's an AC game.
It's also pretty disappointing in certain aspects and Ubisoft could have done much better, it's a pretty wasted potential.

@Einn Ulfr Valhalla isn't as bad as it's made out to be but it is a pretty weak game in terms of writing and a few other things. I honestly believe Ubisoft should ditch the Assassin's Creed titles and make these games with their own original stories.
